They were gone for awhile as a group but Lisa and Rosé did solo projects. Jisoo did a Kdrama as lead actress and Jennie did the HBO series Idol.

There is nothing “cutesy” about BP. They do have some songs and videos that are more of their “pink” side but they don’t every really play up the cuteness. I suspect you won’t like Ice Cream much, but they rarely miss the mark with their style. Looking forward to seeing how you like their older stuff.

Jisoo is allergic to cuteness, she gets rashes she says and hates doing the fairy endings or the aegyo (cute look baby talk cute talk that Korean idols are expected to do. I think as a society, Koreans are very serious that's why they love the aegyo like it's a breather).

Btw, the Doberman is Lisa's dog (Lisa the one holding the lease) that's why he looked at her that way when she pulled the lease 😁 His name is Love and is a just a baby, only a year old.
I'll claim that title. My nieces are the only people I'm okay with being cute LOL. I love that Lisa has a doberman named Love. I have a couple of pit bulls, and those breeds that are seen as aggressive can be such babies.

It's sad that people think they are aggressive when the breed had been used for..... I have a pack of 9 myself just 2 beagles and 7 dachshunds 😁 Lisa is really more of a cat person, she has 5: Leo, Luca, Lily, Louis, Lego. She got Love I think for protection but he is such a sweet boy, loves to sleep on Lisa and doesn't realize that he is big and heavy 😂🐶

I wasn’t super thrilled about this song when I first saw the video. But, it has since grown on me a lot! I find myself humming this tune.
It really is super catchy.
For me stray kids and blackpink are the twin boy/girl group for me… they are two power house groups with the same vibe and power

AT THE END OF THE DAY (sun down) EVERYONE IS FOLLOWING THE BLACKPINK PRINT (the entirety of 4th gen girlgroups almost carbon copying their style & formula)
Blackpink is their own genre. Recommendation: Whistle and Bombayah (Their debut already🔥🔥), Playing with Fire and Stay (midtempo/slower but put it a lot of swag and style), DudduDuddu and How You Like That (their beast songs), Kill this love (the murder one), Pretty Savage live on James Corden (the title says it all), Duddududdu Remix - Tokyo arena (make it perfection go harder).. you can do on release order or whatever you prefere.. you will wanna get on all of those no skipping.
For a slower rnb/rap I also recommend "Love To Hate+You'll Never Know" medley from their live The Show.
From the new album you should definitely check Typa Girl and Tally.. and if you wanna get a taste of their purest vocals in a breathtaking ballad... Happiest girl.

It's really good! If you've noticed that every moment harks back to popular scenes in your previous videos. "THIS IS NOT A RETURN AS WE NEVER LEAVE". This is a more than DIRECT answer to clueless haters, as people like to complain about them reusing ish. Smh… I love the music. Born Pink is the big pop album the girls of BLACKPINK were born to make. It's their return after a period of growth, when Rosé, Lisa and Jennie completed their solo debuts (hopefully Jisoo finds her sound soon). But it's faster, brighter and a lot more fun than the previous album “The Album”. the MV is a masterpiece and reminds me of how BLACKPINK gained their reputation and became more popular internationally for all the years since their first debut. They delivered high-impact bangers and fierce rock & roll anthems effortlessly! They are the biggest girl group in the world for a reason. 🖤💗WE BLINKS ARE PROUD OF THESE FOUR ICONICA QUEENS. Blackpink got me into kpop. Stumbled on them one day and hooked since day 1. That being said, when you are done being floored by blackpink would recommend Dreamcatcher. A lesser known group, or rather underappreciated group, but amazing nonetheless. They do kpop with a solid rock twist, godly vocals and visuals and a extremely solid rapper.
Would suggest starting with their Dystopia trilogy in order wich would be
1: Scream
2: Boca
3: Odd Eye

Great reaction. Your kinda like me, and not really into the bubble gum, cutsie, pop stuff that’s meant for school children. Apparently, according to people WAY more into Kpop than I am, blackpink does what’s called a “girl crush” concept (although I’m a firm believer that blackpink has moved beyond Kpop, but that’s a different conversation). There are a whole new generation of “girl crush” girl groups that have attempted to use blackpinks playbook, and basically copy blackpink. In my opinion, they have ALL fallen short. And that’s part of what “shut down” is about. Both Jennie and Lisa’s rap verses were a message to the new generation, saying bunch of wanna bees that wanna be me. And Lisa tells them when blackpink pulls up, the other girl groups can say bye to the paparazzi cause blackpink will get all the attention. But don’t worry, she’ll smile for them. When jisoo says your looking at your answer key, she’s telling the other girl groups to just watch them and learn. You wanna be like us? Then look at what we do and study. Don’t sleep, cause you won’t have time. She says to look at the price tag, it ain’t cheap, meaning it ain’t easy. You gotta put in the work. Rosie tells them to stay in their lane. There are obviously other themes in this song and the video itself, but this is definitely a major theme in this song. Mostly about telling the other wanna be girl crush groups to know their place in the pecking order. Blackpink didn’t go away, and they are still FIRMLY planted on the throne.

I've noticed that all the reactors new to BlackPink now react to the 2022 guide. I'm not crazy over that version. At least the earlier versions show both their serious and fun sides. Maybe if I watch the 2022 version repeatedly, I'd learn to like it.
