  • Great cheap little mixer for home recording or live band playing. Also great for pluging in an iPod.
    If you have any questions let me know in the comments.

    Thank you so much! Been digging around YT to search for reviews on this particular mixer, glad I saw yours. Definitely convinced now that it has what I need :D

    In the left (mono) channel, which are the top ones. But I suggest using channel 1 because it has phantom power on it and gain, which will make the mic more easily heard, and plug other instruments into the other channels.

    @HarmonicaMustang  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sure you can, you just need an adapter for a mini jack if you're using a normal set of headphones, if you're using studio headphones if a jack input, you don't need anything. Word of advice: hook up the mic to channel 1, and your guitar to channel 2, as you'll need gain for the mic. Hope that was helpful.

    Sure. I'll try to get it done in the early afternoon (GMD London). Thanks for subscribing. Do you have any song requests for me to remix?

    Thank you for subscribing to me first of all :)
    I'll need a few more details first for a detailed answer, if you wouldn't mind :)
    Please answer the following:
    -Do you use an audio interface? (if yes, please name the company that made it and the model)
    -What microphone are you using?
    -Do you output directly to external speakers or to a recording device e.g. a computer?
    Thank you.

    If you mean a dynamic microphone:
    3 microphones
    With 1 great input for channel 1 as it includes a gain knob which gives the signal an extra kick, and the other 2 channels (2 & 4) include only a level knob, which may not give enough kick.
    Other, such as Condenser (with an XLR input):
    1
    As there's only 1 XLR input with Phantom power.
    Does that answer yor question?

    Hello Arabic Literature لأدب العربي
    The answer to your question is yes, this mixer has Phatom power and will be able to power your MXL 990 mic.
    As a recommandiation, I would also recommend the Behringer Xenyx 802 as it also has Phantom power and more inputs, though be aware of the Xenyx 502, as it looks just like the one I review here but it DOESN'T have Phantom power.
    Hope this helped. If you have any other questions let me know, always happy to help ;)

    Oh ok its becuse we have a mic cable with a female xlr input but a 1/4 inch plug and on my band we pluged the mics to a guitar amp thats why we want the mixer but since it only has on xlr input i was wondering if i could plug mics to line two with that cable

    Good demo, DJ MuzeMaster! Thanks for posting.
    I'm thinking about purchasing one of these and I have a question: does this unit get hot? I tried the Behringer XENYX502 5-Channel unit but there was 2 discrepancies it had that I didn't like. One was there was no on/off switch (!) and the other was that it became rather heated to the touch. I understand any device like this will warm up but to get warm is one thing; the Behringer unit to me felt WAY beyond warm....like an electric blanket turned on high! How does the Alto compare?

    • @HarmonicaMustang
      @HarmonicaMustang  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, thanks for the feed back :) This mixer gets warm, but not hot. Today, I had to use it's Phantom Power because the Phantom Power on the mixing desk I normally use is broken. This mixer get's the hottest when using Phantom Power. After using it non-stop for 3 hours, it has only become warm, and the controls and cables attached to it remained cool to the touch.
      So from your comment, compared to the Behringer this mixer is beyond good. Hope this helped :)

      Also, have you got any songs you would like to have remixed? I'm kind of out of ideas at the moment :)

    DJ MuzeMaster, thank you for the informative review. I got one question.
    I am buying a MXL 990 Condenser Microphone that requires a 48v (+- 4v) Phantom Power Supply , so Is this mixer going to do this job? If not, what would you recommend?
    Thanks in advance

  • @HarmonicaMustang

    You mean in channel 1?

  • @HeavyMetalBluegrass
    @HeavyMetalBluegrass 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Say Mr Shuffle. I recently bought a Behringer mx400 line mixer which I discovered only outputs to one channel (head phone spkr) so I'm pretty disappointed with my purchase. I want something that I can play my computer output and also plug in my bass guitar and hear through both head phone speakers. Will this do the job for me?

    • @HarmonicaMustang
      @HarmonicaMustang  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can. There's an RCA input/output that you can route to only main out or headphones or both. This one is best for computer output. You can plug your bass into channel 1 for EQ control and you can balance it against the computer input. For output, you have a choice of a separate left and right 6.3mm TS main output and a 6.3mm TRS headphones output. This mixer should do you nicely for your needs and any future additions.

  • @MrFallingturd
    @MrFallingturd 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Cant help notice your only going out of one output (left) Is it just mono sound out if you plug them into both?

    • @HarmonicaMustang
      @HarmonicaMustang  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The main output is a dual mono. I was sending the signal to a guitar amplifier so there was no need for more cables. The headphone output however is a stereo 6.3mm TRS jack.

    Hey mate, can u simply record guitar with it? i mean can u plug this to amp, and to pc at the same time?

    • @HarmonicaMustang
      @HarmonicaMustang  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      It doesn't have a USB port, so you won't be able to directly plug it into the computer, but what you could do is plug the main out into an audio interface which will give you a stereo recording, and plug your amp into the headphone output to give you a mono monitor.

    I have a PA speaker with no volume nobs or power button or anything. Could I hook one of these up to it and it work? Like a mic or a guitar imput?

    • @HarmonicaMustang
      @HarmonicaMustang  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jesse Kembroe What you have is a passive speaker. It doesn't have a built in amplifier and therefore it requires one to operate properly. This mixing desk can be used as an amplifier for passive speakers although it won't provide much of a kick, if you know what I mean.

    has it reverb or fx for singing?

    • @HarmonicaMustang
      @HarmonicaMustang  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately no. The only effect it has is EQ on the first channel. It doesn't have an insert either so unless you patch a separate effect unit through the inputs, there's not much you can do.
