Had a question is it possible to cut out portions of the images without using the brush tool ? As in turning the image black and white and only keeping the area that is white and removing the black areas, for example there is a path and grass at both side, you only want the path and remove the grass area.
Easiest way is probably just to use the bezier tool to draw around the section you want to keep, select both the path and the image and go to Object- Clip-set clip and it will hide everything else.
If you can't get it to work with the width/height option, try using the rows/columns option - you can guesstimate the number of rows/columns then adjust till it covers your image.

Is there a way to create money engrave effect?
I think there is a way using filters, I'll have a go when I have some time and make a video if it is successful.
