The spacer is to use other manufacturers suppressors. Sig has a taper mount on their suppressors. The spacer provides a shoulder for suppressors made by anyone other than Sig.
Just bought one ! Shoddy QC ! Charging handle comes back and hits me in face ,when bolt locks back ! Also roll pins were missing! Replaced those , but charging handle , still hits me in face on last round !
Yikes! Definitely give sig a call or email, reach out to them with the issues you are having and if they dont leave you satisfied put them on blast for sure. Seems like i got lucky, but i do mention in the video that they have a reputation for quality control issues which to me (at this point) is almost unforgivable. Honestly, i have already sold mine and plan to get a B&T APC9, which i have heard nothing but INCREDIBLE things about, though perhaps in the future ill buy back into a rattler if only for the 300blk stopping power
That's a nice pistol. I was torn between this and the honey badger. I went with the honey badger due to it being so rare, and I just happened to stumble upon one randomly. I'd like to see it and the rattler go head to head
Stopped watching at around 4 minute mark. I ordered a Rattler and trying to find information on my new purchase. Unfortunately in my search I am finding too much misinformation out here! I stopped watching your review when you commented on the “spacer” Sig included to “keep a suppressor from hitting hand guard”. All of Sig Sauer rifles and AR variant pistols in recent years have a tapered barrel. The washer included with Rattler is no different then washer supplied with Sig’s other AR style rifles/carbines/pistols. Using the washer will make Sig’s tapered barrel FLAT on the end (not add space) so you can mount a standard flash hider, lineal comp, muzzle break etc!! Has NOTHING to do with moving suppressor forward to avoid contact with guard!! It’s only purpose is to make the tapered end FLAT.
Lol i can see what that seems ridiculous but if $5 dollar mags work just as well, id rather have 3 for the price of 1. But as i said, i have no problem purchasing lancers im juat a cheap bastard 😁
@@cowboydee1357 its an amazing weapon to say the least and easily my favorite purchase. Once FNH makes a semi-auto SCAR-SC i think itll be an interesting comparison. For now im saving up to buy a B&T APC9, which from what i hear will be an instant classic!
@@izzyb9255 The Scar SC is for military and LEO only, so don't hold your breath on that. Also, you could run over a Lancer mag with a Humvee and no damagae, try that with a USGI steel mag.
It will! And vise versa, the grip the comes with the rattler is compatible with ar15s. The magpul vertical grip is probably the best match for it but play around with different ones. The only real things you cant swap with ar15 parts is the BCG ( due to the intrigal dual spring instead of the buffer tube design) and trigger mechanism ( hammer is smaller than normal)
The 300 blackout specific magazines do make a difference as the prevent the 300 blackout bullets from nose diving in the mag when full preventing failure to feed. Have you noticed it with these?
@@wethepeople420 daaaaaamn man, i would hate to wait that long, hang tough brother! You picked a solid can and IMO the best looking one too, its exactly the supressor i would be getting if i wasnt saving for a B&T. Gotta get yourself a rattler my friend! And honestly, id be trading in my mpx for either the ghm or apc, the B&T series of pistol caliber carbines are above and beyond the qualtiy of anything else on the market. It fits a full mag, the 300 black out is the same shell case of a 556. So a 30 round 556 mag will be able to fit 30 rounds of 300blk. The onle difference (as far as i know) is the spring. Apparently, the 300blk ammo is heavier and ideally would have a stronger spring in the mag to assure proper feed into the chamber. Otherwise it works all the same and tbh i havent heard maby complaints from 300blk users that use 556 mags
Thanks super thorough! Looking at one of these for awhile, will probably buy one next summer when I save up enough cash. I don't understand the two dislikes though.
Which 2 complaints? I remember the conplaint about the pistol grip but thats it. Which, to elaborate, im just not a fan of having any portion of my palm hanging off the end of the grip. I dont have largw hands so i imaginr someone with big mitts having an even larger portion of their palm hanging off but i like the full grip instead of the wierd curved grip here
That's not really a spacer. I guess you could call it that, but it's to remove the taper from the barrel so you'll have a 90 degree shoulder to mount traditional direct thread cans or some muzzle devices that need a 90 degree shoulder.
@@wethepeople420 I just got an mpx, I love it.. How did the binary trigger hold up over time? Did it break like I've heard from others who changed the trigger ?

You don't have to say "Sig Sauer" every single time. You can "Sig" and we'll all know exactly what you're talking about. "Sig" is the only name present on most of their marketing items too.

I assume you have to use this taper mount to add washers to properly time non sig muzzle devices as well?

I thought it was a “rattler” not a raddler ? I’m confused 🤷🏽♂️

556 mags with anti-tilt followers do the same thing. Has nothing to do with if it is 300 AAC or 556 mag. It is the type of follower that matters.
Joshua Rowinski exactly
Hey, What are the dimensions of the box the Rattler came in???
Now all you need is a suppressor and a franklin armory (binary Trigger)
