WOW that was the best episode of replay I've seen in a while! Banjo Kazooie is such a fantastic game, and the stress test was hilarious! When the cat got the power mushroom and fell through the floor I was on the ground laughing XD Stress test is shaping up to be one of the best segments yet, I'm really looking forward to the next one.
I've been wanting a Donkey Kong 64 Replay for a long time. It is my favorite game of all time and also the first video game I played in my life as a child.
Banjo Kazooie is superior to Mario 64 in every way. It's not even close. Mario 64 had a bit more "wow" factor when it came out, but BK surpassed it in every way.
i like how their main arguement is the tutorial, but obviously dan wasn't paying attention to the text because if you press b instead of a in the beggining you can skip it
I am biased towards Super Mario 64 because it was THE game of my childhood. That being said, Banjo is a great game as well. In the video, one of the guys mentioned they gave Super Mario 64 a 9.5 out of 10, and Banjo a 9.25 out of 10. I think those numbers say it all. Here is a food analogy - Mario and Banjo are like french fries and waffle fries. They are essentially the same, only with slightly differing forms, and everyone loves them regardless.
The big thing about mario 64 is that it was one of the first 3D platformers, and heck, if it wasn't a mario game would it even be as well liked as it was? I acknowledge the historical significance of mario 64 and i've even played it to 100% completion, but I have to say of quality 3D platformers of the era, both on 64 and play station, it's pretty low on the list of being a good game. Other games (such as banjo-kazooie) not just improved on the control scheme but had better worlds and aesthetics
This is the first game I've ever played and the second best game ever, only eclipsed by Banjo-Tooie. It's so memorable with the characters, voices, dialogue, jokes, levels, collectables, and mechanics.
i pickd this game up af 15 odd years and i still rememberd the controls unlike mario 64 where i still cant do a triple jump prperly i cant even get past the basemen lvls cause its not as enjoyable as banjo kazooie
The way yall crapped on Mario you actually made me hate this game... I loved it yesterday and yall thinking it is better than Mario 64 made me hate it. WTF, how the f*** did yall do that?
In case anyone was wondering, the music in Cat Mario Impossible is the overworld theme from Cheetahmen 2. I remember AVGN reviewed it a few years ago.

All the rare games from back in the day were amazing.
This and Donkey kong 64 were the stuff.
The 2nd game game needs a super-replay, period.
I've been wanting a Donkey Kong 64 Replay for a long time. It is my favorite game of all time and also the first video game I played in my life as a child.
Hooray for Stress Test - reminds me of that cat on the Gamestop commercials!
Actually that's Buck the Bunny for Gamestop. We voted for him to be our mascot at a manager's conference about 6 years ago.
I could not stop laughing my ass off at the cat part.
Oh wow, I remember Banjo-Kazooie. And I remember absolutely loving it
The stress test was HILARIOUS
Music from level 2 is some sort of remix of music from the NES game Spelunker.
More cat mario ^_^ please!
your reactions are so hilarious!!!
Banjo Kazooie is superior to Mario 64 in every way. It's not even close. Mario 64 had a bit more "wow" factor when it came out, but BK surpassed it in every way.
In the top five best platformers ever in my book
i like how their main arguement is the tutorial, but obviously dan wasn't paying attention to the text because if you press b instead of a in the beggining you can skip it
Thanks for the replay, GI. Banjo Kazooie is one of my favorite games ever. Maybe you guys could do a super replay sometime :)
this is a very late response but I'm now rewatching this and the music in the first level of cat mario is the cheetahmen music from action 52 on NES
From what I can hear I think the music on that second game is the music from Cheetahmen.

I liked the Banjo vs Mario part, but holy shit! The Cat Mario game was hilarious! Are there more videos of you guys playing that? I'd love to see it.
omg stress test. Best thing I've seen in my life.
Banjo-Kazooie master race.
38:00 "YES, YES!!!...wait ... *confused controller inputs* LRLRRRLL
Hilariously awesome stress test
Banjo Kazooie>Super Mario 64
Donkey Kong 64
I think they're evenly good
Dan Ryckert. Greatest troll of Gameinformer!
Such a great game.
Pole Attaaaaaack!
with absolutely no words too lol
defo do super replay of catmarioimpossible, made me laugh so hard
Banjo Kazooie, where the hills literally have eyes
Sounds like the Cheetahmen theme song, how appropriate.
Ever since Game Grumps I seen alot of playthroughs of BK. Also I can't choose which is better SM64 or BK.
I just want to point out that the music in Cat Mario is from Cheetahmen.
I think that the first spyro game was better than banjo. Another underrated platformer that I loved was Croc: Legend of the Gobbos.
when are they gonna make a new banjo game???

40:38 man I'm on edge... SPIKES. lol
Lol i also played this at a mcdonalds lol its the ones tht have the play area lol they had this game there and it was so much fun
His papa looks like Perobear
IWBTG Stress test with someone who has not played it will be so damn funny
Holy crap dongs.exe as the stress test.
Better than Mario 64, but BK had a lot more previous experience to build on.
Banjo Kazooie over Conker but had both. Conker is sluggish. It's the Pacing. Conker is best for the multiplayer and Comedy. :)

You could have skipped the tutorial, which would have negated a majority of these rants.
I want a super replay of the cat Mario game

DAN'S COMPLETELY BIASED AGAINST THIS GAME!
Also, I'm fairly certain Dan is just trolling through most of this replay
Rare is dead.
Banjo Kazooie > Mario
I would love to see a Super Ghouls and Ghosts replay.
#2!
Banjo Kazooie IS better than Super Mario 64, it's a fact. Technically better controls, camera and level design.
I hate how microsoft treated Rare. All of their great talent wrnt to retro studios. Rare is now on life support now with microsoft.
Banjo-Kazooie is far superior to Mario 64 in terms of game mechanics and design.
SHUT UP DAN, YOUR POINTS ARE INVALID!
syobon action! that reminds me of this browser java based hard-as-hell mario game - tinyurl / 2bfl75
Cheetahmen theme for Mariocat game. So sad
That's a lot of comments, and I gotta ask...u mad bro?
You could skip the tutorial >:(
I meant Catmario, but its still a sad excuse for a game
You have problems
It rips off Mario 64 in only one way and that's the fact it's a platformers
conkers bad fur day definetly is better
Nuts & Bolts better than this?! LOLOLOLOL
Mario has aged better? Lmao
Can't speak for Banjo-Kazooie, but I'd put plenty of PS1 platformers over Mario 64.
The way yall crapped on Mario you actually made me hate this game... I loved it yesterday and yall thinking it is better than Mario 64 made me hate it. WTF, how the f*** did yall do that?
its better Banjo-kazooie
Super Mario 64 is better hands down, I like Banjo but hate Rare since it left Nintendo. Nuts and Bolts SUCKED.
64 is way better than this game.
