I was told by friends that they are better live before I did reactions. I usually start with a studio track before moving onto live work though, I will definitely tackle it in the future 😊

Which is not atypical ;-) This is the acoustic version of a current Nightwish song, only with a guitar: Nightwish - How's The Heart Acoustic (Planet Rock acoustic session) My favorite song from the current album. Because there is no good version live yet: NIGHTWISH - Shoemaker (Official Lyric Video) The first single from their new album will be released on May 21st.

If you're broadly new to Nightwish, I'd recommend doing at least a few of the Wacken 2013 live performances before considering reverting to your 'studio first' strategy. Why do I say that? Simply that the songs from that particular show seem to have maximum impact for the unprepared reactor - spend too long on a gradual familiarisation with early Nightwish and the real glory decade of Nightwish may seem like less of an epiphany. Keep an eye out for Gabriel in the comments with a tried and tested guide to this phenomenal band. PS - It was impressive to get such a good approximation of the guitar part so quickly.
I will definitely be doing Live performances in the future! I am a little bit familiar with Nightwish through friends listening to their music while I have been around. I will keep an eye for Gabriel, that would be awesome! Thank you for saying so. I think with more time I would be able to get it down 😊

nightwish is best served up live , how about the wacken 2013 show in front of 82k , pick any song of the 15 there all amazing
all the live stuff cant go wrong its the same as you get from lovebites amazing live!!!!😛

This is Nightwish from the era when the guitar still mattered and the singer was Metal Callas instead of today's Plastic Spears.
It is a bit ironic how Nightwish was most metal when they had a classical singer lol
