Funnily enough, Cuphead's Run N' Gun levels are more easier to dodge than the ones in Metal Slug. Just played MS3, holy crap does the background/foreground get difficult to make out in all of the chaos.
As you are someone who likes both games. And I don't own Cuphead. Isn't Metal Slug harder? I think the boss patterns here are easier to deal against. Plus you don't have to start all over once your out of continues.
It depends. If you play Metal Slug with unimited amount of continiues, then game is much easier than Cuphead because when you die you start where you died. But yeah, without no continiues Metal Slug is harder unless you can beat it without hit.
I think metal slug's AI and patterns are much dumber and very predictable, the enemy spawns are predictable, I find Cuphead much harder, I can beat three levels of metal slug X/2 without dying once, Cuphead legitimately takes me to town Everytime. Perhaps its because Metal Slug was one of the first games I ever played, I couldn't even get past the first bombing helicopter in Metal Slug 1 at first.
I played the shit out of Metal slug 3 as a kid I can get to the 3rd mission before the game start kicking my ass. Metal slug and this game has one thing in Common you find the pattern then it all falls into place but Cuphead is harder. You die in Cuphead you restart the level you die in Metal slug that’s one less life for the whole game and 3 lives can go pretty fast

Are the spawns randomized in Cuphead?
Because maybe the spawns are only predictable to you in Metal Slug, because you've played the game that much.
