This is Ibibio Afang soup not Efik Afang soup. Typical old school Efiks do not use Periwinkle that still has the shell on to cook Afang. Also the palm oil is added last and lots of it. It may not be healthy but that is how the original Efiks cook it.

My husband doesn't like periwinkle shelled, if I use deshelled one will it make it dark
@@chinenye3348 then just skip the perewinkle . No need to use it . It won’t make it black but it doesn’t make the texture of the soup look good .

@@ajaabai9850 I’m not Efik, I’m Annang and this is how we cook ours . The oil depends on the individual.
