Fun fact about corkless wines... they're not necessarily "cheap" it's just a more convenient way to pack young wines and have a lower impact on cork trees. (which are almost extinct) Since they're not aged nor do they need an aging process... there is no requirement for it to "breathe" through the cork. It's more often seen in Australian wines.
If people actually grew cork orchards this would be less of a issue for wine makers a small cork orchard would go far as they can at the very least cork their premium wines in native corks. Another benefit would be the ability to study the cork tree more and possibly come with an alternative fast growing verity for cork production. the side affect of this is preservation of wild cork trees as the orchards grow to be a more stable supply.
So..the cork trees growing extinct is a myth. They are grown throughout Spain and Portugal and the bark(the cork) is stripped every 9 or so years. The Portuguese Government declared them endangered in 1923 so people wouldn’t harvest the trees out of season for land to build stuff on. But between Spain and Portugal combined, there is enough cork to last at least 100 years if we were to harvest and then remove every single tree right now. Cork is more expensive than plastic and metal since it requires a specialist to remove it from the tree. But the rest of your point still stands.
My husband and I go to wineries up in northern Michigan and if I can remember correctly, one of the people we spoke to told us that corks are kinda being phased out. Kinda for preservation of the cork trees, but also because the cork isn't really necessary? They told us we'd be seeing a lot more twist caps in the near future
If you ever ask "Is cooking this worth the time?" The answer is always YES. I spent 6 hours making apple fritters from scratch 10 months ago and I still dream about them.
the most time I've spent cooking is 6 hours , when I have to slow cook a batch of pork belly in miso and spices mix. It needs a very low heat, occasionally stirred every 5-10 minutes, removing scums, and adding more pork stock (from the bones, on separate container) if it's too dry. it's super delicious, the meat just melt in your mouth, and you can eat it as is, with bread, or with rice.
the only complaint is that Yor's beef stew is supposed to have sour cream mixed in it, the sour cream was what triggered the Briar sibling's childhood memories of their mother's beef stew. otherwise the video made me hungry
To me it looks like a mix of a Japanese beef stew and Pörkölt or Gulyás so to make it Chefpk is pretty close ingredient wise just missing 3 things paprika, long waxy Hungarian peppers and sour cream. You would also go about it slightly differently by cooking the onions and peppers first, remove them, cook the beef, add in the mushrooms and carrots and just follow from there exactly like he did and then add in a touch of sour cream in the end or alternatively top it with a small dollop of it.
I am not very well versed in stews, but Food Wars taught me that they get stewed for days so I was slightly surprised how quickly it can be done. Will definitely try that out this coming week! Thanks chef!
If you're looking for ideas for an anime for one of these types of videos to have food to eat all day, Fate/Stay Night would be an excellent choice. The visual novel is actually quite descriptive of what Shirou and Sakura cook throughout a normal day.
For comedic anime - Ouran High School Host Club Oh my god, that dinner spread I would HAPPILY accept. It all looks so great though, and now you got me looking how to make sashimi at home.
What a delicious menu~ For comedy anime this is definitely a favorite. Grand Blue is a pretty funny anime for a slightly older audience because of the drinking and comedic nudity. I'm sure I know more comedies but can't think of them. Heh Ouran High School Host Club can count, I think. Though my favorite is Wotakoi. Love it to death, 3 couples not in high school, awkward adorable.
I actually just tried my own twist of "karaage"... I marinated 2 chicken thigh (not the drum, but the "thigh") deboned and cut into 3 pieces each into a mix of : - Shoyu & Mirin (1:1 ratio) - Grated ginger (1/2 a ginger?) - Lime juice (1pc) - Sesame oil (1/2 teaspoon) - Chili flakes (2 tablespoon) - Grind coriander (1 teaspoon) Marinate them overnight , then cover them with potato starch and fried with low heat for 10 minutes and re-fried with high heat for 10~15 seconds. Its still soft, juicy, and flavorful :p
If only I liked olives, but nonetheless I'd gladly give the dinner spread a try, especially the salmon. The beef stew though I know I'm gonna be making real soon. I can't tell you how much I love beef stew.
All the food looks amazing! About my favourite comedy anime, it's hard to choose but I think I'll go with Grand blue. Makes me cry laughing. Thank you chef
Hey Chef, love everything you do!! Just wanted to share with you that now I am getting other youtube cooking channels doing "food wars" on my home feed! Looks like you started a trend, nice!!!!
🌸❤️It would be utter envy I stare upon today’s upload and would watch on with the hopes that one day “Sample-Vision” would be crafted (Tv that lets one taste what is seen)❤️🌸
Through most of these "meals for a day" videos, it just seems to be that they're all low on greens. Is a multi-vitamin enough to cover that? For your non-anime days, do you usually cook with more veggies? Are these recipes so frequently low-veggie because restaurants mean for their dishes to be exceptions to diet norm? (I'd make a joke about Shinomiya seething in the distance, but it's not like his onscreen dishes would have satisfied FDA DVs, either.)
@@CHEFPKR I'm really looking forward to it! Quite appreciated how some of the previous 24-hour vids touched on how much you have to work out to offset those anime diets, too.
In Yors stew you forgot two important ingredients. Paprika and sour cream. Just watched the episode again with Yor learning how to cook. So it looks like a fusion of a Japanese beef stew and Gulyás or Pörkölt. To me it looks like a Pörkölt since it's thicker than most Gulyás.
My favourite comedic anime is Dusk Maiden of Amnesia, for sure! Also, I mentioned this in one of your My Dress-Up Darling vids, but the butt buns from Mieruko-chan is something I would love for you to tackle! If you think it's maybe too simple for a vid, you can always put it in a longer one where you try out a bunch of different anime food.
@@mikeybolt1238 thank you. I was recently diagnosed with melanoma, along with other health problems it was a real blow and very frightening. I def need more laughter ❤️
My favorite comedy is probably Hataraku Maou-sama/The Devil is a Part-timer. I'm eagerly waiting for the day you make Yuru Camp food! The show is just as much about food as it is camping. :)
My all time favorite comedy anime is Slayers. It's kinda of a swords and sorcery comedy. It relatively retro so I am hesitant to recommend to new anime watchers but it is so good. The sheer amount of food you would have to eat to a day in the Slayers anime is kinda ridiculous so.. >_< I am also a huge cheese freak. I get this extra mature cheddar and just eat it like a candy bar because I have 0 class. XD Great video. All of it looked good except for the olives. Not a big olive guy. >_> Hope you are having a blast at the expo.
Favorite humorous anime? I mean there's the greats like Demon King Daimao, Kaze No Stigma, Inu x Boku SS, but my all-time favorite has to be Mitsudomoe.
All of this looks great, but it's too bad that there was no omurice, and I think "tapenade" comes from the Provencal word for "capers," so I was surprised that the tapenade didn't have capers in it.
One of my favorite romantic comedies is Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku! It's about adults just being people and feels so fresh and funny! I swear I know people just like the characters! (Totally not me and my husband....) Would 100% recommend giving it a watch!
Yeah its been a while since we had an adult couple. 1st thing coming to mind is "I cant understand what my husband is saying" Its a series of shorts about a Normie Office worker with a Hardcore Weeb husband. Could also count Golden Time

Can’t wait to meet you!!!
Hope it's a great time Chef
Hope to see you tomorrow at Anime Expo!

Internationally cork trees are neither listed as endangered nor near extinction, but apart from that your point holds
Corked wines are also ruined by bad corks
My husband and I go to wineries up in northern Michigan and if I can remember correctly, one of the people we spoke to told us that corks are kinda being phased out. Kinda for preservation of the cork trees, but also because the cork isn't really necessary? They told us we'd be seeing a lot more twist caps in the near future
If you ever ask "Is cooking this worth the time?" The answer is always YES. I spent 6 hours making apple fritters from scratch 10 months ago and I still dream about them.
Cooking is a really good pastime
14-16hours smoking briskets, 4 hours baby backs, 4 hours need bourguignon, 1.5 hour butter chicken, and tons more recipes, it’s always worth the time
the most time I've spent cooking is 6 hours , when I have to slow cook a batch of pork belly in miso and spices mix. It needs a very low heat, occasionally stirred every 5-10 minutes, removing scums, and adding more pork stock (from the bones, on separate container) if it's too dry.

You truly made my day. After everything that's happening in trending you REALLY made my day. Thank you.
I'm glad I made you're day a little brighter
I would love to see your take on Yor's stew that she and her brother grew up on!
I think that was supposed to be it. Was going to mention that the manga specified the stew being made with a dash of sour cream.
To me it looks like a mix of a Japanese beef stew and Pörkölt or Gulyás so to make it Chefpk is pretty close ingredient wise just missing 3 things paprika, long waxy Hungarian peppers and sour cream. Perfect blend of the whole family in 3 dishes
Wow! Waku Waku! It looks really amazing and the stew is really easy to make.
I would like to see you make the pork dish which has all the 'P' ingredients that was served to Loid. That was so funny and interesting.
if anyone has the extra time and a sweet tooth you can make peanut brittle with some heavily salted caramel for the pancakes
I am not very well versed in stews, but Food Wars taught me that they get stewed for days so I was slightly surprised how quickly it can be done. Will definitely try that out this coming week! Thanks chef!
It depends on how much connective tissue is found in the pieces you're stewing.
If you're looking for ideas for an anime for one of these types of videos to have food to eat all day, Fate/Stay Night would be an excellent choice. The visual novel is actually quite descriptive of what Shirou and Sakura cook throughout a normal day.
There's also the slice of life Fate anime that focuses on the food a lot
For comedic anime - Ouran High School Host Club

Love your videos your anime cooking videos food looks beautiful and tasty and it's very satisfying to watch the process of making them
That beef stew is goals! Thanks Chef!
Dagashi Kashi is a pretty good comedy anime. It’s a pretty random series about Japanese candy.
the reason slow cookers make good stews is because stews take time period.
Side note about wines.... Fish usually pair better with whites.
Chef, you've really got to get yourself one of those "Ove Glove" things LOL
My favorite comedic anime is The Devil is a Part-Timer. I am super happy that season 2 is coming soon.
I made the Anya pancakes and I’m pretty sure I used to big of a mold for it it looked like a cake but, it tasted so good !
You hair looks always funny when u wake up
Correction in title: I only ate food from Spy X Family for 24 hours
See, that's what I told my TH-cam buddy but he said no...
I would pay this man to make me that beef stew it looked so good
One of my favorite comedic series is Hayate the Combat Butler, another is the early parts of Katekyo Hitman Reborn. Both were zany fun time.
now do a episode where you only eat Anya's favorite food for the whole day without adding anything or doing anything to it.
So... Peanuts.
Spy x Familly is really cool, but I also like The 100 Girlfriends and How Heavy are the dumbbells you lift
Loved it, I can actually make some of this

6:30 It's ok, No need to explain away why you already have pink sprinkle on hand... It's cool.
I was hungry before the video, now I'm starving.... Your food look delicious
chef, i would love if you tried to make kazuki’s hamburg steak from buddy daddies! has similar vibes to spy x family and super cute and wholesome! 😁
6:27 you should add green onions too CHEFPK
Instead ot sprinkles could of made a strawberry cream to go on top it would be a nice shade if pink and taste so refreshing
My brain just said: ‘you love cheese, try old Amsterdam, it’s awesome and so flavorful.’ This is what I get for being Dutch 😅
