Out of all the playthrough channels that I've seen so far, yours is the one I probably learned the most from. My style is a bit, where I try to capture as much of the enemy bases as possible...but where yours really helps is in the first 5-10 on getting a lot of money coming in, covering more ground, and effective chokepoint defenses further out before the enemy can get a foothold. Much respect and thanks for putting these together.
I recently discovered that if you micro the rocket buggys well, you can early snipe the US dozer at the south base (they’d build more, but it saves some time) That would lead to all forces of the south base to be aggro and rush your base, but not to worry, the more threatening units take the north scenic route, so you can prep defences (Gatling cannon tank hunter bunker combo) The basic Humvees and couple of crusaders will take the shorter south route connecting their base and yours. Use the rest of your starting force to take them down (make sure to save the RPG trooper biker though) Once the short path is cleared, send the starting force directly to the US base and up next to the enemy artillery platform (so it can’t fire at them) and send the RPG trooper biker to take down the other US dozer before it builds enough power plants to power up the base’s defences Build barracks, capture ability unlock, and volia In about 10 minutes, you’ll knock out the south US base and best case, have all their buildings without much fighting and collateral (oh and the POWs too)
Loool man - this is really good strategy - I like it so much - I play pretty much with heavy tanks like overload and destroy everything in the way, but that strategy is smart and effective and help to beat faster this map
I did it in exact 21.00 min compared to your 23.30 (from start to end just before cinematic). I used superweapons though. It would have been even faster if I had built more scuds.
That is the plan. You got it. It´s very important to secure the bridge on the top right within the first 2 minutes, so the troops of the top usa base can not secure the village on the right side
Another way to do this mission (but micro heavy) is get around 10 helix 2 with speaker tower the rest bunker and put rocket soldiers in them attack and capture the US base, but leave the POW until you have the US base built up Build a strategy centre and airfield + supply drops (spread them out by a lot) get all the upgrades except for the biohazard suits and armour Get the comanche upgrades and spam comanche then build a propaganda centre and get the speaker tower bonus Build gatling tanks and battlemaster (more gatling than battlemaster) and send them north slightly build another 10 with bunker (2 with speaker tower) and send your helix and comanche to defend the orange base while you build them When they are all done, keep spamming comanche and send your helix+comanche to the main US base take out avengers then rocket soldiers and patriots Prioritise power-war factory-airfield-barracks and keep building comanche to offset your losses and mop up the rest of the base to finish the mission

Do u usually remove the previous mod and then install the new mod? Would u advise this? The Shockwave and Contra mods , do these have new missions or just general vs general game play?
Holy macarony... I just couldn't get past this mission in hard mode - but I might try to copy your tactics and see where it gets me :) About the RotR mod: you should give it a try. It's in the hands of the same guys who did Shockwave, so it's all pretty solid. Russia might be a tad overpowered where the European Community Alliance is slightly underpowered in the beginning phase, but I assure you it's a quality mod. Best thing of all, because it's from the SW guys, no need to erase that mod when you install RotR. And when you've got the chance to do some cross-teching, you'll lick your fingers :D
I always remove the curently installed mod before I install the next mod. I advice to do the same. The Contra mod Has new missions which are good. The Shockwave mod doesn´t have new missions
I love CnC Zero Hour. And you are a very good player. I always get bombarded with the US airforce on this level. You did not install stinger sites and I did not see a single plane take off. I love your strategy in this level. Good job mate. Also on an other note. Could anyone tell me names of good Zero Hour Mods? Thanks.
Hi and thanks. In my personal oppinion stinger sites are waste of time and money. I prefer mobile defence (attack units), because they can attack and defend. Good mods are shockwave and Contra. But I like Shockwave more, Contra is unbalanced. There is also Rise of the Reds, but I can´t tell if this mod is good. I never testet it.
hey good video but one thing, when getting in range use 7overlords and stay behind and use 4 infero cannon or 3toma hawk missiles,and create gattling cannons and speaker towers on overlords, remember this will work in easy .construct mare of them for both and will prove effective strategy in medium difficulty.i will subscribe and I had voted like !!!

I just beat this level, i don't remember it being so hard. You move the mouse so quick almost to the point where it isn't fun. But it took me 8 scud missled and germin keil to actually win this game.
Playing this in 2020. Damn This mission is hard. I thought this will be easy because I have chinese units. I tried spamming Overlord but the enemy always targets it with Particle Canon. TOW missiles are crap too.
This is my fav mission as it is challenging, I could never find a way to save the captured GLA units and focused on defensive units but their air power combined with tomahawk land attacks decimate my forces. Watching cncHD vids definitely make it more easy. Try using this method: Collect almost every UN crate within the first 5 mins for the needed cash boost with your motorbikes and quads. It is up north near the river, then to the right in the village, 3 more down south near the docks alongside and oil derrick, further right 3 more near the middle village with high rise buildings, furthest north west past the artillery base and then finally south west mountain ravine where there are many crates. Collecting all of these should give you about 20K If you can defend yourself from the south US base and then attack with 6 7 helix and take over them. (while defending yourself from large US base units. then build at least 6 scuds. Attack their reactors to render them powerless. rescued GLA units United with their families in the middle give you another 20K to spend. Go wild and attack the USA with brute force or use all superweapons on them. Check out Chinese units on North East corner with tunnels and once captured will make your assaults easier. I'm gonna try this now and play some more. Hope this helps

This is an incredibly annoying level. It's frustrating that you have a chinese base at the start when supposed to be playing GLA, and then the whole thing with the stupid USA base and its POWs makes it too much for my ageing brain.
The level is frustrating, but not for these reasons. You also start with two GLA workers, so the Chinese base can be immediately sold for extra cash and build space. Second, the POWs do not really need to be rescued. The reward is $10,000, and while that sounds enticing, you can easily spend more than that amount on the units needed to rescue them. The orange allies join even if the POWs aren't rescued, and they are huge liability on hard mode. The main U.S. base seemingly doesn't start sending major attacks until a unit comes close to their base....and the first thing orange does before they're finished building anything is send a suicidal attack to their front gate. And without significant protection, they can get wiped out very quickly. -- I usually chose to rescue the POWs for the hell of it. But after knocking out the support bases defense and production building, I let the timer run down to the last second before 'rescuing them'. Lastly (my 0.02), I recommend keeping the Chinese 1) Having at least one power plant speeds up GLA production 2) A helix with 4 rebels can be flown up to capture the 4 oil derricks in the northwest island very early.
