Fabric pots are the best. No rot, washable. total air everywhere. Air pruning of roots.. it can be helpful to put them in a milk crate or similar object to make it easier to move around and gets air to the bottom of the plant. Thanks Shane
For large scale, it is not worth it. I have scrubbed roots out of hundreds a day, and the huge company i grew for spent many workhours of teams scrubbing... in the end, its better to use recycled plastic pots shaped in a square (not home grow, i am saying large grow companies.. its more labor cost to clean than buying new fabric pot... in home grows, for sure ive used the same ones for ten years from root pouch). I don't understand why light manufacturers do not include timers inside the thing... everyone uses it, it's clearly essential so why even high end most expensive lights are still missing those features. Meanwhile, my toaster can turn itself on every morning at any time... it's crazy :D
there is a couple who do..shane reviewed one a few months back. Also because some people use 24 hours and timers are very low cost if needed. It adds on extra cost to all customers basically, and not everyone uses it for the herb crop which its mostly sold for but not always (rarely) 😅
Because it's a possible failure point. By the way, does your toaster also extract bread from your breadbox? Or does it toast bread that has sat out all night growing stale, after you were forced to manually load toast into it the night before? If the latter, I fail to see the benefit.
we all HAVE timers, we all know where to buy more if we need them, and having 1 less thing to break is a bigger selling point to a lot of us than some built in cheapest timer on earth.
@@flavannoyed3585 Except that not everyone would agree on the nature of that intake (there are multiple options now). And an eight-foot high tent wouldn't fit in everyone's space. There is no ONE best tent, because people's needs differ. This one is usable by many. For others, there are taller (and shorter) tents; also tents that are of greater or smaller area.

U can get a few grows on those pots they do drain but gets absorbed good as well it lets air at the roots better and cooling of the roots along the sides of the pots yes my aray 8 is rocking it
My fifth grow in this tent is currently a female photo period in a 3 gal fabric pot. I have two mars hydro ts1000 in there. I did three White Widow autos in 2 gal fabric pots last time and got a 2 oz off each one. I used to run the fan and filter outside the tent but now I moved it inside because my autos never got too high. Now with a free photo clone going I’m going to have to move the fan filter combo out again. Its super easy to do though.
Fabric pots are the best I run 25 gallon with cover crop and they breath well, air prune roots and drain well on a flush. Must wash well before reuse to avoid bacteria and pest but otherwise they are awsome.
Nearly every uses fab pots in the states. They keep plants from rooting up and self root. U will never get root rot one of main purpose of them they allow air to dry them out all over.
Seems a bit outdated compared to AC infinity tent kits. They already have their inline fan, circulation clip fan, and grow light all programmed on one controller with App control.
I'm using this tent with another light and fan/filter. The additional 4 inches makes a difference, and currently have three 5 gallon pots with one autoflower in each. I probably could fit a fourth pot, but it's nice to have floor space for a small humidifier/dehumidifier, fans, etc. I'm only at week 3 so not scrog level yet, but looks like 3 autos could fill the canopy. Might try two instead of three next time depending on genetics. Ultimately I got this tent to place an Aray 2 in it - ordering soon!. I'll be trying a large 30gal fabric pot with no-till living soil for the next grows, and it fits comfortably in the tent. Seems like a really good quality tent for small grows; zipper is nice and doesn't bind, no light leaks (not that it matters to me with autos). Height could be an issue with photos depending on veg period, but grower can control this.
Funny seeing you finally review marshydro.. they asked me probably five years ago to do review for them, and they at least have good english and feedback from their team in China.. one of their few good led companies, heh. Theyre now clearly copying acinfinity.. its all good usually, so long as the model you get has the samsung diodes and not epistar diodes.
Copying Ac Infinity? There's nothing to copy. Zero engineering here. Instead of give people "options" why don't they actually have a legit air filtration system? Let me guess you got a furnace filter duct taped to the side and the exhaust mounted up top since the tent is 2ft too short and hangs everything from ropes lol. All this grow stuff is pure garbage.
370$.. ok. great starter light. all grow tents are a waste of money, just buy some of the sheet insulation for garage doors (8 feet by 4 feet) and make a space whatever size you need (i like silver tape to hold it together). fabric pots are really good for starters, but air (smart) pots are better, they dont rot or anything (that ive seen) and they do self prune the roots. as mentioned that filter and exhaust is overkill for that space, but do they make low air flow inline exhaust fans? most of the "accessories" come with other parts, yoyos come with the light, straps come with the filter, and im betting the clamps come with the fan. so you would have to pay 7$ for a scrog net. so like any grow kit its a rip off, but any experienced grower knows that, beginners do NOT. i do like the company itself, but ive never been a fan of the whole "package" things. its 10$ for a sheet of insulation and you can put the holes wherever you want.
Hey great video ive just started setting mine up. This might seem like a really stupid question but do you put the carbon filter on the fan end or the other end? Thanks for the vid
I would hope they have a 71" tall version. They have a 5 foot version and a 71" version in the very nice 2 x 4 tent. Does the MIGRO discount code only work for this setup?
My Mars Hydro LED light started flickering due to wires in the main wire harness connector burning. The connector was very hot to the touch. After sending a lot of pictures and info to Mar Hydro (Janice), they stopped communicating. I am afraid to use it because I don't want to burn my house down! Where there customer support and warranty?
With such limited space I'd be putting the filter and the extraction fan outside of the tent. Purely to get the extra hight. Also if you have cooling issues remove the ballast from the light and put that outside also. I had great results with ONE unknown auto cropping well over 10oz of fully cured flower under the original TS-1000
How are your lights selling ? Still wish you could sell me on them but as of now not convinced. Don’t take this wrong but hard to take a product serious if your not growing are showing. Good work anyway 👍
@@MIGROLIGHT so… overpriced and under powered like the numbers show. Shame I was truly hoping these weren’t just a $ making venture. Working with China will do that.
Hi, Over priced and under powered compared to what exactly? Every product sold throughout the world is a money making venture, there are high quality products as well as low quality products that come from China it really depends on how much companies want to spend on manufacturing costs. Thanks.
Yeah IMO - fabric pots rock, but in the larger sizes 20+ gallons and such. The edges dry out very quickly I like to wrap mine with plastic, or suran wrap. Transplanting with them is also a pain in the butt! Use a good watering system with the larger pots and it's the bees knee's
We use a number of Mars products and are quite happy with them. BUT, they seem to have no qualms with shipping goods with physical damage and then making it extremely difficult to have the product replaced. They would rather throw a few free gifts at you to shut up and keep the damaged goods.
What about odour control will that filter and fan be enough. Also would I need to add an intake fan to the kit aswell .Thanks sorry if these are noob questions iv just started my research.
Hi, The fan and filter are fine, no intake fan needed just some ducting at the inlet on the bottom on the tent covered in some dark fabric so there are no light leaks during lights off.
Hey guys i have a question, Im confused on how im supposed to let fresh air in my tent. I have the inline fan and carbon filter set up the most common way, its sucking all the air from in the tent and running it out the ducting tube. I see there a vents at the bottom of the tent, but wont that cause light leaks during dark times if i have those open? Im just so confused rn,

the inline are just as louder as a duka 100ø i hope its cheap i paid around 30/40 bucks for my duka and i live in denmark the land of the crazy taxes and shop prices
Raise your hand if you built your own grow tent so you could raise the plants off the ground, have a filtered light trap and humidifier underneath, a solid exhaust mount that won't fall on your plants, and still be able to access the top of plants known for getting very tall. Oh and because brown or gray looks much better than black with silly branding. ✋
The fabric pots are ok though I prefer plastic. They are significantly cheaper than plastic for large pots and bulk pots for anything larger than a 5 gallon if you get them off amazon(20 20 gal pots for 40 bucks or so). Good for mother plants that you don't want to get root bound. Good if you want your soil to dry quickly to feed more often. Bad for wasting water and leaking some out the side. I mostly buy them because 20 and 50 gallon plastic pots cost like 3-10x more

There are some really cheap LED Lights on amazon that appear pretty much identical to MarsHydro, like NAIMP 2000W Dimmable Plant Led Grow Light Full Spectrum (IR Included), Updated 684pcs SMD LEDs £54 against the TSL2000 at £274. Have you seen these before Shane; would be interesting to see a review or side by side comparison? Thanks for all the great content!
Sounds like a good idea. Get on it Shane.
they are nowhere near identical.. the biggest red flag to me? Sold By XinXinFu Store come on now. by the way you cant trust any charts or other literature on these things any more than you can buy pants from china and expect them to be the right size.
most of those lights are not worth it, and they often lie about the part companies they used... he already covered all those
many of those are too good to be true... also if it is broken and shipped third party, you have a bad time in failing to get it corrected
@@yomofo101 He already does many brands and has content on the best budget ones.. i suggest big time to not buy a random brand off amazon or others... warranty and brand support is very important bro... random copy brands will burn you in the long run, no support.
That is a nice kit would love to have one.
What’s a ac infinity tent kit??
You want to put a 30gallon pot in a 2'4" x 2'4" x 5'4" 150watt tent?
@@Cree_Money Indeed. 3 plants. No till living soil. worms and all.
With this one you wouldn't need humidifier and dehumidifier, as fan is doing it all by itself:)
Thanks,
We have reviewed a few MarsHydro lights in the past
I have this set up works great
Hey great video ive just started setting mine up.
This might seem like a really stupid question but do you put the carbon filter on the fan end or the other end? Thanks for the vid
Air filter then fan then ducting to outside
Nice little setup 🌱Thanks for the video.
I have there 5x5 tent out of my 3 5x5's for sure. The quality is really good although they don't pack away easily at all.
Hi,
Yes we found the quality very good and the upgraded flap around the zipper to minimize light leaks was a nice added addition.
Yea if u got the space put whatever u can outside of the tent
@@GeofryMasters I just put the ballast on top of the tent on a little homemade heatsink.
That kit is very nice 👍
How did you put the light in there? I am not figuring out a good way to fixate it… :/
How are your lights selling ? Still wish you could sell me on them but as of now not convinced. Don’t take this wrong but hard to take a product serious if your not growing are showing. Good work anyway 👍
Hi,
Our lights are selling very well thanks.
You can see many talented growers using our lights on Instagram.
@@MIGROLIGHT so… overpriced and under powered like the numbers show. Shame I was truly hoping these weren’t just a $ making venture. Working with China will do that.
Hi,
Over priced and under powered compared to what exactly?
Every product sold throughout the world is a money making venture, there are high quality products as well as low quality products that come from China it really depends on how much companies want to spend on manufacturing costs.
Thanks.
there fan is to loud. besides that it’s pretty good kit
I am trying to save up to get a 3x3 hydro tent. or grow kit
I've bought this one year ago.. and i receive by growing SCROG ....100g RUNTZ (4 Pots)
Fabric pots are amazing!
What about odour control will that filter and fan be enough. Also would I need to add an intake fan to the kit aswell .Thanks sorry if these are noob questions iv just started my research.
Hi,
The fan and filter are fine, no intake fan needed just some ducting at the inlet on the bottom on the tent covered in some dark fabric so there are no light leaks during lights off.
Swap the timer with a good one, the one is to cheap and does not work well. They refunded mine to buy my own.
Grasslin FTW
Hey guys i have a question, Im confused on how im supposed to let fresh air in my tent. I have the inline fan and carbon filter set up the most common way, its sucking all the air from in the tent and running it out the ducting tube. I see there a vents at the bottom of the tent, but wont that cause light leaks during dark times if i have those open? Im just so confused rn,
Mars hydro make great lights. Suck at customer service. I fought with them for 3 weeks just to get a damn driver for a 16month old light. Ended up with a sunplix g6. Shoulda got your array setup
Hello
I have qb 480w in a 3x3 80x80 and can only use it in 60+cm dim down at 30% of power.
What can I do not burn plant but anyway get The watts in bud?
Hi,
Yes that's a lot for a 3x3, you should be able to run the light around 60% power with no issues.
Thanks.
the inline are just as louder as a duka 100ø i hope its cheap i paid around 30/40 bucks for my duka and i live in denmark the land of the crazy taxes and shop prices
Can you review aglex m320 they are very cheap lights wondering what you think
What migro light do you sell thats close to 400 watt ? Ty sir
Hi, the ARAY 4X4 link here: migrolight.com/collections/all/products/aray-4x4
this set up dont need fans ?
Hi Shane, another great video thanks. Do you have any plans to look at the Lumii Black 720w LED ?
Would be nice to see him test it but I think the par map they give says it all :(
Hi,
They haven't contacted us regarding testing.
Thanks.
Hi, is the tent lightproof?
Yes.
@@MIGROLIGHT Ok, ty :)
Lol
The discount code is not working ?
The fabric pots are ok though I prefer plastic. They are significantly cheaper than plastic for large pots and bulk pots for anything larger than a 5 gallon if you get them off amazon(20 20 gal pots for 40 bucks or so). Good for mother plants that you don't want to get root bound. Good if you want your soil to dry quickly to feed more often. Bad for wasting water and leaking some out the side. I mostly buy them because 20 and 50 gallon plastic pots cost like 3-10x more
im a 6 footer 😁👍🇦🇺
Fabric pots are the best
and what light levels do you get in that tent with that light?
Hi,
We have a video on the TS1000 tested in a 2x2 setup.
th-cam.com/video/kcoLxSpJ39E/w-d-xo.html
Love Mars Hydros Leds products
But with smart plugs from Philips Hue or Wiz or what else who want that Mars Hydro old timmer ? They just be rid of old stock tecnology thats why they offer that
Nothing wrong on that but.....
I say the same from the thermometer
Already good wifi thermometers you can check by app .
Does anyone have some good reference for quiet (silent) air extraction ?
yeah they drain well lol but ive only been using mine for 2 years now and i can tell you they do get moldy after a while other then that they work great for indoors outdoors they dry out too fast lol l
Do you have them on risers, plenty of airflow thru them and sure it's not salt stained ?
Why you using dollars instead of pounds 🤔
He Irish it's euro
Because the majority of viewers are American or Canadian.
i want ask if anybody ordered something from migro yet?! cos few days ago i ordered uvb light 310 for £69 and till now i didnt get any mail or any confirmation ...nothing...just wandering if they do business like that?!
Hi, we will get back to your query by email. The reason you have not seen a confirmation email maybe because the email address entered was wrong or it went to your spam folder.
Cute
WAIT, did you say ten plants in that tent???? WHAT!!!!???
Hi,
It really depends on the size of the pots and what plants you intend to grow.
Thanks.
@@MIGROLIGHT oh ok cool, so anything possible even with a small space, I'm growing 4 auto's in a 2x4 tent and was worried about cramming or space too, thank you
Will four big autos in 3.5 gallon pots fit in this tent also is the fc e4800 a good light
tents are great, Lights are crap. The new FC series is good though.
FCE as well.
Why do you lights are crap? Please explain your thoughts.
@@Pokersmith sorry if i hurt your feelings. But theyre just not up to date anymore, thats why this series is being sold with cashbacks and bonus now. Over the last 2-3 years happened a lot on the market and you can just expect much better efficiency for the same price. Part of it, in this case, is the diodes are not the best, then it loses additional efficiency through the high temp this build creates. Doesnt mean you cant grow with it or keep it if you already have it, but i def. didnt want to purchase it nowadays.
I don't agree..I own Tsw 3000 the tsw 2000 2x tsl 2000 the fc e4800 and fixing to get the fc e3000...I've had nothing but good yeilds from all mine. But the light isn't the determining factor to good yeilds it sure can't be done without it and good environment conditions nutes and so fourth..Take to youtube and look at all the results from Mars lights..Just my take and goes out to anyone looking to grow thier on meds..The lights will produce great meds for the cash..the warranty they offer really makes it a safe bet and again not one issue from any of these lights..My 2 cents..
@@fightdhr5107 ofc it produces grow like any other light. It just consumes 15-20% more power. If you dont need to keep a low power-profile you dont need to care.
I’d love to do my first video with mars hydro help.
10 autoflowers for that tent would be waste of seeds...
I wouldn't do more than four in such a small space TBH
@@kristofsomers2020 4-5 small/medium AF (not XL ones) in a 9L pots is definitely max that makes sense for such a space
Agreed. I have this tent and just finished 4 autos in 3 gallon fabric pots. No way u could fit 10. My next run is 3 in 5 gallon pots.
I believe that part was missed in editing; Shane would know better than to run 10 cannabis plants in that tent, whether autos or photos.
@@cuznclive2236 growing autos indoor is stupid AF to begin with. buying efficient lights only to use an inefficient lighting schedule
That's s great price
10 ? Serious miscalculation
What you’d say how big they are ?
fabric is okay but they are overhyped and a pain in the b to replant in
No freaking way you can grow 10 autos in a 2x2 buddy
