Sir, is the chrystal made on glass or plastic? I do have a French verge fusee pocket watch from the same era. My watch comes with plastic chrystal. I just wonder is it sould be made of glass?
@@benmak3283 The fusee-chain system was used to improve the isochronism with the balance. The mainspring discharges into the fusee gradually and the force remains constant.
love these pocket watches = so i bought a fusee movement one - 1860 on ebay - silver case - waiting .
And I thought my 50 year old Vostok Bochka was old to be still working!
It's like restoring an old steam locomotive, just smaller :)
If that movement was any more old school it would be powered by a campfire! But a stunning restoration, Brother!
Thanks 🤝
Hast du toll gemacht. 😊
Danke Robert🤝

It is chrystal glass👍
@@watchrestorationchannel1061 thank you sir
What is the chain for ?
Ancient fusèe watches had a chain to transmit the motion of charge, like bicycles👍
@@watchrestorationchannel1061 it has mainspring , why still using the chain to charge ?
