I can say that what Kate did in Ammonite was totally brilliant. Mary Anning's personality type is 100% related to me. Her decisions, her thoughts, her expressions... it's me. I know I'm kind of super strange person, and I never thought there would be any movie that the protagonist wouldn't show any feelings, but here it is. Kate did the great job. I'm so grateful that she tried to understand who Mary was and what she felt inside. Thank you Francis Lee and the crew for making this.
Another great interview with Kate Winset! Open, interesting and intelligent conversation. She is relentlessly promoting Ammonite...one can feel she is really close to this project. She is such a brilliant actress with great depth. Yes, try and play Hanna Schmitz (The Reader)...that was just quite, quite incredible. Earned her a well deserved Oscar! Any this year????🌷🌷
Kate Winslet is one of my favorite actors. She has the ability to express a lot of things only with her eyes. The character Mary in Ammonite was made for her. She played her so well! Fascinating. :)

Ammonite is an absolutely wonderful movie, a masterpiece I've realised this one thing about kate that, she's so full of subtle emotions, that she falls short of words to express them at times...if you notice her replies to some questions like.." did you feel like oh i can do this" to which she replied " not only I can do this but humans can do this" Such emotional traits in her makes can evergreen beauty inside out ❤❤
I watched this lovely movie twice already. it was almost like watching a silent movie in a way and interesting to watch them emote without words by looks and touch.
Who for even a moment would think how hard it was for Kate to actually suppress all actions of joy, happiness, etc. She was astounding, staid to jealousy to finally that smile, then that love. Great director! Mary felt REAL, because of Kate's astounding effort to hone her craft. I love the 'quiet' and story of Mary & Charotte. This was acting!

Kate Winslow seems like a very hard working down to earth and true to herself person. However I have not heard one interview longer than 2 minutes that she hasn't said the F-word and is very foul mouthed. It just doesn't seem to match what she portrays as an intelligent well-rounded woman. And after listening in one interview her third f-bomb, as well as other vulgarity I lost a bit of respect for her as a person. It seems to just flow out of her so easily. ( Sorry for her kids to think that it is a proper way of speaking) She always says she is a strong woman and she plays parts of strong women yet She seems to think she needs to use vulgarity to fit in that category. For such a strong woman she still hasn't figured out life for herself yet, 3 marriages 3 kids with different daddies. For years I looked up to her untill recently I've seen these interview videos and how many times they mentioned every movie had such amount of strong nudity. I realized now she's just another actress.
It's a shame that she didn't get the nomination for Ammonite. She was brill in it
