Note: When performing the differential oil change, remember to remove the filler plug before the drain plug in case it has seized and cannot be undone. This will ensure you will be able to refill the diff with oil after draining. The clip was incorrectly edited in the reverse order as it was our first video.
Tips; -Always remove the filler bolt first -Its worth removing the spare tyre frame for extra room, it's just one extra nut to undo. - the front filler bolt is a ten 10mm allen key. Mine was way over torqued and I had to use a long allen key with a crows foot and breaker bar - An alternative to the squeeze packs is a 12v pump, makes it easier to do the front diff. To the creator, many thanks. Really appreciate the time and effort you put in to make this. You have made my day 😀
This is a good but short video on how to change the differential oil on a ford territory. However, is recommended to remove the filler plug first just in case is too tight and it can't be removed then you won't be able to fill the differential fluid some times those plugs are rusted and hard to remove. Just a small tip for those who might want to do this.
General tip for anybody trying this, take the fill plug off first, it helps drain easier, and also if you cant get it off then you can still get it to a mechanic to sort it out for you.
Hi Ninos, you’ll need a 30mm socket for the rear fill and 15mm spanner for the rear drain plug. For the front you’ll need 8mm and 10mm hex key sockets for the front diff drain and fill. Good luck.
I’m trying to find someone with the same channel name who I met 4x4ing today near Mundaring so I can give them some photos I took - please tell me this is the correct account? :)
Can u get a 30mm spanner on the rear diff instead of a socket? I was going to do mine today but only have sockets to 24mm on me. Is there enough room to get a 30mm spanner in?
You should be able to, remember to try it first before dumping the oil and you should only need to crack the nut (using ring side) then undo by hand, good luck👍

Same oil for the front?
What mm socket for rear fill plug and front fill plug?

Is this valid for diesel Territory as well, thank you.
I had a look at the rear diff on my RWD SZ2 diesel and it's similar, however the fill plug is a 10mm hex bolt.
@@annettehoulahan173 Thank you so much!
Sorry not sure about the front diff for the diesel version without looking at one, but I would think it should be the same
In the list of items required for the job you failed to mention the MDMA, Glow bracelets and a bottle of water!🙉🙉🙉👎👎👎
