Did you get 5-24? It was Epic!! Sold out so I couldn't go but the stream worked beautifully. We went to There and back again. It was great to Feel the comings and going of "life in life out" every second of every day. We can carry on with the confidence that we are supposed to move through our 80 years or so and then get back...to our True Selves...row row row your boat...Life Is but a Dream. Thanks Phil...Furthur...
Ray,Scofield struggled a bit but there is no question about his credentials. Then take a look at Medeski on the B-3…he was stellar…kept the ship sailing. Medeski,Martin, and Wood are a great listen, especially when Scofield is sitting in. Have a great day and may the music never stop. Jack
Jax: I'm sure Scofield is talented. But there is someting about his style or approach that doesn't fit in a nautural sort of way. He plays on top of the music and not within. But for a jazz guy it's Ok and I imagine he is doing his very best.
Ray, Speaking of Scofield and Medeski…I have to be honest with you. About a year ago,I caught Medeski,Martin,Wood, and Scofield at a club in Solano Beach, near San Diego. From the beginning and for the next 30 or 40mins…it was a tuning session. No melody,no beginning,no middle,no end,no nada…just pointless noodling. I'm not a musical neophyte but after 45mins,I couldn't find the musical path and left. I later heard more of the show and it was stellar. I guess,45mins of a 2hr show introduced me to a concept called - patience. Have a great day, Jack
Great set! Really amazing ... thanks!

I wasn't home to capture last night's show. I listened to audio of it this morning and it sounded like the best show of this run.
I'm not sure Scofield really get's it. He's thinking too much and not reacting. IMHO
