- Rain Rain Go Away! After all the cleaning I just did to get the bike prepared so I could formally introduce the Silverwing Scooter to you all, mother nature decides to rain on my parade but that's ok! It was a spring shower is all. I took a short ride to one of my favorite locations to record this short video. I did a walk around to point out something I love about the Silverwing, trust me it is a great scooter. I got a few freebies thrown into the deal when I purchased the Silverwing. The previous owner gave me 3 helmets and a pair of Alpinestar leather gloves, the bike also came with a Givi V46 top case.

Allo de Montreal, Quebec, Ca. 100,000km Wow that is a lot of kilometres. Tell me have you had any major mechanical problems, What is you opinion on seat-comfort?
There were not many mechanical problems, only the alternator ( i hope, it is the right word in english) was broken, some months ago.
For me an my wife, the comfort of the seat is ok.
I know what you mean with the slow speed backing in, just went from a Piaggio 500 to this, and the Piaggio is easier to maneuver at slow speeds. Going forward however the SW wins every time.

I have the same color Silverwing, to get rid a of a rattle, the Left front storage box has a rubber seal, that seal keeps the left storage box cover from rattling, BUT! Honda did Not put a rubber seal on the right storage box. But the one for the left storage box will fit the right storage box they are about $5.00 for that seal, that stops a big rattle from that right storage box. I have two Silverwing 600's a 2005' Titanium color and a 2006' ABS Blue Like yours, I also have a 2005' Suzi Burgman 650, I like the Honda Silverwings Much better.

You will get use to the weight. I can handle my burgman like a zuma. Take good care of it and she will last.
Noel, I have to get used to the throttle opening position point so I can use it to help shift the weight around. Hopefully I too will be able to manhandle this bike like the Zuma too.

On this one, the shaky, unsteady camera work, and the halting, repetitive, distracted narration made me dizzy & irritated (you should have dried the bike, gathered & organized your thoughts, and THEN filmed!). The Engine has Power on the go but the rear brake is poor stopping power. The front braking is softer and has a better effect of stopping the bike from high speed than the rear brake. I own a 2005 Silverwing 600cc and i wanna sell it now. I need a 2016 Burgman Executive 650 which have Twin Blades at the front and a single blade at the rear. Twin blades means two Disc.

Silverwings are 600cc, not 125.
Looking at a 2005 with a MotorTrike kit . Its the actual trike kit on a four wheeler,for $5500 is it worth it? Never owned a scooter had a 750 about 20 years ago.
Honest, I have never inquired about those kits. I'm clueless about what is a "fair price" for a trike kit!

Denis Rousseau good question regarding dealer parts support. I believe they will continue to support the silverwing. The internet is also a great place to find parts. What do you drive?
Maxi Scooter Guy i plan to buy a maxi scooter soon my msf course taken and pass next spring, and maybe buy a burgman650 but the silverwing is talking to me, lighter and simpler maintenance than the burg, i did a 3500 km last summer on a 50cc PGO scooter and finding it so practical in city driving. The scooter will be my new way to go around an touring too ! You have a very interesting channel keep your work on ! Take care !
Denis, that's a hard choice to make! I would seriously consider the Burgman 650 Executive. Beside the transmission issues, that when monitored closely, is a great bike. I chose the Silverwing because of the limited availability of Burgman Exec. The Burgman trans issue comes down to 1 bolt. Advice: 250cc and larger is ideal for mixed riding. Choose wisely. I am thinking of buying a used scooter like this in Ontario...what is the process for making the transfer of ownership and getting a plate. The current owner says no certification required which sounds strange. Also, does this have the same licensing requirements M1, M2, M? Thanks.

You think of all the years Honda has been making the Silverwing you would get better gas mileage than 38 Mi to the gallon especially when you can get a 650 Suzuki Burgman which blows away the Silverwing and gets better gas mileage
I have also drove a 400 Suzuki Burgman and that was a much better machine than the Silverwing after all those years pretty disappointing if that's all it Honda can come up with no improvements and the gas mileage absolutely sucks on them

I got her for a reasonable price. I think it was a fair deal.

what the hell are you talking about dude seriously can't handle a scooter at slow speeds you shouldn't be riding have a 650 Burgman I can come to a complete stop and take off again without putting my feet down handles 100 times better than my VTX 1300 Cruiser and twice as smooth on the highway

Top Speed is 107 MPH. Gas Mileage on average: 45 MPG.
for me after 10 k its to heavy to big to soft suspension ,to close suport behind ass beside this its great scoter i give it 8/10 .Now on market i think ak 550 be best for me lighter stifer better weight distribution ,with more space behind wheel.this scoter is for smaller person which want tourist scooter and dont care so much on "sport" characteristic,beside stock setup you can change suspension,sofa shape ,still weightdistribution ,overall weight is bad for "sport "mode riding,it also in 600 version have to high rpm at higher speed in 400 this trouble dont egzist due to to small power 50 vs 40hp and peak power rpm is on 8k level in 600 on 7,5k ... so best option be electric engine stering cvt like in burgman650 .
True, they do rev high in rpm and you have to keep an eye on the fuel level, I've had a fair close calls.
I would like to spend a day or two on a Burgman 650 so I could compare the two.
well burgman have electric cvt but dont know if have low rpm mode for highway this mode is key,in me sw600 now im put inside each roller 5,6 grams steel what should decrease rpm be 20% .
ok after increase weight rollers there is no change in rpm =surprise ,because in kymco this work strange .
I took my box off,I hate those things,it makes em look like a station wagon.
