Scissors, when they played it live 25 years ago, traditionally had elements of improvisation in the second half of the song based on how the band was feeling that night.
I saw Slipknot in 1999 (summer, I think) at the Warehouse, in Toronto. Kittie, and some other band, opened for them. They opened with (sic), as I can remember (I was on a lot of drugs lol). Joey did this weird puppet dance, standing on his drums, as the lights came on. He was the first one on stage. I got sick, and puked in front of the stage. Clown pointed at it and pretended to laugh. Sid, then jumped of the massive stack of speakers at the right of the stage, and landed on my, and my friend's heads. He was much more agressive back then. To be fair, people were trying to pull off his gas mask as he was crowd surfing (nobody had seen their faces with masks at this point). As he was surfing, he was punching people in their head, and I mean PUNCHING (I caught a few shots myself lol). At the end of the show, my friend and I stayed, to get autographs and shit, and the only people we didn't meet were, Mick, Paul, Sid, Shawn, and Craig. We met Chris in his tour bus. He totally stopped what he was doing, and came to the door with a massive smile to sign our ticket stubs. I can;t remember where we saw Jim, but I think he was on his way to the bus. He looked like he was in a hurry, but I stopped what he was doing to say hi, sign our stubs, and thank us for coming. I can't remember how long we were hanging out in the parking lot, but I remember getting sick a few times, looking up and seeing Jordi and Corey talking to a few people. Everybody else had left...it was pretty surreal. We went up to say hi, and they couldn't be friendliest and humble. I could still see the black smudged makeup on Corey's face, and remember seeing his Chinese neck tattoo. Apparently, they were looking for the Brass Rail, a well-known strip club in Toronto. We were like, we can show you! They were like, ok! I can't remember what happened after, because I was really out of it, but they ended up not going, and we took off. Point of this story is, I've been to many concerts, and had some amazing experiences. This, by far, was the best show, and experience I've ever had.
