It also feels like lavos has a 5th ability with it, on release it was like the only weapon capable of just randomly applying random statuses that you could not have in your build whatsoever

Cedo is my most used primary, I've used it so much that I feel lacking if I dont have it equipped.
All the best frames feel even better with the Cedo!

Play it with mirage 1 ability and you insta clear rooms with the secondary fire it’s crazy

Yes, this is a good mention. Having two other cedos shoot along side you is crazy with the alt fire

I've been maining Cedo ever since I got it from the Orphix launch / Lavos launch event. It's definitely not the best weapon for trying to do level cap, but it primes itself and comes with a competitive own condition gunverload. It's a shame to see everyone writes it off as a mesa-exclusive weapon since the gimmick was discovered that the alt fire scales insanely off mesa's 1. Everyone should give the weapon a spin. Run a fire rate mod, or play it on harrow. It has a really high base crit modifier.
There's a few things holding the weapon back: Low fire rate, slow reload, low riven dispo.
But other than that, it's very satisfying to use and packs a serious punch if you work around the things that holds it back.
It also works quite well with Nezha, since each status gets shared by impaled enemies. Also heat inherited, it does really well.

the cedo is the gun to got me to star chart, i stil like to use it but is just doest do as much dmg as the other 'end game" guns sadly

Yeah, unfortunately it can't get all the way up there in terms of damage as other weapons. The only way it could somewhat handle endgame, and I mean somewhat, is having a ton of buffs on it from frames with a crazy build.
