Encore une merveille absolue signée du GÉNIE MUSICAL j'ai nommé l'immense Michael franks un de mes artistes préférés tout genre et toute époque confondues je le connais depuis plus de 40 ans je l'ai vu en concert au casino de Paris au début des années 80 écoutez ce summer in New York ( l'homme de la jolia c'est là qu'il est né en 1944 en Californie s'est surpassé une fois encore pour nous offrir ce chef-d'œuvre) c'est sublime un artiste gigantesque a la discographie unique et en plus il est végétarien et défend les animaux( il cite souvent l'association Peta dans les remerciements sur ses disques) un homme parfait en quelque sorte!!!!! Pour moi la plus belle discographie de la west coast tout simplement !!!!!!!!!!! dernière petite anecdote il a eu plusieurs teckels comme moi . Un des dieux musicaux du 20 ème siècle !!!!!!!!!!!!! GIGANTESQUE ET MONUMENTAL INOUBLIABLE ET ETERNEL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. écoutez le travail de la trompette bouchée c'est Prodigieux tout au long de ce diamant absolu qu'est summer in New York !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dernière chose cette merveille est tirée d'un de ses derniers albums qui s'appelle Time together et qui est sorti de mémoire il y a une dizaine d'années. LE TALENT ABSOLU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First time I ever heard Michael Franks I was on Samosir Island, Lake Toba in Sumatra. We heard this amazing music floating across the water and we yelled out 'Who is that singing'? A voice yelled back, 'Michael Franks'. I've been a fan ever since.

As all of you have noted, Michael Franks has a unique voice but the lyrics he's produced/written speak volumes. Being a NYer born and raised hearing him take me back to my teen days from riding the #1 Train to midtown to defining his/our vice to the famous Italian ices. If you ever have spent an extended time in NY Franks touches almost all the great areas of Manhattan. Him being from La Jolla, CA but writing like a native New Yorker says it all.
I used to play this all the time when it's first came out remind me of my weekend I had in New York one summer many years ago.
