I'm 20 and I've been listening Elena's songs for years now. I feel like I've grown up with a sister. Her music helped me many times (in many different contexts). Now it feels like I received a letter from a sister I had no news for a long time. I'm so happy!
Elena bewitches all her fans. that's what this phenomenally talented human being is capable of.
I badly regret not going to this show. I checked and there were a few tickets left, then I checked flights and checked a few days later and it was sold out. Regrets, I've had a few aha Hopefully she releases a live DVD of the show. 'Romance' will never leave my top 10, ever!
same here. from listening to daughter at 13, and ex:re at 16, to now being 18. she's been a consistent part of my teenage life, which i can only say about a select few artists.

@@ALIGATOR007 The "new album" isn't a new album, it's a live album. It's her solo album performed live with 12 Ensemble Orchestra.
I'm hoping for more news soon on a real new album for sure, hopefully either with Daughter or even another solo project, I just need more new music injected into my veins right now.
That being said, this live album will be special. I actually find this rendition of the song better than the original and more emotional, I'm sure the 12 Ensemble collaboration might benefit a few of the quieter songs on the album (I'm curious about Romance, the Dazzler and Too Sad as well as they were the more Daughter-esque songs on the album, could be good)
@@haydendutton6916 I completely agree. I am addicted to her music. I feel a sense of loss and longing when I hear her music. It makes me miss something I never had. Only a true artist can perform something so moving. Her vocals are so haunting and and her lyrics are so deep. I’ve listen to her since daughters album If You Leave. I was only 11. I know I’m telling you a lot but she has changed me who I am as a person. It connected me to really nice people and I finally didn’t feel alone. It’s crazy how music influences us.

God I missed you. Hope you're doing safe and sound. I'm not used to comment on videos, but i just need to thank you for existing and sharing your voices, thoughs and soul with us. It’s not always there. Often we go to our familiar. We know what mood we are in.
We know what music will be matched perfectly to that mood. Those around us won’t understand the choice or the transcendence of the song because their moods aren’t aligned with yours.
But then, sometimes you are on the search for the new.

A new favourite album. Your album of the year. It’s hard to find. Sometimes you can fool yourself into thinking you have found the gem, but you know something isn’t quite right about what you’re hearing. Maybe a song extrapolates a feeling that you weren’t capable of articulating but doesn’t quite hit the heart mark.

Hey Elena I know you'll probably won't see this but you don't know how much your music has stuck with me. During a time I was feeling alone all your music from both daughter and Ex.Re made me feel as if I wasn't alone. You helped me really understand how I was feeling and helped me get through those times. Everyday I listen to your music. You even brought one of my favorite games to me, life is strange and my god the soundtrack for life is strange before the storm was fucking awesome. I could write more but I know you'll never read it haha. Although if you do just know I appreciate you for creating music that has stuck with me for years.

That's beautiful. I've been listening to her since somewhere around 2012 or so. Landfill by Daughter was her first song I heard, and it helped to inspire a story I've had in mind for years. My life has gone in many unexpected, difficult directions which distracted me from writing. But the story Elena partially inspired is finally coming together. Keep writing, kid. Never stop, there are stories in you that must be told.

At my age now you drop out of the loop. I heard Shallows at the end of Sea Fever, my first hearing of Daughter and they have been around for years.
I am by now comfortably alone and fiercely independent but some of these sentiments, as exquisitely detailed in this music, reveal an inner yearning to be once again in love, with all the concomitant pain and sorrow. Overexposure.
