I watched Shohei's performances so much that I literally know every call of every historical moment by heart now.Lucky to be into baseball in his time.
As a Seattle Mariners fan it was a plasure watching Ohtani play in 2024 and setting records. The haters that criticize him for no reason at all except because he's the best player in the game, should be thanking him for bringing in new fans, with Shohei there were a record amount of road attendance and highest ratings during the regular season and playoffs.
Pitching and hitting might as well be two different sports. Imagine Patrick mahomes gets injured playing football so he becomes the best baseball player for a season. Basically what ohtani did, we will never see anything like this again, perhaps in all of sports.
The Goat 🐐 now some say he did it only four years, Sandy Koafax did it four years and is considered the greatest pitcher, Ohtani is the greatest player, the combination of one of the best pitchers, hitters and baserunners, that is the Goat (even Babe Ruth never did that)
Ohtani next season instead of 50-50 I think he will go 50 and 20 (50 HRs and 20 Wins) Shohei won 15 games with a 2.33 ERA couple years ago on an Angels team that were 72-90, there is no doupt Shohei will win 20 games pitching for the Dodgers (As great as 50-50 Is with speed and power, going 50-20 is twice as great and special with power and pitching that decides winning a game)
i dont think he will reach 20 wins next season since they are planning to start him in May. Maybe 12-15 wins and 45 home runs. I predict 43 HR, 13 wins and 19 SB
I love Ohtani even more now seeing that overpaid Juan Soto getting almost $800M the guy is a one tool player with no speed is a terrible baserunner and even worse on defense has no range in the outfield. Even as hitter Ohtani has better offensive numbers then Juan Soto a one dimentional player, and certainly Shohei is a better baserunner with 59 stolen bases caught only 4 times, Soto had 6 stolen bases caught 4 times and the guy is one of the worse defensive players with no range in the outfield.

Ohtani is better then steroid Bonds, Im a Bonds fan as a Pittsburgh Pirates, but most of his numbers after are tainted with roids, but if you see pre steroids Barry was similiar to Ohtani as a hitter with speed and power (but Barry lost his baserunning speed after steriods) and Ohtani is also one of the best pitchers. I take Shohei anytime as a player, but either way Bonds is gonna be in the top 5 and Ohtani when he retires will be the greatest player of all time.
The biggest Home Runs in 2024 was Ohtani's walkoff grandslam to reach 40-40 and Shohei going 6 for 6 with 3 HRs and 10 RBIs to reach 50-50

エンゼルス時代のHRはチームが負けてばかりだったのでHRを打ってもほとんど喜んでいないので、これまで大谷は感情をあまりださないと勘違いされてきたが、今のドジャースで本当の大谷はとても明るい性格なのだと知った。
40号を打ったことは間違いなく実力だけど、9回裏に打席が回る唯一の条件を引き当てるのは実力だけではどうにもならない。
