Thank you for taking the time to create this video! This is by far the best video series I have come across for this process. Extremely informative and has a good flow to it. I can't wait to sit through more of your classes my friend! Thank you again! -Ryan
Oh wow, what a synchronicity. I have been looking into Mr R.C. Christian recently. I'm a cannabis grower and aspiring herbalist. The more I come to learn about the Rose Cross, the more I understand life. I am thankful to have found this video.
woow so nicely laid out… i’m studying for my lab practices in uni and this was super helpful ☺️ much more aesthetically pleasing than other videos i could search 👍 thanks
This video in itself was an art! I've watched it several times. It is by far the most informative and well put together videos I've ever had the pleasure of watching ! WE WANT PART TWO!!😭🙏😭🙏😭🙏
Well done! Thank you so much for your beautiful, all-encompassing overview. What a beautiful conglomeration of thoughts, actions, and historical context. Peace.
It some times scared me when I released your choices of music for your videos,to be all my top favorite composers/ musicians. Especially echoes by pink Floyd solid song and solid album you fearless man! Thank you so much for all your educational videos on science, chemistry, and alchemy, plus so much more.
What a wonderful video! Thank you for sharing your experience, setup, and processes with us! As someone who is new to distillations your efforts are greatly appreciated :-)
Great video sir I've already been doing extracts for the last 10 year. I have been trying to get into distillation for the last 3 years but just didn't know where to start. This is a great video and very informational. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your knowledge with others. This has been a blessing for me as I'm trying to explain my knowledge. God bless you sir.
Dear friend! Great explanation! I am a biochemist and Rosa Cruz member from Brazil. I am from AMORC lodge in São Paulo. Its amazing watch a Ermetic explanation like that!
Thank you! Gosh, I had the entire video part recorded for part two, no small task, and the videos were accidentally deleted when I changed the settings on my iCloud. I was so disappointed that I haven’t gotten around to filming it again. Several people have asked me to upload a part two, and I need to get to it and get it done. Thank you for watching, and leaving a comment, and when I get part two recorded & uploaded I will leave another reply on your comment so you know it’s available. Thank you again! I do need a little reminding sometimes...
I really appreciate you taking the time to show me how to run a short path distillation system. Not many videos going through the ENTIRE process! I've liked and subscribed! I don't suppose you have a great video like this on using a rotary evaporator by chance? I bought a nice used one but not sure exactly how to set it up. Thanks!
this video was so informative & a joy to watch! you are a great teacher. i am really looking forward to seeing a part 2. i understand you may have been discouraged after losing the video, but it is something that would be greatly appreciated if you could make another one. i look forward to seeing more videos from you and absorbing the knowledge that you give. peace be with you.
Thank you so much for delivering to us students such a comprehensive, detailed and intricate Lecture. Nevertheless, Seriously, WHERE IS PART TWO AND THREEE?! 😩😩😩 🤦🏻♂️ Please 🙏🏻🙇🏻♂️
This is the best video I found on TH-cam of fractional distillation in the most informative thanks so much for posting I can't wait for the other videos. It would be great if you could talk about the quality of the crude oil that needs to go into this or the best way to create that crude oil because that's going to have a major impact on the quality of your distillate
Just found your channel recently. Tnx for all your work, you really inspire me ! Can't wait for more videos on all of the subjects you go through. Regards from Croatia :)
Thank you very much! I’m glad you found my channel! Lots of new stuff in the works and lots of content to watch in between new videos! I’ll have some more herbal alchemy videos posted soon!
Hi, you are great and loved this detailed demonstration. My question is have bought this temperature probe with USB separately or its with heating mentle???
The temperature probe came with the heating and stirring mantle. It plugs into the back of the mantle and the readout in the front shows the temperature. I hope that answers the question! I’m glad you liked the video, compliments are always welcome here! 🧪
Thank you! I’m glad you like the video! Most likely the reason for not seeing my video previously has to do with TH-cam recommending videos and channels that have more views and subscribers. I’m a somewhat new content creator with less than a thousand subscribers. I’m hoping to grow my channel in time so that my videos will show up more in people’s searches.
Great content, thank you!! Can i do a simple distillation like in essence oil without using a vaccum pump? I want to start with the very minimum lab equipment. Thanks again!!!
Greetings and thanks for sharing this great video. One question, it is posible you could share the guides? To know the best temperatures, the best vacuum pressure. Thanks a lot
Few Questions: how do you vacuum seal the thermometers? Is cooling the air/vacuum really needed, it seems overkill once there is already a vacuum? Should the cold-ice bath not have a solvent in it, like ethanol?
Depends on what you're distilling tbh The higher bp it is (i.e. above 130 C I'd say) is safer (high bp means low vapor pressure and less vapors floating around), but best to have air flow through the garage at any rate (and always have a fire extinguisher if your distillate is flammable).
This is a great video. It's very detailed in explaining the setup and what the different parts do so thanks for taking the time to make it. Where do I find Part 2 and Part 3? I think I've gone through all of your videos but can't seem to find them. Maybe you can create a playlist/queue for them and also list them on this video's description.
The purpose of the vacuum is to run the distillation at reduced pressure, or under vacuum. The reason for this is that boiling points of liquids are lower under a vacuum. The vacuum allows you to distill a liquid at a lower temperature. Some materials, for example cannabis oil, suffer from degradation when exposed to heat, so, by distilling them at a lower temperature you are doing less damage to the material. A vacuum can also speed along the process. I hope this answers your question! I’d be happy to clarify if this doesn’t fully answer the question. And thank you for watching, I appreciate your compliments!
@@subrosa4792 Thx for the reply!! Ya starting to understand it. So do you have set the vacuum pressure at certain PSI to achieve lower Temp? How do you know what temperature you want? i guess depends on the plant you are working with and would have to research it? are you constantly adjusting the vacuum and keeping an eye on it? I see people use hand pump vacuums as well. Thx for answering questions!
Really enjoyed your videos, pleasant and detailed. I learned more from you in hours than from several professors over years. I have a question concerning the best resource for laboratory glassware; specifically I need an economical source because I have a very constrained budget.
Hi, thanks a lot for the video! Do you know where could I buy all at once? Like a full package or something similar, in order to be sure that every part fits!
what make a short path i don't have that attachment but i have a elbow or splash head to a condenser to a perkins triangle then to a vacuum it is roughly the same distance and principle
Thank you for taking the time to create this video! This is by far the best video series I have come across for this process. Extremely informative and has a good flow to it. I can't wait to sit through more of your classes my friend! Thank you again! -Ryan
