Can I suggest placing your filter on the aquarium before you filling aquarium with water to make sure there is room for the filter between aquarium and the back wall
Shouldn't you wait for the nitrogen cycle to take its course before introducing any live animals to it? Because it has to go through Ammonia phase then Nitrite phase before it can get to the stable Nitrate phase, and that can be really hard on the fish if they're in the tank while it's doing that.
I like the setup but then if you are gonna have none or cardinal tetras in there you would definitely need live plants and not artificial plants for them to live to their longest and happiest

@Kenneth Farley false and just an opinion i have a hob and sponge filter and crystal clear water and never had an issue, canister filters are overrated and most the time not even nessasary or financially smart when can get the same out come with very easy cleaning as well as a canister filer without spending so mucu, this hobby is as expensive as you make it and if you do have the funds to buy all the top of the line products, like ADA tanks and the aquascaping line of products or can simply use wood from the outdoors and cleaned ect, its all in what works for each individual and the financial capabilities that the person is able to afford, ive never seen anywhere that 30g and above requires a canister filter if your buying let me know!
I like to put the heater right next to the filter intake. This way the filter is circulating the heated water.

I don’t agree with the “inch per gallon” rule. It’s not great to add a ten inch fish to a ten gallon tank so this rule doesn’t apply to all fish.

You should add feeder fish and wait for the tank to cycle before adding expensive fish.
That's not how you add fish to a new tank. This video is horrible. That is way to many fish for new started tank.
