Thanks you so much to explain in an easy way, I am biochemistry students... doing my titration to determine hardness of water for my internal assessment.

Can we use precipitation titrations to measure 18-50 mg per L concentrations of caco3.? Can you pl let me know? Thanks

Hello sir how are you doing .
Sir i just want to know about the calcium and chloride

Hi Muhammad. There are two chloride atoms for every calcium atom in calcium chloride. So 24 calcium atoms means 48 chloride atoms. As for mass, calcium is 40 grams per mole and chloride is 35.5 grams per mole. So for every 40 grams of calcium, there are 2 * 35.5 = 70 grams of chloride. (If I didn’t make any mistakes here!) Hope that helps.

@@Muhammadkhan-oz6wt Well, I hesitate to put my email here on TH-cam, but if you look at my faculty page at Clemson you'll find it there. (Not sure if not listing it here matters, but...)
