so glad someone else said it, Ham's really gotta reel it in. i feel for Ros, he was definitely a "second car" scenario.. so it was good to see a nice underdog story. but in all honesty, i'm just hoping verstappen can step up another level this year with RBR & Ricciardo 'IF' bottas can't keep up... otherwise it's another "44" story. hope the chap gets a revelation soon. i want the old Ham back.

Even if we assume that they were equal at the time, a rookie being equal in performance to an experienced two time world champion still makes him better because HE IS A ROOKIE. You're basically saying an experienced Fernando could not beat Lewis Hamilton as a rookie. Fernando should have wiped the floor with him but he could not even beat him. And when you say "he wasn't given the two time world champion status", what you mean is that you think what Alonso thought at the time, which is that he should be the clear number one in the team. So a two time world champion should be given special treatment just to be able to beat a rookie. Lol. Both have really grown up since then anyway, and Fernando himself says Lewis is one of the best ever and he would love to be in a team with him. Lewis says the same thing about Fernando.
