Luhhsetty Nice video. I'm trying to grow out my hair it's been about a year and two months since I have used heat. But I still have some damage ends. I know you might probably tell me to wait some time and then gradually cut the ends but the problem is that I haven't seen any growth. I've experimented with Hair,Skin, and Nail supplements but it hasn't shown significant changes. What would you advise.
1. No heat 2. Don't wash hair everyday 3. Use aloe vera 4. Do protective styling 5. Eat lots of nuts or fish. Eggs, fish, almonds, and some more. That's all I have, I hope I helped you out. You can also look up some ways to make your hair grow. That's what I do.
TiaMae E I wish I could use coconut oil but my hair hates it. I have low porosity curls and coconut oil is protein so it makes my hair feel like straw and then....it breaks off. Ugh.
I see you were reading The Host, which is one of my favorite books ever! The beginning was slow, but the rest was pure gold. I recommend it to everyone
No heat has helped me sooo much !!! Also using some hydrating creme like the Kristin ess hydrating curl defining creme and the bumble and bumble mending complexing with two dime sized oil like the biosilk therapy lite helped soooo much if you aren't comfortable with your natural hair I started with just throwing my natural hair in a semi loose bun (since I needed my edges to grow back too)
One HUGE thing that I stopped doing that's helped my hair grow much more faster is combing out/detangling my hair when it's dry or has no product in it, it made my hair vulnerable to breakage and I had many split ends. Make sure to comb your hair in the shower or put some conditioner in it before you do any combing to it.
My tip is to go out and buy a good pair of hair shears. Don't just grab any ole pair of scissors you have laying around the house and go to town on your hair. You can find some and your local bipolar supply store, Sally's Target, and Walmart.
I've grown my hair a lot in the past couple months, and a technique I love to use is massaging Jamaican black castor oil into my scalp the night before I wash/cleanse my hair. I usually do this on the weekend so I'm not going to work and school all oily.
Your growth tips are actually great! From your last video I took your advice and cut out adding hear. So far I only straightened my hair twice in the whole of 2016, which was huge since I used to do it every weekend. If noticed my hair is so much healthier and is finally getting longer because it is not breaking off from the damage. Thank you so much for your videos and good luck!
I'm only 2c, 3a on a good styling day, but I have SD, seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp, which means that I can't use oils, or conditioner (or gels or stylers for that matter) on my scalp. Since then I have noticed that my scalp stays cleaner for longer, that I can stretch to a week, and that my scalp condition is pretty much under control (the sulfates help too, to keep it squeaky clean, which is a must - it helps me avoid the medicated shampoo (Nizoral 2%)). Loved the video. So refreshing to see how you avoid the scalp as much as possible!
I've watched a few of your older videos and when I saw the thumbnail for this one, I couldn't believe it was you! Your hair has grown soooo much and it looks great!!
Your hair looks like it's the healthiest that it has ever been 😍 I'll definitely be following these tips! (and your blonde hair is giving me life 🙌🏼 makes me want to go blonde 😁)
+semaranicole I recently just went natural, and it's honestly the best thing you can do, everyone loved it, just make sure you have the right styling products for your specific hair and you know what you're doing and you'll be good to go, don't worry there is nothing to worry about, i promise :)
I just wanted to say that I love you and your videos you've been my absolute favorite TH-camr since 2014 when I stumbled across your curly hair routine videos :)
your hair is so beautiful and looks incredibly healthy. I can't wait to get my box braids out so I can start some of your routines and use these tips. ♡
I love the host! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 a good tip to mention is reducing the tension put on your scalp by protective styles, head bands, and even pony tails. Reducing the tension on your scalp and hairline can reduce breakage and hopefully increase length retention.
Great tips as always from you! I always detangle my hair in the shower with my fingers just before combing/brushing it too. I've definitely noticed less breakage since I've been doing that! xx
I've been natural all my life and my hair does not grow it stays the same length. Do you have any tips on how to grow my hair because it is so fusturating not seeing growth.
ashley biddle your hair is probably breaking. Try using a satin pillowcase or satin bonnet, make sure your hair is moisturised, deep condition and use a sulfate free shampoo, detangle with a conditioner with lots of slip, don't style your hair too often because it can irritate it and cause breakage, wear protective styles (braids, weaves, wigs etc) to grow your hair, but when you take it out make sure to use a clarifying shampoo to remove build up and detangle gently to not break off too much of your hair. Good luck 🤗
i went to the salon and I ask her to cut off all my dead ends....she ended up cutting of 7 INCHES OF HAIR (4 inches in curls). I've never had my hair this short, but it's about the same length as yours Lisette! I've been watching your channel for some tips! Thanks for posting, i really enjoy what you've been sharing!
I can clarify that the inversion method definitely helped me! I did it for maybe a week and a half in the summer and got my hair past my shoulders, almost reaching the middle of my back when stretched/straightened! (the longest it's been.) The only downside is the oil always makes me feel gross and being upside down kinda makes me nauseous.
I tend to soak my hair in cocoanut oil. Only the roots and for probably about 1-2 hours, but my hair dries out quickly and before the cocoanut oil had a rough time keeping any moisture in the roots
I got a side shave and then a pixie cut as it was growing out, and I needed this video so bad!! My hair takes so long to grow, and I can never find anything about hair growth for curly hair!
Love your videos! I am a new subscriber and have literally the exact same curl pattern as you do but a few years of damage and working on getting rid of it completely . I have been on my NO HEAT kick for nearly a year and looking forward to using some of these tips!!
Feel free to leave your own growth tips in the comments for all of us to learn from each other!
Luhhsetty with the not using heat products thing, what about diffusing my hair is that okay?
Luhhsetty great tips I'm transitioning at 4 months rn any tips?

Luhhsetty love you 😘 lisette

Vanessa Pascual thank you!!!
My Hair Tip:
Coconut Oil! Oil is so good for hair and skin and can be used for so many things! Massage the oil into your scalp when styling at night!
TiaMae E I wish I could use coconut oil but my hair hates it. I have low porosity curls and coconut oil is protein so it makes my hair feel like straw and then....it breaks off. Ugh.
TiaMae E Coconut oil is a no no for my hair. I have protein sensitive hair. As soon I use coconut oil on my hair it ends up hard. 😨
heyshaay My hair too! What's a good alternative?
Kaylaa Torres hey you should try almond oil, jojoba or even avocado oil. A lighter ones is argan oil :)
TGRAM7
Wow i have never heard this happen to anyone! I would definitely try almond oil.
The best growth hair tip I can give is to KEEP YOUR HANDS AWAY FROM YOUR HAIR during the day. Always playing in your hair can promote split ends. ☝🏾
H E Y S H A A Y thanks for this cause I'm always touching my hair
You make me want to dye my hair 😍😍
PrettyLittleFro Omg ily!
Me tooo girllll
PrettyLittleFro ikr
PrettyLittleFro girl dying your hair could ruin it
Kenlea Jones not if you use natural dyes
I see you were reading The Host, which is one of my favorite books ever! The beginning was slow, but the rest was pure gold. I recommend it to everyone
I feel like I'm the only one who can't comb through my hair so damn easily.
Adaora O. yesss same
kathy-ann marchand Like she's just combing through so easily and I'm just like

Adaora O. ikr my hairs really thick so if i were to try and do that boy would we have some problems😂
Adaora O. SAME UGH
Adaora O. same..I just did my hair and struggled
Your hair looks so healthy and soo pretty! This video was superrr helpful:))
Destinee Elliott thank you!!
you have perfect hair...my hair is 4c - 4b & trust me it wont get longer than my shoulder which is really stressing & my curls are unnoticable
Kalia Socute Actually it can get longer ... there are lots of youtubers with your hair type that have long hair
Kalia Socute Have you tried bentonite clay ? It's works wonder to define curls especially if you have 4 types curls. There is few 4c girls who use it.
heyshaay After using the bentonite clay do the defined curls stay?
Taneea It does stay but it fades away during the week. You can do it every two weeks.
Um 4b-4c can grow pass your shoulders you obviously doing something wrong 🤷🏾♀️💀💀
You are the reason I cut my hair! For that I will always be grateful💜
Might be weird but you look so cute with short curly hair. 😂
Aww thank you :D

I saw faster results when I started using a heat cap to deep condition. It makes a HUGE difference!!!

Love love love the quality of your videos!!

Your hair is so long! Love it 😍
My tip is to go out and buy a good pair of hair shears.

That's the main thing i need to work on is not being stressed. But other that I think i take pretty good care of my hair. It's been growing! xo

Hey Luhset!!! I absolutely love your channel. It would be really cool if you made some videos on your nails because they always look so pretty
I just love Lisette's videos and her personality!❤
Great tips as always from you! I always detangle my hair in the shower with my fingers just before combing/brushing it too. I've definitely noticed less breakage since I've been doing that! xx
