Due to all the news regarding Rings of Power, I thought it was going to blow chunks. But I'm about halfway through Season One and...it's actually really good. The only legit complaints I have are that Bear McCreary can't quite match the same level of grandeur that Robert Shore had with HIS soundtrack, the CG on that Warg pup looked abysmal and the fight scenes (while awesome) don't feel as epic as the battles in the original trilogy. As for War of the Rohirrim, I'm mostly excited for the fact we're FINALLY getting a fantasy movie on theatrical release that actually FEELS like a fantasy movie. Seriously, the last time we got something like that was with the D&D movie and afterwards...nothing. It's like people have grown to hate the fantasy genre the same way society grew to dislike westerns after the Sixties. It's time for a change...no more superheroes, no more Star Wars, no more remakes; just bring in some good ol' fashioned stories with dragons, wizards, elves and all that stuff
Brave man admitting you like rings of power. I too actually don't mind rings of power too much, the writing could be a bit better. But the entertainment value is there, somewhat. I enjoyed season one and have been alright with season two so far.
@@hashpipe710 I'm already on Episode 3 and I've yet to see the "problems" people have. For one thing, I see zero signs of the show "humanizing" the orcs
I wonder how will the movie play out and hopefully it’s well made and doesn’t destroy the Lord of the Rings legacy even more

The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey was the only one from the trilogy that I give a pass, the riddle scene alone is the best thing from the trilogy IMO
