The same people moaning about the 2% increase (which is £1 per game) will quite happily go and have 5 pints before the game 🙄
How long since last price increase on tickets? With the club being so big, famous they get a lot of sponsorship. Surely if the fans want success, decent players brought in then if ticket price increases go on transfers why not?
Go to 6:25 into the video look at the truck on the road, there is loads of room for another car on there, there's a car just off the road beside the truck for comparison. There is 3 giveway areas, two are at the start on each side and one at the main entrance to the hospitality area.
As for the 2% rise, come on be fair. There's been a freeze on tickets for 7 years, so 2% over another 2 years is more than fair considering the rise in everything else for the clubs outgoings. Ridiculous from that supporters group banning flags for 2% shocking behaviour.
Given that the season ticket price increase is only 2% (and less than most other clubs), I don't understand what all the fuss is about. Very few people would have had a less than 2% pay rise, so the increased price would be a lower percentage of take-home pay.
They were already expensive. Making something that was already too expensive, more expensive. Is a problem
@j.s3300 I am more bothered by what lfc charge in the shop. Kit prices at £75 for a first team shirt is ridiculous but people, me included, just pay it.
@@wfe1947 its all the same. Its all far too expensive and you have to speak out on it. Billionaires take advantage of regular people and hope that regular people will just fight each other
Do not forget that despite record levels of TV money coming into the game, football seemingly continues to be hell bent on squeezing every last drop out of match going fans.
For the period Feb22 to Jan23, the Prem league clubs alone paid approaching a third of a billion pounds to football agents, Guardiola was reportedly wearing a watch to his Champions League game worth a cool million and football fans are paying upwards of £80 for a football shirt.
Also, with the ever increasing number of "hospitality tickets" selling at around £400 per person for what is essentially a ticket, a burger and a pint, with a "free" programme, enough is enough.
So, don't fall into the trap of thinking it's acceptable to put ticket prices up again just because it seems low compared to the level of inflation; it's much more nuanced than that.
To say the price rise is disgusting, is crazy. ... We have had price freezes and now 2%... Inflation and cost in general to run a football club are ridiculous and I think we are lucky it's only 2%. Before people say the club can afford not too, we just announced a loss!... I wonder how many of the people complaining about rises will also scream to sign loads of new players in the summer.
I totally agree with you mate, prices should not go up anytime. During covid when the stadium was shut, LFC still operated without any financial worries. So, it's obvious to me they don't even need money from fans to operate.
It's ridiculous to basically try and stop any increase ever!!! Most clubs have increased in double digits.... We're talking 2% over two seasons!!! That's the fan clubs pandering to what they think us fans want... Yet they will be the first to moan at FSG if we don't buy the players on the wages they want!!!
100 percent agree. Some of our fans live in fantasy world. They want quality players bought in for 50m 60m 70m and where do they think the money is coming from for these players and wages. If you want quality players then you have to pay for product. £1 per game increase is not a lot. Fsg get alot of hate but prices have been frozen for years
A 2% rise for season tickets is nothing compared to what the London clubs pay and don't win anything while we win cups and to maintain winning cups takes investment. If you want to see the best players you have to pay the wages so 2% is a little sacrifice to pay for success.YNWA
Surprised with cost of living in London they hasn't been more of an uproar about it 👍 YnWa
HI GB, great vlog. With many discussion points, Thursdays game the whole team had an off night, imo think we'll turn it round over in Italy, ticket prices its £25-£35 for a ticket to go & watch Celtic up here in Scotland & £20 to £50 for watching an international match depending on opposition.
Trains, closest merseyrail station at kirkdale is a 35 min walk to Anfield so thats one station. Dont know if they'd be able to integrate old freight line to merseyrail network, if they could build a station, at the bottom of Stanley Park Avenue were it meets old freight line. That would given two stations with in 30-40 min walk of Anfeild, but what would it cost.
Trams, not a good idea disruption & cost would be 10s of million, would have folk up in arns. Edinburghs took 6+ yrs & estimated cost £775m”
Trackless Trams(Gliders) cheapest option probably road
would need to be relatively straight with no sharp turns for it to work successfully
My wee Sister found our dad's stone & she also found the one I got for her(there was a lot of tears in our post match video chat)
C'MON THE REDMEN YNWA
This is one of the issues of staying at Anfield, so therefore it is something that the club and Liverpool Council will have to cough up the money the matter of fact there is enough cars on the road as it is so if it was the Tralis tram wouldn't that mean a new road? Personally, I think as much as I love Anfield and I'm a true red I believe it was a mistake staying at Anfield and not building a brand-new stadium right beside it with the investment into the train station off the old railway. Everton made the best decision in building a stadium that is close to the transportation plus the design seeds what Liverpool Liverpool have done with Anfield personally not a fan of the new stand for a cosmetic look inside I think they are effective but could've been a lot more cleaner in apprentice from the outside
Maybe Joe Fagan and Gerard Houllier are having benches by the forever stones? Im not sure if theyve already got benches have they?!
I've seen the stones and there going to be flat also
The council should have given the club more land behind the new stand so they could build a proper road.
Yeah it deffo should of been wider
Is the road going to be service road for delivery and Police and medical service on Match Days and is that how there got round the rule in the planning of the for the Anfield Road extension new stand
Match days it will always be closed for traffic but opened just for fans and when all work fully completed it has to be used as a real road but I guess we see what happens
Great one mate ....as always
Thanks for the update Wayne, absolutely gutted about last night result 🤬😡🤯😤, but WE ARE LIVERPOOL 🔴must get behind the TEAM, roll on for victory against Crystal Palace .Lets beat Atalanta 4-0. UP THE REDS 🔴 YNWA Sparky 🍻🍻
Your welcome mate, still possible for a comeback over in Italy but it will be mammoth if we can pull it off - YnWa
If the club wants to keep up, then they have no option except to build expand further, 60k will not be enough in the next 10 years, 1 row of housing skd then build over the welbreak Rd, if we really want to keep up then there is no doubt, I think its possible to add another 7-10 k more seats. The kenny is to steep but its possible to lower then build further, its the cost to match revenue that will hold it up, I'm sure we own most of the houses behind skd, but rehousing maybe in the square will take 20 years from now. Gutted but up the REDS
Any chance of Saturday home games next season ?
why has the work seemed to have stopped when thier is still some jobs to be finished ?
I thought the out side small jobs at least would of been completed
The work obviously hasn't stopped. Just look at all the worker's cars in the car park.
I agree with you why has work stopped all ot a sudden there is still a lot of work to do outside
Has there been any builders there at all this I noticed there is tile missing where the sign was supposed to go why has not not been any movement it amazes me that it's taken 3 years to build 1 tier on the anfield road end and how long is taken them to build Bramley moore stadium what are these builders being paid for for do absolute nothing where is tile gone I think these builders have been poor I think it's time for the owners to put down and tell them to get on with the completion please make sure the builders get this reply I think these builders have been poor
The gliders in Belfast here have been so so. They had to change a lot of roads just to fit the gliders, and in a lot of cases, they changed the roads for the worst. And yeah, there is a trust element that folks will buy a ticket before boarding as there isn't always a conductor, so as you say, a lot of antisocial behaviour.
Im sure i heard that the naming rights were changing on the Anfield Road. Whether that has something to do with it or not. Great vids Grey Beard keep em coming 👍
Thank You So Much, will deffo keep an eye on that area if naming rights are changed and if something happens 👍
The road will be 2 way, but calming measures outside the main entrance. Probably a 5-10pm h road too.
After Sunday Liverpool don’t play at Anfield for 3 weeks, so I’m predicting a lot of work will be done in the next 3 weeks.
The seating, there is only 2 more home games after Sunday (possible 3 but unlikely) so I can see the seats going in but not used till next season.
Will be interesting to see the road in use once finally open deffo 👍
