    I have been using Maprika for about a year now and it does help with following my location to the location/points I have added to the map I created. Thanks for doing the video as it has revealed other tools of Maprika that I have not yet explored.

    Heath,, Newbie question. Where do your "old maps" come from? Did you upload them to your maprika account? Thanks, Chuck

      Chuck, I am sorry that I missed your question. I used various places. Some of your best places are going to be your court house or library. Outside of that davidrumsey.com is a great resource. I hope this helps.

    My hat is off to you sir , I love to study and collect old maps I guess I picked the big up in the army just kinda had a knack for land navigation. This is really cool man. I guess I’m going to have to get into the software maps and put my paper maps away. Really cool thanks for the info. Oh I herd about you from Ed Huffmans channel he said you do a great job on this subject.

    Maybe when the pin on the current map is off a little, maybe the road has slightly changed location through the years. Example; That could put the old homestead under the parking lot instead of the patch of grass? Just a thought?

      Unfortunately, to make your own map is PC only. The company that makes it has said they do not have any plans to release a iOS version any time soon. If you have some amazing maps it may be worth getting a cheap PC. I have friends that purchases some $250 PCs just for this.

      I do not use android. To actually make the map you really should be using the PC. I have to select the map on the iphone also but it is a map that I sent to the server from my PC.

    Wrong, it is easier on the phone,
    second orient your map to what google looks like in same direction

    • @HistorySeekers
      @HistorySeekers  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It may be easier on the phone but the level of accuracy based on the phones GPS and can be harder to get down to the highest zoom. While it will get you very close. The highest levels of accuracy are better achieved on the computer. We have tested it for many years.
