Many thanks for the strategy. After 10+ attempt, finally i have claimed the victory
Guys, playing with this strategy, there are some key points
1- ADMIT, it won't be that easy like cncHD did. Because he is so fast clicking. obviously you are not.
2- at start, make sure you spam enough military unit
3- on east side, next to supply built a banker. it will be very helpful when cycles and scorps attack
4- before attack the first statue, built battlemasters as secondary unit
5- clear the first statue area (not the statue) with military and run back, let GLA units chase them.
6- eat them like cheese with battlemasters.
7- in 10 min you need to build third supply and clear tunnels on the west side..
if you reach this point SAVE it
8- spam military and get ready for the big battle on the north
9- do not forget garrisoning the valve station , it keeps GLA busy.
10- if you can't reach 2nd statue in time, do not capture buildings, just smash them and go on.
11 - red guards are important to capture buildings and kill rebels next to statue
12- if you destroy that shitty statue, SAVE and enjoy the rest. Rest will be easy.
Indeed, I just managed to claim victory with this tactic, but it was not chill for me haha :)
20:48 Because if you look in the map in world builder, you can see in the top right corner, that they have hidden structures outside the map. This includes a Palace, Black Market, and a Chinese powerplant (under GLA control, which makes GLA able to build twice as fast). Yeah.. the devs really were douches when designing this mission.

@FC6-3.7 None of them really. All Zero Hour campaigns are like this to some extent, and they're just bizarre about what they allow for your tech tree. For example, the 1st USA mission you can build Ambulances, but not in the second. In ALL USA missions, your Strat Center's intellegence ability is gone. Why?! In USA 4, you can't build airfields, and you can't build particle cannons, but the GLA can build a SCUD Storm just fine.
The campaign versions of Dr. Thrax and Prince Kassad are nothing like their playable counterparts and Kassad's tech tree makes no sense.
Also, GLA 2 you can't build black markets for some reason, even though Kassad can. You can however capture one near the end to build your upgrades. Also, Kassad has USA Pathfinders but can't build anymore of them. Also also, on Hard difficulty there's a random China Bunker in your base owned by you, in a spot where it's completely useless. If you sell it, it instantly transfers to Kassad, so you don't get any money from it.
On GLA 5, your ally AI has the exact same scripts for all difficulty, so he's nearly worthless on anything other than Easy because his base construction and unit composition is terrible, and they don't even give him cheat money to keep him going so he runs out of steam fast.
China is the worst about this though. China 1 has NO Late game eco except for oil derricks, in a mission where the enemy has their whole tech tree. China 2, similarly the enemy has their whole tech tree but you don't. The China campaign overall is just dickishly designed and i never play it when i play through the campaigns of Generals and Zero Hour. My playthroughs end at the GLA campaign and even that one isn't that good.
I fucking hate this mission. Those GLA long range attackers are the most annoying artilleries that I have ever seen. Those large numbers of anti-battlemaster defenses and units kept wipping out my army nonstop and those annoying demo traps kept making lose tanks nonstop and the worst part is there is no artillery or airfields for China.

not to mention how much pride the fucking buggies have with their retreating attacks
3 year old comment, but China's Campaign is the worst about nonsensical tech trees and cheating AI. In the previous missions you could access your Prop Center, and in China 2 your Airfield, yet you get niether in this mission where the enemy has their entire tech tree unlocked AND off-map power plants and palaces.
Now that the collection dropped on Steam, I'm sure others are here trying to figure out why this is so difficult lol... just FYI: back in the original CD release, this mission gave you the Carpet Bombing ability, which for some unknown reason they removed for the C&C Collection.
Was also removed in the first decade version
Finally, I completed this mission on hard after many years, since I played it for the first time, it was a nightmare. Thank you cncHD!
how can I destroy the building??
@@zlatan1506 you don't need to destroy any building just take either a dragon tank or two or some toxin tanks and they enemies will be gone. One time i cleaned out the last statue and found out i wasn't done, almost lost due to there was a statue at the bottom i forgot. Again the key is to take over their factories at the top righ, if you take those over fast game is over. Everything else he said is complete fact tank hunters and soldiers are really good for taking over those camo nets.
Just a tip for anyone who plans to use that pump station as a means of holding off northern GLA attacks: Don't. It's not invincible, it's just capable of surviving a LOT of fire. It might survive a couple of minutes under a moderately-sized GLA assault, tops. Plus it can only hold one soldier, so it's not going to be able to bite back very hard. Only use it to buy yourself a little time before plowing through the northern GLA base, maybe use it to soak up some bullets for your troops.
Thanks, this video helped me a lot. Another nice and fast way to do this is once the GLA barracks and war factories are captured, to just build motorbikes with terrorists and rush to the statues.

Im also replaying all missions on hard mode now(last time was 2010 on medium fucking time flies) . just finished gla and china now moving onto the usa. I must say some missions are almost impossible to beat without rushing early especially last mission of china.

Personally i think Generals vanilla had better campaigns, and even those were kinda just alright. Zero Hour, the only decent one is USA and half the GLA Campaign. I always skip China's campaign, it's just so dickishly designed.
I did start a project awhile ago to improve all the campaign missions, stuff like tech trees that make sense, civilians added, and slightly smarter AI. China would need a complete overhaul....
Okay i tried this way and the author who makes this videos is super fast at clicking and is able to do things like spread troops that i have never done. The best way I have only beat it, it keep spamming soldiers and go up the right side quickly. Blow up as many camo nets as you can to reduce them in the way and clear a path early to all 4 of them. That way if you have to battle any scuds its just scuds. Then go on the right side and take over the two tank factories. And start spamming out toxin tanks so you can get rid of the people in the buildings. The most important part is just simply stop the uprisings. with more troops. He is right about they will chase certain individuals and i did build battle masters. I just can't click fast enough to beat this way.

Just tried this mission again for the first time in years. The method in the video didn't work...for some reason there was a massive horde of GLA units waiting at the edge of their base; it was too much for my units to smash through. However.. I tried again, this time pushing north-east towards those two Arms Dealers like you said. After those 2 war factories were done, I didn't see anymore new Scud Launchers, and the mission became a lot easier. Perhaps Scud Launchers only spawn from those two war factories on the outside. Can anyone confirm that?
It's insane how much difficulty those scud launchers alone are responsible for.
edit: I read a couple comments from people noticing the same thing. Thus, anyone who agrees that the scuds are the main problem, should make those 2 war factories their first priority.
it didn't work,... after destroying the tunnel near North,.. a bunch of GLA force ambush us with 3 Nuke Poison Gas, I try it again and again, different scenario again, I was cornered with 3 or more nuke gasses missile,... i think we have a harder difficulty than yours,..
@@rodmoises2561 Try to push your forces east first, through the southern edge of the city, clearing out the scud launchers, stinger sites and other enemy units. Sending another force to capture the oil derricks on the bottom path of the map helps too. Maybe also build more barracks in the city too to keep the soldiers coming quicker. The key is to get rid of those 2 war factories at the edge of the city as soon as possible, to stop the scud launchers. The hard part, is destroying all the Scud launchers that are already patrolling the city from the beginning; I admit I abused saves to get through that.
What made this mission just absolute cancer is they handicapped your tech tree. Inferno cannons or just MiGs would be enough

It really worked! i haven't played this game in years and was getting really annoyed with those flippin rocket buggies and scud launchers, big thumbs up for the tactic which I wouldn't usually use!

You are so calm in doing this. It just drives me mad, so In the end I've given up. When i tried this strategy, I just ran out of money before I had enough troops, I guess I just lack your patience.

This mission took nearly 20 attempts on my part to beat it. As it is, I got the last statue with an opinion of 2.
This mission is so infuriating on hard, it made me rage. I tried countless times with several strategies but always failed.

IMO this mission is even more annoying than the General Alexander and Leang Commander Challenges on Hard.... if you dont know about this trick with the infantry spam vs the northern base
I just finished this only hours ago and found out somethings;
1. Your international opinion timer goes slower the lower it gets so dont rush.
2. The more statues you destroy, the more aggressive they become so manage your time correctly to build up a strong army and destroy them.
3. I think its a bug, you can garrison the dam controller on the top left part of the map right next to GLA base. Its really durable and take on aggro for at least 4 mins. This will leave you at peace for the moment while you push the right side.
4. Assuming you dont destroy too many statues, you can only face 4 or 5 Scud Launchers in the game. They come from the 2 Arms dealer on the top right side of the map. Destroy them, then no more Scuds.
My army compositions are just Red Guards, Tank Hunters and Gatling tanks. You need the GTs for Scuds and Buggies.
P.S. The hit and run buggies are going to stop at the farmland right next to where an idle Scud Launcher resides. So hit him there. The buggies come from the main base to the right at the top of the two arms dealer than makes Scuds and Scorpions. But if you destroy only 2 statues. They wont make any.

Hey cncHD, i love your command and conquer vids, i will try this mission again, 1st attempt is a failure, i'll try in second attempt, i build infantry as fast as i can, my skills on this game is so fast, but yours was super fast. thnx for your help. im still playing this year :-)
I extracted this mission file by finalbig,and used the world builder to change the win condition with canceling the Opinion number and adding
money to 17500 in beginning.
Then activated the hard script in this map,after reloaded the save some times,I rubbde the 10-13 SCUD launchers and captured the GLAs'
base structures and Jarmen Kell for rubbing SCUDs.
Routine:
1.Taking down first status
2.Heading to GLA main base and capturing left and right onces.
3.Cleaning the GLA outpost from the right side main base of GLA.(Capturing SCUDs was starting)
4.Jarmen Kell,GLA rebels,quad cannons,listening outpost of China to clean the remaining and rub the SCUDs.
5.More bunker and gatling turrets were useful around my bases to stop the SCUDs.
I felt this very good and timer type of Zero hour mission was hard for me.(Always delay and capturing the bases of enemies)

Finally beat it on Hard using a similar tactic. First train about 30 rocket soliders and 10-15 Red Guard, then take out the stingers immediately north of your base, and the GLA tunnel on the left. Destroy the statue there and any patrolling units in the area, then move up the left and take out the second tunnel up on the left. Then move up and take out the base defenses near the water pump station, then capture the arms dealers at the north west. Immediately build 3-4 toxic tractors and use them to empty the garrisoned buldings on the right surrounding the statue, then destroy the statue (I had to keep loading and trying this as I kept running out of time, I eventually did it with about 5 seconds to spare). When that was done I built about 20 battlemasters, move them east and destroy the stingers there and the next statue, then build about 15 quad cannons from the captured arms dealers, send them to eliminate the two arms dealers just south of the bridge, then move in and rush the final two statues with what's left of the quad cannons, infantry and battlemasters.
I don't remember having any trouble at all with the missions. This has inspired me to go back and slam the computer again.

It is because he destroyed all the producing structures pretty fast
this is by far the most difficult mission in the history of generals. I tried both your ways but for me it just doesnt work. im now trying with (sinds there are few enemy soldiers and mostly vehicles) with a group of battlemasters and a few gatlingtanks to take over jard by jard with ahead of them a half circle of 5 lissening outposts without crew, so they remain invisible, the rocket soldiers join the group of BM and GT
with them joins a dozer to build a propaganda tower every now and then for the units to heal
with the far vision en on field healing i feel les disabled for not having any kind of artillary and i dont need to replace as much tanks, some of them even become veteran
i defend the base on the northside en head on west towarth my first main target, the 2 armsdealer's who constantly build those annoying scut launchers.
Westwood you should realy try this method, i think it would make for a real nice battle on screan! :)

Save as many as u like, but keep ur loads to a minimal !! ive noticed that every time u load, ur international opinion goes down by 1 . saving is not a problem, just loading . and since the international opinion is not divided in decimals, you could be losing 1.9 international opinion each time u load !!

I tried gatling spam and it worked pretty good too. few packs of 6-10 gatlings and you will breach till the east bridge, then you need to change strategy to BMs and capture gla arms dealer+barracks. Then you can easily win with motorcycle + terrorist combo. Gatlings are fast enough to dodge scud rockets and to catch pesky buggies

I tried this mission exactly once. When I ran into the first scud launchers, I just quit, because I could immediately tell this is going to be one of those missions.

they are not attacking your base from bottom lane . When i was playing there were a few pack of tanks and motor cycles attacked
Base be damned, you only lose this mission when your last unit dies.
oh, I did this by spamming troop crawlers and battlemasters. I've unloaded the troop crawlers and used them to spot mines and just attacked the middle.
Money is important, but it's not a problem if you capture supplies and oils along the way as you clear the mission.
The mission is only hard if you stay and turtle in your base
I give up, this mission is impossible. Infantry in the open = slaughtered, infantry in building = slaughtered... Nothing works. FFS give us MiG's, carpet bombing, and heavy off map artillery. Who the fuck designed this mission :b

Made it:) i never had that much trouble with city, but base kept me away from victory, loaded more, switched from tanks to troops, used buildings for stinger site clearing and had some spare units for scuds, for gla base had to do more micro management to minimise loses, used 2 free buildings for rpg troops, and some more stuff, persistent trying gives much of real life xp, still i saved and loaded a lot, also tip to destroy statues near end of time was very helpfull. This vid inspired me to try again.
Next mission compared to this is silly.

Dude, fucking thank you. I used your exact strategy and finally beat this mission. It was a lot closer for me (just as I was capturing the gla center I realized I lost my entire chinese base), but it worked. Thought this mission was gonna be impossible for me

I used to have all gold medals before, i really wonder how i won this thing back then. Took like 6-8 tries to make it this time... Btw i found that after destroying the statue in GLA base its much easier to rush ones to the right of the map with redguard/tank hunter from the barracks in the starting base.
Did you try that advance ai mod westwood? Also I am trying to play contra it is hard and why does the nuke general have no base defence? Also he is op with that game ending nuke give it takes 12 min to charge but still I think he is op and regular base defenses suck in contra lol

Why is Zero Hour's missions so anti-fun and hard, like, I don't care about their opinions. Just let me play this my way. Also, they literally disabled aircraft so you can't do any shit about it. Dumb developers and whoever thought of this mission.

This technique does not work with my version of (Hard). I think my (Hard) is actually (Brutal) difficulty.
They start sending scud launchers and rocket buggy before I destroy the first statue.

This mission made me despise battlemasters. They're so unbearably slow without upgrades and are worthless against scuds holy shit. I'm happy to see I wasn't the only one throwing things over this mission lmao.

when i took out the first scud launcher i had 2 more come after me and my tanks that were parked at the first statue as you did while i was trying to move my infantry north. have attempted 5 times and taken a break because i am so pissed off lol

Thanks for the video, imo the key is to use battlemasters, at least they can tank hits from bio missile scuds and chase them down and destroy them pretty easily, heavy firepower they provide is kinda nice too. Gatling tanks just suck for this mission.

Bullshit problems require bullshit solutions. I'm currently doing my own deathless run of generals and zero hour on the hardest difficulty. So far I've been successful but this mission just didn't give me enough tools and gave the enemy way too many tools to do it deathless. So I had to do it in an unorthodox way, aka the bullshit way. So here's how it goes, you always have vision of where the statues are. The mission just needs you to destroy the statues. Stinger sites, rocket buggies, tanks, etc do damage in an area. So I thought why not make them shoot the statuea for you? I tried it and it works. I would constantly build propaganda towers right next to them and have the enemy destroy them. I finished the mission not needing to leave the comfort of my base. Not deathless yet mind you so I'm still experimenting. Thought I'd give you an even less stressful solution.

No it dosent work for First Decade at least... The scuds are killing the infantry with 2 shots.. AND they chase the closests targets, not the ones they "lock" into like your video.. This can work in the original zero hour...
i have the same problem. he's strats doesn't work in the original version, the AI is much more intelligent. even though he's playing in hard difficulty it seems like with whatever patch or mod he has, the difficulty is close to medium compare to mine.
man i tried this a few times now. i jsut cant beat those fawking scud launchers. they always come after me and kill majority of my units.
Are you sure this is hard??? Most likely it's medium , in the hard level you hardly could amassed such amount of money and build any substantial amount of tank before it could get destroyed by scud let alone taking possession of oil rig and refinery not to mention the pesky rocket buggy (hit&run tactics) causing considerable damage to your whatever it is you're building , from this video you upload I think to you had it easy..
This is in hard , i just beat it today after soo many attempts (well save and load) by using battlemaster plus infantry strategy works pretty well
@@kek_9866 I did just that , save at every point of progress in that level and exit the game load and start at the same point if my army start to losing too much ground a.k.a hopeless situations, the truth is I'm only managed to win it by download/restored carpet bombings , just download the zip file from internet and put game folder. I just don't know how to win without that (with a rebel in dirt bike could blow-up a gattling tank it just unwinnable)
@@kek_9866 I do build a lot of gattling gun a round the bases to cover from scud from I saw in this video he could built a new base in the northwester side without being harassed constantly by rocket buggy, scorpion tank or scud launcher it just befuddled me, how?
Trust me battle master is too slow they probably made out of plywood, I don't use it much just use gattling tank, Dragon tank , listening Outpost and a lot of infantry..
@@rushdiahmad2435 no need to built gattling guns like seriously the gattling tanks and 2 tank hunter (from the radar vans) can defend your base no problem.
Also if you rush the top side of the map its hella easy , the only problem is the scud launcher but that can be dealt with battlemaster tanks and the rest will melt using your infantry units.
And also if luck is in your side the scud launcher that is patrolling the village can be destroyed with a well placed air mines.
Just rush and rush just like what you saw on the video.
Trust me this strategy works very well but it also takes a few attempts well atleast for me it took 3 attempts until i get used to it.
This is in hard mode and if your confuse on why his getting so many cash , remember he has 3 supply source and infantry units are cheap.
Worked perfectly. I failed a couple times and I'm not even a noob.
So, I was doing your strategy and unfortunately, my guys just did not seem to be getting like yours. However, I found something else that works well if you can only capture a GLA barracks and arms dealer and not the palace. Mass (10 or so) terrorists on bikes. One of them will get through and it only takes one to destroy the statue.

not sure what u mean exactly but it's either CTRL + 1-9 or double tap E
@@hajinka98_ Oh i already know that. The diverse i meant is actually the button to make them spread out. Try this out. select a group of infantries or any unit group and click "X" to make them spread out. it's main purpose is to avoid incoming scud missile explosion and nuke cannon attack. Very useful btw

@@Zumappa depends how fast your units go. If they are light fast vehicles and a flat open area, they can survive easily. But for medium speed like crusader and scorpion, there is a chance of getting splash non lethal damage on them if they are at the edge of the target zone. Best hope they dont traffic each other

This mission can be easily completed by using the troop crawler even on hard difficulty

Managed to play all gla and USA missions on hard very. Fast but China 3 slowed m down , now. I hope I can win

I remember many years ago doing this mission, I managed to do it but never again. Hugely frustrating, unfair and simply ridiculous mission that simply is extremely unenjoyable to play. I recently started playing C&C franchise as its on EA with Xbox pass. I forgot about this mission until I got to it, I noped out and just downloaded a saved file online. Horrible mission this one is, the only mission in all of the C&C games I will play never play again (Excluding C&C 4 that game I will never play it killed the C&C franchise intentionally).
