The first rock I kept from Lake Superior is a perfect skipping stone. Pulled my arm back three times but just could not let it go. Figured I better keep it in case I get in the world championship of rock skipping. Have it in my pocket right now. That was thirty years ago, and I still go to Lake Superior to look for rocks. Also enjoy Crosby mine pits for fishing and rockhounding. The dam was an opening fishing favorite too. You like the same spots, it will be fun to run into you some time.

Nice work! I always enjoy the videos you put out! Dont ever go to the rock shed in person... Or really any of the rock shops in the black hills... if you're like me you'll buy a little of everything, maybe some larger rocks you intend to smash into smaller more manageable pieces, but you just cant bring yourself to do it, so you keep it as a specimen... and then you'll have to keep going back to get more to fill your barrels... And then you'll see videos from Rob and the cool stuff he gets and tumbles... and your list keeps growing and growing, and then you have to get more grit, ceramics, bigger barrels, and then bigger custom tumblers... I'm going there tomorrow🙃

I am sure you about or Rob has told you about Theo, it would be awesome if you three could get together and make a video in Montana! I was curious how you choose between the rocks you keep or throw back .It has been so cold so we walk to the dam and I find rocks something to do
It usually comes down to "can I do anything with it". If it doesn't seem like a rock that can tumble it usually goes back.
