      @@moosescorner - It's insane! I have been waiting for this Kickstarter for the longest time. I'm one of the game testers, so I know that I will enjoy the game.
      When I saw those prices, I was in shock!

    Thank you for the review, Alex! My grandfather was a violinist so the theme caught my eye. I saw a lot of channels doing previews and play throughs today and am very glad to also find a review available. While I understand the need for all three, and certainly understand the need for sponsored content, I just wanted to drop a note to express how much I truly value your honest and objective feedback. Your transparency makes your content my hands-down favorite.

    24:00 An easy fix would be placing the name of the instrument on the bottom or on the side of the spot instead of on top, so they are not obscured too much, but then again the instrument tokens are tall when placed like they are now.
    This is an instance where a 3D concert hall would be nice, like the Everdell cardboard tree, but actually useful.
    Alternatively, a separate inclined concert hall board with grooves in it to keep the tokens in place could be nice, so everyone at the table could clearly see every part of it regardless of their sitting.

    Appreciate the peak inside, still on the fence on this one. Actually not on the fence, where is the all in button....

    I’ve been looking forward to this game. Love Distlled. I even managed to snag one of the 15 demo copies of this game, so I should have it next month. I can’t wait!

    Although I ❤ the theme of this game, it just seems a bit too heavy for me - with too much going on to keep track of.
    At least there is Philharmonix!

      The mod on TTS is exceptionally well scripted by the way

    23:15 Pew….
    That sounds like a you thing, Alex - your disdain for solo automas… There are plenty of people who feel it is a good mechanism - and mimics a multi-player game, in which other players are taking those spots/actions - and it helps tighten the board. Otherwise, with only 2-players playing, there could be a valid complaint (by many before), that the board is too open.

    I was severely worried about downtime, especially with 4.

    How would you say this compares to Galactic Cruise? That seems in a similar realm but different worker placement mechanisms.

    • @BoardGameCo
      @BoardGameCo  หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a tough one, they have light similarities but ultimately very different experiences. I think this one was easier to learn but galactic Cruise was a little more rewarding

    Appreciate the coverage! I prefer my med/heavy euros to be more multiplayer solitaire. I can skip this one :)

      Why? Is there too much interaction for you in this one?

      @@JJ_TheGreat The blind bidding action selection mechanism, at least as I understood it, does not suit my tastes at all.

    Has a strong Encyclopedia vibe for me. I know you're a massive fan of Encyclopedia like me Alex - just of our interest is there any connection in terms of the folk behind it ?

    • @BoardGameCo
      @BoardGameCo  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you mean the people behind the game, outside of the artist, I don't believe so. As far as vibes, I hear what you're saying to a degree, but I don't know if I got the same feeling

      @BoardGameCo it is the artwork tbh that drew me to thinking about the similarities to be honest so if that's where the link is then that's enough for me. Great review as always
