    And that's just what it is, nothing spectacular, but very smooth, reliable, good handling, very economical in fuel consumption, very cheap in costs and taxes, safe, easy to comprehend, wonderful loading space, lots of headroom in the back, great seats, hooky soundsystem (especially for Duran Duran's Hungry Like The Wolf), ergonomic behind the wheel position, clear infotainmentsystem, allert rainsensors, roaring sound, interesting colour-palette, nice rims, beautiful day-led illumination, and a mean looking nose thar gets everybody out of the way....but not much more than thar, really...👍🐼😃🤡🐩💓

    I'm not a fan of these kind of cars, but I like your review, it's so realistic and not that "marketing crap" we hear almost in every video about cars. Thank you for being a regular guy trying to help people buy a car.

      29reload I agree, and he is pretty humorous too. If find his reviews informative and entertaining.

    The center console looks like straight from VW group. All the knobs, all the positions, all the silver parts.

    A 1.2t petrol in this class is a first. Times have changed.

      Might be the last you see of the 1.2 petrol in Ireland, I liked it but Irish people in a car this size won't touch it.

    Which would you recommend for a long term, qashqai or yeti in terms of reliability and running cost for a family of 5?

    Didn't really talk about much of anything did you? You get to test what is basically the most popular and successful crossover the world has ever seen. Show us the boot space, how is the stereo, is the leather any good, how are the cabin plastics, what about road noise, visibility, 4WD, suspension and ride comfort? Give us some meat to chew on man :p

    Thanks you - although this one is not amongst your better reviews. Not enough information. Also you could have informed us about changes they've made since the previous model.
    I've been driving QQ 1.6dci for almost two years now and to sum my experience: engine and drivers position are great, while everything else is between average and shitty. Not a car I would buy again or recommend to anyone I like :)

    Can I have your job please pretty please? You need a bag carrier? lol. Anyway, it's a nice improvement, especially the interior :o) The vehicle sounds really quiet in the video, is it really like that? :o) Great review, nice to see behind the scenes in the life of a reviewer, more of that please :o)

    This is a French car build in the UK

    • @BobFlavinVideo
      @BobFlavinVideo  10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Correct, Sunderland factory. I was in the factory and it's good, 59 seconds per station or something like that. The French bit is only partly correct though

    • @benanderson89
      @benanderson89 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Georges St.Pierre This car isn't french in the slightest.
      The DCi engines are co-developed with Renault (those built at the sunderland plant being more robust with better QA), but EVERY part of the car is 100% British designed, engineered and built. Not one single part comes from the Renault parts bin.

    • @prado1ist
      @prado1ist 10 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      benanderson89 Actually this car shares most subasmembllies with renault,including engines which are developed in France.This car is as English as Opel Polish or Kia Slovak.

    • @benanderson89
      @benanderson89 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Georges St.Pierre This is a brand new platform that Nissan England has developed that will then be used in 3 new Nissans in future I believe (its not the old Nissan C platform as Wikipedia suggests) and 11 new Renaults. The new platform is called "CMF" (think VW MQB). The Qashqai is the first car to use the new modular platform.
      The 1.2L Dig-T engine is actually a Nissan Engine, but the DCi engines as previously mentioned are co-developed with Renault. The XTronic CVT Gearbox is also a Nissan developed part (Renault use a Dual Clutch) and the styling is definitely done by Nissan in their own centres actually in England as well.
      Renault hasn't touched this.
      The car was designed in London, Engineered in England (with some more tinkering in Spain) and is built in Sunderland. Its the same story with the Nissan Note. Aside from co-developed DCi engines and some hot weather testing and tinkering in Spain, its as British as you can get short of sticking a Morris or Rover badge on the front.
      Other reviews and even Nissan have stated all this in plain English. So I (and other family members who works for Nissan Motor Company) shouldn't need to tell you what is already out there. :)
      Good Day!

  • @john-wynne
    @john-wynne 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    OK Please pick one :)
    Nissan Qashqai or the Hyundai ix35 or the Kia Sportage?
    Thanks Bob

    • @BobFlavinVideo
      @BobFlavinVideo  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'll have the Kia Sportage in blue, I like the looks the most. The IX35 and Sportage are the same underneath.
      Until I get a Qashqai for a proper long test I won't be able to tell about the practical stuff but if I was buying one tomorrow on pain of death I'd have a Sportage. Cool?

  • @sparkyauris
    @sparkyauris 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    this was terrible. if there is something in your way cut the film and don't let us wait with you! learned absolutely nothing from this, you kept repeating yourself that it is 'completely inoffensive' but then telling us that it was 'very handsome'. Noticed as well at least the top 4 of your top 10 cars of 2013 were VW group, including the golf at No.1, and in your review of that, you don't constantly tell us of how 'inoffensive' that car is. Maybe another 'journalist' paid by VW. Anyway there are so many talented journalists that would have made a much better effort than this.

    • @BobFlavinVideo
      @BobFlavinVideo  10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I don't get paid by any car company, I have never received any payment from VW for my opinion or my top ten. They had no idea who had made the top ten until the video was released. I don't have sponsorship or advertising other than the ad's TH-cam put on the videos.
      If you don't like the reviews then move on, watch someone else that's the point of TH-cam, you can watch what you want.

    Why do you English presenters always wear something dreadful? Do you sleep in the street at night, and in the morning get up off the dirty pavement and go review some cars? What's wrong with you people?

    • @BobFlavinVideo
      @BobFlavinVideo  8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I'm not English, I'm Irish. I'm reviewing a car not playing dress up fashion week. Thanks for the comment though, it amused me.
