Just watched your video and went to the garage for my Honda Shadow. I found it more convenient to remove the battery through the seat)

Battery replacement starts at 1:53.....you're welcome.
I got my new gel battery on Ebay for $56 and it included shipping......not an acid battery and it was easy to install.

I know it’s been awhile since you posted this lol but how’s the battery doing? My regulator rectifier apparently went bad and ruined my battery and caused it to swell up like crazy. I’ve only had my VLX600 for a couple of months and this is my first repair and my first motorcycle battery to buy. Is the gel better or something?

@@johnmarkkillough6242 It worked great.....I've since sold my 600 and bought a low mile Rebel 450. As I get older (I'll be 71 this month) I found
that maneuvering the larger 600 was beginning to be awkward. The 450 maneuvers fine for me because it's smaller and lighter weight. Someday I'll probably finalize my riding with a Rebel 250. I love to ride around and I don't want to give it up for awhile. Life goes on and we have to adjust.... ;-)

My AGM battery lasted 5 years and was still in a great shape when I sold my bike with it. AGM batteries, opposite to the acid ones or gel ones, can be used in pretty much any temperature. They can be discharged to a lower level than the other types and they hold charge longer too. By the way thanks for the video. Just bought similar Honda and I was wondering how to replace stock battery wit he new AGM one.

Im planning on taking my battery out and storing inside the house during the winter, could and should i do that or should i just buy a battery tender and leave it in the bike. Because ive been told that even if i take the battery out im still gunna to have it on a tender even if its inside and warm. And thanks for the video im gunna see if i can get mine out with basically no tools 😅😅😅 sincerely broke man in montana

Are these batteries you can get at places like Oreileys? Or are there other places you’d recommend?
