Great video, you restored my faith in Weber Pellet grills. You really understand the backyard barbecue cooks, keep making your truthful videos, we’ll be anxiously waiting for the next one.
Scotty have had the EX6 since they came out over 2 years ago. Have only replaced glow plug in it. The thing is a beast ...never had a grease fire...it just doesn't happen.
@@ScottysBackYardBBQ I just bought online it from a retailer (not Weber) in Sweden and all warranties are good. I did compare the part number to the one at Weber website and it's the same so it should be gen 2. Tnx for replies sir and bon appetite 👍
Looking to buy one. Waste of time here. Not a review of a smoker but a review of cleaning it. Time I’ll never get back and have no more idea of what to expect out of the smoker.

Buy it.if its the gen 2 model. Keep it clean . It will turn out the best food.
Use lumberjack or bearmountain pellets
@@ScottysBackYardBBQ How can I tell what generation it is?
@oistein74 If you're buying it new at a store, it's gen 2

I know you prefer WSM for briskets, but how does the EX4 do with brisket in comparison.
Ex4 does an amazing brisket.. just lacks the great wood flavor. But not by much.
I am definitely team drip pan! Your shop vac made quick work of that cleanup👍
yes i been using drip pans since 1981m mum get mad at me i used here good cake pan lol
well done. great vid.
@jefffriedman6942 Thanks for watching . I appreciate it
Mine failed after 3 1/2 hours into its first cook. Prior to that it had inconsistent temp readings and difficulty accepting software updates
Sorry to hear that. I never updated any apps yet. I don't use my phone. Try it with out the app.
@@ScottysBackYardBBQ It's going back and getting my 1200 dollars back. Weber should stick to propane grills with manual burner knobs.
@@thollingsworth4910 ok. sorry it didnt work out for you
I’ve never used a pellet grill. Is it any better than charcoal or propane? You have a serious collection of grills though! Drip pan!! :-)
Thanks. Charcoal better then pellet..I try to show folks u can make good bbq on any type of pit.
Very nicely done. great pit. A little pricy for what you get but she makes good food!
she is a beast i love it, glad i waited a few years to get her
Thanks man. Was the master built charcoal next to it? How does that compare?
Close to the same. The master built burns more fuel
One year later and Weber has a clean sheet new design in early 2024. Let's hope Weber learned to do better R&D before selling us junk.
Seems. They are doing better.
How long did it take to get to 600 from start up?
i say about 5 minutes i never timed it.. but it was fast
Wow that is rediclously fast, thank you!
How is your Smokefire? Still running good?
Still going strong. No problems. Love it.
Easy clean up 👍🏻

5 briskets a week? You eat that much brisket? That’s some serious smoking ha!

Where do you put your drip pan. Watched a couple of your videos but didn’t see where it’s at. Thanks.
i place it right under the meat. i do not always use a drip pan. depends on what i am cooking. some times its a water pan..
