    Dave, you have 1) a great idea 2) great craftsmanship 3) a catchy last name for a brand and 4) you work hard.-- I highly suggest you keep making these and start a business. You have a good recipe for success. You won't regret it.

    Hey! I enjoyed your video very much. The Ukulele is looking and sounding great. I'm working on a similar project (with electric guitar strings and pickups) and I'm wondering if I have to use a truss rod for the neck. Seems that you didn't use one and I'm not quite sure I'd be be able to do it well with my tools. What's your opinion on that?

    • @CircuitsAndStrings
      @CircuitsAndStrings  20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I have electric ukuleles that I built 10+ years ago with necks that remain straight as an arrow. The combination of short necks and less strings make for less stress on the neck.

    decades ago I had an electric ukulele; except that instead of a pickup it had a small flashlight duct-taped just left of the leftmost string, the beam shining across all 4 strings into a photocell duct-taped just right of the rightmost string, it output going into a makeshift amplifier. It sounded very distorted.

    Nice Acacia from the Philippines probably leant something to the ukulele which is hollow except for the cavitys for pickup etc.......Nice Sound, just wish it was lefthanded and in my hands Aaron from Australia. Nice Bali t-shirt my cousins are there now

    Looks awesome, sounds nice!
    My first fretboard attempt was no good, the frets were off slightly and the intention had to be readjusted. It's a bummer too because it was Brazilian Rosewood! :( but everything is working wonderfully now!

      Lol I've noticed that filipinos have a lot of pride. I think that's a good thing tho.
