Just got two great tips . 1/ one snip in corner l would do a few and my corners wouldn’t turn out good.
2/ you put piping on at the same time, l have never seen that before , that’s save time .

It seems counterintuitive to just chop off the corners but as long as you stay 5mm away from the stitching it stays strong and really improves the finish. As for piping, there are several ways to sew it on. I use all methods depending on the fabric and finish. This way is definitely a bit quicker though.
