It’s verboten for Pesach, but an old school _(REALLY OLD school)_ method is to add piece of bread into the brown sugar, then seal the container , and that will keep it moist. The same trick works to soften hardened cookies.
For Pesach they sell clay discs you can buy that submerge and soak for a while, then add the disc to the brown sugar and it’ll keep it moist.
As always enjoyed the video! Looks like you guys had a beautiful Seder.

When I was president of UMass Hillel (1979-1980) it was a year that many did not go home on Pesach, so the rabbi and I hosted a seder for 400. I then came up with the Post Passover Pizza Party. It lasted, I am told , as a tradition for more than 20 years there. And it is still a tradition at the end of Pesach with my family. Chag Pesach Sameach 2781! Todah Rabah!

    Hi Marion,
I love your videos! You do such a great job! Always interesting and informative.
I'm not Jewish. All I have ever known is Christian holidays and Christianity in general.
I have loved learning about Shabbat and all the Jewish Holidays.
You have a beautiful family! You're a wonderful momma!
One major difference I see and love is that you and your husband teach the boys about the true meaning behind the holidays .
My experience has been, with Christian holidays the focus is more on Santa, presents, and a bunny with candy.
It is wonderful you keep the focus on God! Happy Passover!

Almost every organic egg raised humanely can have a blood spot so I made the choice over what's more important to me. It's also important for everyone to know that whether or not you check your egg for blood spots doesn't make someone Jewish, identity is so much more than that.

Please don’t film your content on Shabbos, or Jewish holidays such as Pesach!
I won’t be able to continue to watch your channel if you film on the Jewish holidays or, Shabbat!
There is no reason to film after candlelighting!
You can show us everything you made before, (shkiya) sun down.
Also, it’s not right to not share some of your food that you cook with your dogs.
Your dogs seem to be hungry when you’re cooking!
Please make sure that you’re dogs get enough food!
Also, this year Pesach came out on Shabbos, and your not allowed to cook on Shabbos.
Making matza brei on Shabbos isn’t allowed!
You should also know that you’re not allowed to color on the first days of Pesach.
Putting coloring activities out for the kids at the Seder teaches them not to keep Pesach properly.

I don't mind your thoughts about my Jewish practice but I must let you know that my dogs are extremely well cared for, loved and fed! I'm not sure if you have a dog of your own but many many breeds don't understand being 'full' the way a human would and it's in their nature to always seek out food especially if they smell things cooking. Human food is not OK for dog consumption and is often dangerous for them. Anyways rest assured my dogs are healthy and loved.

    • @borsht321
      @borsht321 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MyJewishMommyLife
Some human food is actually better than dog food for dogs.
I have MANY friends that in ADDITION to their dry dog food, once a day they will mix chicken together with their dry food.
It’s not nice to only give your dogs the same dry food.
Just like humans, we get tired of the same food all the time as dogs do.
      We also need a change.
Besides, it’s cruel to cook yummy food, and not give any of it to your dogs.
Actually there is a lot of human food that is actually good for your dogs.
For example, salmon has a lot of omega 3, and is excellent for the dogs skin, and coat!
Of course there is some human foods that are poisonous for dogs, and that you shouldn’t give.
For example, things such as avocado, chocolate, and grapes are toxic for dogs.
      Chicken bones are also dangerous.
But, most meats, and fish are good for dogs!
They can even have small amounts of cheese for a treat!
It’s not true that dogs don’t know if their full!
I know plenty people whose dogs don’t overeat!
In reference to keeping Shabbos, and yom Tov, it’s the same Torah for EVERY Jewish person to follow, and it’s unacceptable for you to be filming on Shabbos, and Jewish holidays.
ALl Jewish people are supposed to follow the Halacha!
