I simply have to knit not only your newest design, but also the jumper you had displayed in the background! Thank you, John Arbon, for introducing you to our knitting community!
A long time ago in the 80s I used to be a knitwear designer and at my busiest time had 50 hand knitters working on my designs. I'm so happy that the interest in hand knitting is having a resurgence. Your attention to simple details and your reliance on natural creativity remineds me of why I love knitting. I would really appreciate the chance to try out John Arbons appledor yarn. Love the colour orange you designed too. Thank you X
I so enjoyed the Forgotten Fiber documentary. You spoke so well about the issues of fast fashion and about the values of regenerative agriculture and soil-to-soil clothing. Your sweater and the yarn color you designed are such a perfect match for each other. I love the cables and how they frame the moss stitch panels, and the tiny details, like the garter stitch transitions between stitch pattern and ribbing, that make it look so classic. I think you have designed an heirloom sweater pattern, and if knit with the John Arbon Appledore, this sweater could be passed down to multiple generations. I would like to be entered for the drawing, and if I was selected as a winner, I would love to spin that beautiful top. I spun Appledore top once before, and really enjoyed it. It would be a joy to spin for this sweater. About your sample boxes: I think 25 grams is a great size for a taster box, and that will be the one I order. If you offer a box with bigger quantities, I would be more interested in 50 gram “servings.” That is enough fiber to spin enough yarn to knit with, without feeling like I have to make a long term commitment to a big project. Thanks for a great episode. I enjoyed all the different things you showed and talked about. harpingJanet
So fun to see your process in making the blends and colors! Your joy is evident~! ❤ JAT fiber is always so fun to play with. Your new blend looks lovely! Can’t wait to see how it dyes up as well~!
Love the jumper and the color. Fascinating how the colors of the top blend up to make a beautiful orange. I would love to spin up the FIBER in that sack. How fun.
The yarn is such a lovely color. It looks for all the world like my very favorite autumnal soup flavor, full of butternut squash and pumpkin. This jumper would be my go to autumn wear! What a lovely pattern and thanks for the kit! I don’t spin, so I would love the yarn in the gorgeous bag!
You have converted me to love orange! I would love to knit your thoughtful pattern in your curated yarn. I think your project will be very successful. Best, S.
Orange is so underrated! I love autumnal colours and this orange looks fabulous. Seeing the starting colours and the process was fascinating. I would really love the yarn, such a great giveaway ❤
I’d love to knit this beautiful jumper, in the beech colour! Also the story of the beech leaf really chimed with me. It’s great when those delightful things happen!
What an interesting episode, loved how you explained the whole process of combining the fibres to get the colour you wanted. The jumper is fab too. Would love the yarn to knit up your beautiful design. 🧶
Oh my, those colours 😮 I’m deceased!! I love your designs and your ethos of local products/cottage industry. I’d be equally grateful to win either the yarn or the tops, they are both stunning. How lovely!
That color really does glow, there's no better word for it! I'd love the yarn to make that perfect jumper, if shipping to the US is not a problem:) My grandmother and I loved fallen leaves when I was growing up in New England, we'd drive around singing made up songs about the colors, our favorite was the red maples ❤️ Thanks for making me think of that!
I would love to make this sweater with the yarn. I have always enjoyed your patterns, but I must say, this sweater is the nicest of all. The cables with the seed stitch are perfect. Thank you for all your hard work.
I was mentally going through my stash as soon as I saw what you are wearing! Lovely design. I would love the fiber to spin, as I am just starting to spin. I always enjoy your podcasts, so thank you for a much needed respite and something uplifting to listen to while I knit a bit.
Thank you for a wonderful podcast. I love the leaf colour yarn. How nice to hear about the way you composed it. It fits the sweater very well. . I have once knit with John Arbon yarns, super lofty and beautiful colours and super garment. I love to knit the sweater with your yarn colour.
The design is absolutely beautiful! Your Pediment and Boskular sweaters are on my to knit list for 2025, and now so is the Beechmast! I would love to have the yarn to knit it 😊
Congratulations 🎉 on such a fantastic collaboration! The color is stunning. I love the yarn and would love to knit something with such a gorgeous fiber. Happy knitting 💚🧶💚
I live in the Smokey Mountains and that Autumnal colorway is so pretty. It is like the trees of the forest. I am a spinner and would love the top to spin and knit me up a beautiful jumper. I'm going to give your pattern a go as the cables and moss stitch are so cool together. Thanks for your wonderful designs and passion for all things fiber.
the vlog was a joy and interesting, thank you. I was smiling the whole time of the vlog 🙂because the colour and the jumper are so beautiful but also the rest you have shown.
What a beautiful jumper. I love the shape of the seed stitch section and the cables on either side. I went and bought the pattern right away. The yarn looks lovely. I would love to win that. It seems like a nice fit. I enjoy all the explanations you give on the process of your creations. Wonderful time spent with you. Thanks for such a great podcast.
I really enjoyed your going through your design process, both the creation of the orange yarn and the modern take on the aran sweater. I would love to have the yarn. Many thanks!
Such a beautiful story about the fallen leaf! I would love to spin the fibre into some DK to knit a playsuit / outdoor onesie for my grandson, who has just started walking and loves to charge through piles of fallen leaves, picking them up and throwing them 🍂🍁🍂
Amazing sweater, It is interesting to see the colors that are used to blend into a fun pumpkin/beech leaf color. It would be fun to blend and spin my own skeins for that sweater.
Oh dear, that’s a great giveaway 🎉🎉🎉. Both the yarn and the top is absolutely gorgeous, and your design too! If I had to choose, I’d like the top for spinning. And I’m probably would spin for your lovely design. I think it’s gorgeous what so ever, but for me, having a “after-meno-paus-belly” 😬, I think the lines would be very flattering. Yes, I LLOOVVEE it! And with that said, I love the part when you described how John Arbon makes the colours! It’s definitely to think about when carding wool….. Yeah, my brain is all worked up right now… 🙏🌟🙏✨🙏🌟🙏✨🙏
Marina what a fabulous design, I love your thought and details and bought the pattern straight away 🙂 I think it's wonderful that John Arbon Textiles pays the same attention to the creation of yarn and fibers! I would love to knit with the yarn ❤
Hello Marina. I was fascinated to hear the process for creating this lovely colour and the thought and work that you put into your designs. Your pattern is very flattering. I am quite new to spinning but would love to win the fibre.
I’d love either the yarn or the tops!! It would be very hard to choose. Maybe the yarn as I’m still a newer spinner and I’d be so sad if I messed it up! I love your newest design! Thanks so much for explaining how one invents a colorway and how the design process works for you. I found that quite interesting. 🤗
Hello 👋 from a very cold icy and snowy North Yorkshire 🥶. What a fantastic video about the creation of your colour palette...I am a Mill member but haven't managed the trip to the Mill so hearing what and how you blended the yarn was wonderful. I also laughed at the leaf as I've recently retired from teaching and one of the things I came across and haven't thrown away is a perfect skeleton leaf...little treasures! I'd love to knit Beechmast (great name to tie in the beech leaf with the Autumn nuts) in Appledore (...my spinning is a new adventure on a drop spindle and not worthy of your pattern yet!). Really looking forward to your boxes of tops to try. Thank you for your enthusiasm and talent x PS.Not heard of the raw wool company but that yarn looked lush too!
I've been waiting for more information about this beautiful pattern :) thank you for sharing and for having a giveaway! I would absolutely LOVE to try out the yarn to make it for myself- really enjoyed seeing the colours that made up the blend! Did a bit of hand carder colour blending at a wool show using photos of plants for inspiration - so your story about the leaf was wonderful to hear. Autumn is my favourite and you've made the perfect yarn and jumper for the season. Emily xxx
Brilliant design. Loved seeing how it developed. That garter stitch border does so much to accentuate the transition. Tough decision on which I like more🤔 the yarn or the top but the spinner/adventurer in me would love the TOP!
The Jumper and the Yarn is simply gorgeous, I would love to knit one for myself. Love the Autumnal setting, the colours are beautiful, thank you for a wonderful video, Jane.
Oh I love this latest jumper design. Looks so beautiful. Would be happy with the yarn or the fibre. Don’t normally gravitate to oranges but this has me converted. Xx
I love the jumper design and it would be amazing to use the yarn designed for it! I would also be happy with the fiber, though that would take longer😂. Thank you for sharing the yarn design process, fascinating and informative! 🧶 Cher
Hi Marina, I just discovered you, I saw you in the documentary: forgotten fiber. And that story really appealed to me! Your videos are great and fit exactly with my vision. I love the beautiful autumnal orange color of the wool, so I would love the yarn!♥
I love love love the Beechmast pattern, the mixture of cables and moss stitch, and your choice of limited edition colourway. The story of the leaf and your inspiration is lovely. As well as how you've filmed wearing your jumper. I would love to win a yarn kit please 🍂🍂🧶🐑😍
The leaf story is magical, it was definitely meant to be! The colour is beautiful and the jumper is stunning. I would love to knit your pattern with this yarn 🧶
I would love to spin up the tops! Your little leaf reminds me of my daughter, she’s always got loads of “little treasures” in her pockets from outside, and she squirrels them away in fear of them getting mistaken for garbage. A beautiful accidental leaf find would make her day!
I would love the tops, they make such a gorgeous colour! I could definitely see myself spinning for the Beechmast or maybe one of your lovely cardigans. I was just thinking this autumn I’m missing an orangey cardigan from my wardrobe
Have the new beachmast pattern love the sloping cable detail. I will definitely love to SPIN FIBRE. Whether it be the John arbon or similar. Great long term project.
Hi Marina, I won't enter the giveaway but I just had to comment anyway to say how much I love your jumper and also how much I loves this episode! It was so interesting to hear about the process of designing the yarn as well as designing the jumper. The colour is absolutely gorgeous, it really does glow and perfect for the beech leaves 🧡 It made me think of one of my favourite things, seeing a shock of orange beech leaves hanging still on the tree in dark and gloomy woods 😄
I love your jumper pattern, you always do cables so well! It's amazing how the colours all work together to come up with that final result. I'd love to go in to win the yarn so I can have one too 😊
2 amazing local fibre initiatives I’ve bought from this year are The Natural Fibre Company (connected with Blacker Yarns) and Benbridge Wool Works. Wingham Wool Works have moved down South this year, from Wentworth in South Yorkshire. They make some lovely coloured spinning fibres.
Hi Marina. I have already ordered the yarn and pattern for your beautiful jumper but too much is not enough of this beauty so I would be overjoyed to win some and knit my niece a beautiful jumper to match mine. She has three daughters and there’s never enough money for her to spoil herself!😊
Marina, I just adore the colour you created. Such a deep and interesting orange. And your new pattern is also gorgeous. I never win giveaways, but this one I can't pass by, so here goes: I would love to win the tops. 😍
Wow Marina, your Beechmast sweater is fantastic! The color is gorgeous and the design is really beautiful. I would love to win the yarn to knit my own sweater.
I would love to knit your new design with the yarn from John Arbonne, also I love the idea of the sample box for your fibre, 25g would be enough to make up some swatches 😊
Marina, what a wonderful jumper. I have already bought the pattern but on seeing your podcast have seen your giveaway. I love your podcasts and have knit with JAT yarns many times. I bought 2 skeins of the yarn already as soon as it was released to make a hat. I would love to be in the draw for the yarn x
What a lovely color for Autumn! I stopped your video and ordered a spinning bundle with your color then watched the rest of the video and was disappointed that I did not order enough to knit your new design. I am a spinner and love to play with color too (would love to win the spinning bundle).
I just found your podcast and found it thoroughly delightful! The Beechmast design is a thing of beauty and I would be thrilled if I could win the Appledore Aran yarn.
That colour is amazing, and such a beautiful pattern 😍 If I was lucky enough to win the yarn, I would definitely make the Beechmast jumper. I dare not say I'd like the tops (much as that tempts me) - I have so much raw fleece already waiting to be processed for spinning!
I love your designs - have test knit a few. I would love to make your jumper with that gorgeous yarn. I love John Arbon yarn, done a few sweaters with his yarn! So I would love to have the yarn!
I love this pattern and oh my the color!! Why are the best yarns in the UK. I will definitely buy the pattern and hopefully I can find yarn close here in Canada...or maybe shipping to Canada won't be too much...lol Gorgeous work. Love the unique V pattern.
Just discovered your channel. Love your jumper and would be thrilled to get the yarn. :-) I've never won anything, so maybe this time? Gorgeous color! I love oranges too especially "autumnal colors".
I would love to get the yarn and make this beautiful sweater! I very seldom enter giveaways from overseas, but can't resist this color and pattern. Love your podcast and patterns❤
Hi Marina , it is simply amazing how all those colours made your yarn, it is so pretty and your pattern is lovely too. I would love to be in with a chance to win the top as I am hoping to get a spinning wheel soon. 😊
I would soooo love to enter the giveaway for the yarn. As soon as I saw the design, I knew I had to knit it, it looks like so much fun and I always enjoy your unique constructions - a neckline without short rows? Have to try that! 🍁🧡
I love the story how the colour was made, the jumper is stunning but unfortunately I’m not at the stage to knit cables (maybe one day). I do spin and would love to spin the tops in the colour and would be interested to see how it would turn out compared to the official yarn.
I seem to have been a bit of an orange person myself recently! So I love the color yarn you made. I love JA Appledore yarn but haven't tried it in Aran weight yet, so I would go for the yarn myself. Although I am always thinking about trying spinning. So yes, thank you for that, and as for the little samples, if I ever get into trying spinning, I would like the 25 grams, and I'm not sure otherwise. Helpful, right? Anyway love the new design sweater, love the scarf too. Looking forward to seeing your new collection!
Hi Marina. Congratulations for your beautiful pattern and the colorway you have created . I m really interested to follow your podcast I m always amazed by your creativity and your way of working with yarn and natural colors. and I would love to try your yarns some day. I would like to join your give away and attempt to win the yarn. Lots of love ❤
I would like to win the yarn. I would definitely have a go at the jumper, a challenge nonetheless, as I’m new to cables in the round, but so beautiful. I think the v shape cable and moss stitch design is the selling point for me, oh and the autumn colours are spot-on 👌🤎🧡
700g of top seems daunting! But it's so lovely of course I'd trying to spin it! Also I would love the sampler pack, the 25 gram probably for sure but I'm not sure about the larger sizes, 50g would give enough for a little mitt but 100g would be so much less stress and would give you a full skein....so difficult!
You have coloured my winter’s day in glorious orange with this episode! Thank you for sharing the story of the yarn & design for the Beechmast sweater. I’d love to knit this jumper to help me beat my winter blues & if I win, my short arms will love you forever. Clare, by the River Exe (ps what is the recommended ease?)
How absolutely lovely - the color, the sweater design, everything! (I also really like your eyeshadow matchiness here, well done.) I would love to be in the giveaway for either the yarn or the top - I already placed an order for 500g of the top, which I was planning to spin for a fingering weight sweater, buuuuut if I suddenly got 700g MORE top, I would probably scrap that plan and do a DK/worsted spin for A WHOLE CABLED DRESS. On the other hand the Aran yarn ready made would be absolutely splendid (and less work, hahahahaha.) Anyway. I can't get enough of this color, so sign me up for any and all opportunities.
I simply have to knit not only your newest design, but also the jumper you had displayed in the background! Thank you, John Arbon, for introducing you to our knitting community!

Fascinating seeing the colours that go into the fibre, would love to spin it and see how it differs from the spun yarn.
The Jumper and the Yarn is very beautiful ! Love your designs.!
Your jumper is absolutely beautiful. I’d love the top as it’s so luscious looking. So enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing.❤
I live in the Smokey Mountains and that Autumnal colorway is so pretty. It is like the trees of the forest. I am a spinner and would love the top to spin and knit me up a beautiful jumper. It's very interesting to see the whole thought process of designing the colour then the jersey.

Both yarn and jumper is so pretty! Well done Marina! I would love to make this design, so would be great to get the yarn. Greetings from Poland.
I am so obsessed with the colour, the most perfect orange!! Please enter me for the yarn 💛
What a gorgeous jumper! Could it be my first cable project?! I’d love the yarn.
🧶 I like the shoulder design and would love to try it
Yarn please, adore both the colour and the pattern. ❤
I think the v shape cable and moss stitch design is the selling point for me, oh and the autumn colours are spot-on 👌🤎🧡
Love, love, love that jumper! Would love to make, oh, would make it for sure, would be nice to win, 😊
I would like to enter and would like to have the yarn, absolutely love your design and your podcast ❤
