- My tour and review of the No.4 Carlton Hotel Southampton - is this the most luxurious pre-cruise hotel we’ve stayed in? I’ll show you location, facilities, a tour of an executive king room, breakfast and what’s in the locality. There are only NINE rooms here so this is as boutique a hotel as it gets! A touch of luxury in Southampton ❤
Looks like a really beautiful place to stay. A big downside for me is the apparent lack of a lift.
There’s no lift and they can’t install one in this listed building. There are some gorgeous rooms on the ground floor though.
I would definitely stay there, looks comfy and quirky. Love the fridge filled with goodies! 😊

Love the look off the hotel but prefer elevators. I saw you said staff would carry our bags. However, would consider if we got room on ground floor. Are there similar hotels outside off Southampton you wouldrecommend? Village etc
We don’t stay outside of Southampton as we like being able to walk to Restaurants and bars - I’ve stayed in Winchester many times which isn’t that far (Hotel du Vin is nice)

Absolutely beautiful hotel Jamie, I would quite happily stop there with Daniel say for an anniversary or other special occasion. The shower looked awesome, and i know for a fact Daniel would love the shower. Not having a bar restaurant in the hotel wouldn't bother me especially with Southampton having plenty of places on the doorstep to eat at which me and Daniel do most times when we are on holiday.
There’s so much on the door step it wasn’t an issue for us either ❤️

It looks absolutely fabulous. The attention to detail is incredible. I like the slippers by the bed. I’m not so sure about the breakfast. Can you pick what you want to eat ?

If you live on a budget, these sort of establishments will not fit in a value-for-money calculator. The experience, service, and facilities are 1st priority with price being second or third. At this level, you can either utilize private car services during your stay or have a dedicated driver take you to the hotel/cruise terminal. Someone (M.B.) never looked so happy and content.
Correct - they are not trying to capture a budget market either
I told ypu its the best hotel in Southampton we dont go anywhere else every time we cruise thats about 4 times a year❤

£200+ per night....no parking....no cooked food.....no way.

sounds far too dear to me. can suggest other hotels just as good who look after your car and a lot cheaper
That’s why I’ve reviewed nearly all hotels in Southampton, so people can make their own mind up. But I disagree about others in the area that look just as good - this is one of the best.
