how do you like the welder? thinking about getting this for my first welder ever. i was gonna get a primeweld tig225x before i chose this one and the price difference is crazy but at the same time this has all the functions that i’d wanna do such as HF tig and mig and stick whenever i’ll need to do it. i didn’t wanna be limited to just tig since idk how to weld at all and i’d wanna be able to do different types of welding for different projects. but i read on their website this comes with a water cooled tig torch. is that true? and is it worth it to get the extra water cooler instead of running an air cooled torch?
If you'll be TIG more than 200 Amps, then you need the water cooled, otherwise you don't. Just get an air cooled torch with your order or like $100 extra. Then you have two options. You won't have to buy the water cooler initially.
@@UNKPCRIDE i wanna learn tig as the main process when i learn to make roll cages i want every cage i learn to fab to be tig welded even if its not chromoly. i was already considering the water cooler just for the simple fact i felt like it would’ve been good to have already and not need after
Thanks for the video. Just a couple comments for constructive criticism - your audio level is very low. It would help to use a lapel/lavalier style mic. The picture being the narrow vertical bar is also really bad. It would be a lot better to shoot video with a camera that can fill the whole screen. Good info in the video, just the gear to make it could be a whole lot better for a better viewing experience.
I just looked at it and it comes with the air cooled tig not the water cooled tig and it now comes with A roller that does .030 -.045 roller And you do need A regulator for Mig gas because it only comes with one for tig
@@chris18228 Definitely check all information before you buy any high tech product these days, especially from small and/or startup vendors--they tend to make lots of adjustments (not always a bad thing). Also, most of the discussion here was 2 years ago. The Everlast site has a fair number of typographical and grammatical errors, even factual ones (they got the prices wrong on their competitors' products in a comparison chart, lower than they really are, which hurts EL). Some of the text appears to have been written by someone who does not know English as their first language. I do like their very direct style of communicating, especially in the owner manual. I'm in the process of comparing the 275 against the Miller 220 and the Lincoln MIG/TIG pair (both brands have rebates now, but, especially the Miller, are pricier than the EL. I like the DIY attitude of EL, being just fine with working to diagnose and swap parts if needed. Don't ask ESAB to do that with you; Right to Repair is a dirty word to some vendors....
If it is the same torch as in the video, I think you need the cooler. If I read the instructions correctly, you could damage the tig torch even at very low amps running it without the cooling water. Double check the torch. Someone else commented that the kit now comes with an air cooled torch.

Thanks. You are right in all aspects. I'm sure I'm at the bottom of the learning curve!

This is what i got Everlast 18 Series Water-cooled TIG torch with series 35 DINSE-style connector
@@edygonzalez7809 Yes, you either need to get an air cooled torch, or the water cooler.
Thank you
How many AMP do you need to rum that machine?
This one requires 220V. I think that's what you're asking.
At 30amp or 50amp?
@@edygonzalez7809 Sorry, I have it on a 50a circuit.
Thank you for info.
Can i use it on 30a 240v?
