Hi Tanaka, The hike is guided by two rangers who have rifles. We are cautioned to never stray too far from them and to obey anything they tell us to do. We were informed to not wear bright colourful clothing. Animals can be dangerous, but the guides are trained to know the signs of danger. At one point during this hike we came across a lone bull hippopotamus, he was showing signs of aggression towards us and the rangers beckoned us to move quickly away. Hippos cause quite a few fatal encounters in fact, and there were plenty on this hike. I do think though, that the hike is quite safe, considering it is frequent.
Is there any caution about wild animals especially the big 5, with this hiking trail
