Mazda looks beter from the outside, also in the inside, it's more fun to drive, it's faster, it has better transmiossion, it more reliable...
Nissan is cheaper and has more technology.

The Nissan is the best.Stylish roof and interior, significantly cheaper then the Mazda, best fuel economy, cheaper pars and revisions on par with european cars.Duster is ... best car for the money but falls short on style and confort.The good part about a cheap crossover is that you can go fishing, go places, where you would lose it when you scratch or damage the Nissan.Not to mention the 30k Mazda.Parts are cheap, everythin is cheap for the Duster, including upgrades.Mazda ... way too much money.And reliability is for people who don't know shit about cars.I can get a milion kilometers out of any junk.In fact i never buy new cos it isn't worth it, if you know cars, buyn new makes no sense, you make your car, don't buy it.Where i live japanese cars are expensive to run and mantain except Nissan who is the only japanese brand i appreciate, has a good price/quality

I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina and most people buy Volskwagens. Not a lot of people buy Japanese cars. It's propablu the same situation like in your country
for me the nissan looks better. I don't lke the curves on Mazda even though it looks stylish but it will become old-fashioned very soon. In contrast, Nissan look not as sexy as Mazda but it still looks good after a few year. The more stylish the one is, the sooner it becomes old-fashioned. Anyway, the engine of Mazda is the best but I think it's not much different from each other.

The Duster has what you need. Unrefined mean you can service it yourself. How much money can you save there?

I had the choice between Mazda and Nissan. I chose Mazda because in my opinion the headlights of Mazda look better. Mazda and Toyota is known for their reliability. And the Mazda i chose had 4x4 and automatic transmission. You can rarely find a Quashqai with 4x4 and automatic TM . Plus i also read that Nissan has issues with rust.

A brilliant, comprehensive and quick ‘romp’ thru the pro’s n cons of all three vehicles - althu not sure it’s quite a fair fight comparing the Mazda & Quasqhai to the Dacia which is designed, built n priced for a completely different market segment.
That Duster thing is cheaper? GRAB IT who cares they all look the same anyway!
I have a Dacia Duster and as much as I like it, I'd choose to have the CX-5 out of the three. However, I'd rather have a Ford Kuga over the lot of them :P

For me the duster is a no brainer. Ive owned Land Rover Defender, discovery and free landers for two decades and never used one properly offroad. In the series landies I had to wear electronic ear defenders whilst driving and get used to water coming down the pedals giving wet feet. So the Duster will be luxury by comparison. All I want is a cheap vehicle with good load capacity. I do not care about badges and hold those that do with contempt. So easy choice.
Dacia drives good and feels good. Worth every penny! Less is more and less shit gets broken. I want to drive not play with technology on the way.
Making everyone drive a dacia could be the way to solve the distractions whilst driving problem.
The Duster is out of this class of cars, you should compare it to a Lada or something cheap build for the roughest roads. I love the Duster, but I would never throw it with the luxury brands, because it's just a simple car that does what it is supposed to do and it does it great.
Why not take the 3 offroad?
Because they cant go off road mate, just look at those cars , they are not for off roading.
@@tamasbakai2026 I have a 2019 Duster Awd with General grabber at3 and it brought me everywhere i wanted to go. Of course it's not a Wrangler or Landcruiser but out of all the SUVs like the other 2 or every BMW, Audi or something it's the best offroad. It's on a level with Subaru Forester which is pretty capable offroad.

What would be more useful would be to do a real comparison of all 4x4. I recently bought a 4x4 and visited 12 different dealerships, peugeot, nissan, citroen, range rover, bmw, toyota, mercedes, mitsubishi, lexus, ford, audi and VW. Knowing whats out there actually helped me negotiate a better price at the dealership. Anyway it would be nice to just have a realistic journey for the ultimate 4x4 instead of just comparing a few. Its a little old fashioned to separate premium brand names from Japanese or french cars for example. These days they all offer pretty much the same gadgets and ride comfort especially over the 30k budget.
These two together are the best!
Hi there Matt and Rebecca, i am from Romania, and i wanna say i like all 3 cars, not entirely that is : i like Mazda CX-5 for it's exterior looks, Nissan Quashqai's smart interior, and Dacia Duster a bit for it's exterior looks and low price.

I agree with Mat and Rebecca here, the Dacia is not the best car ever because of it's wallowy steering, it's lack of practicality, but it's definitely a budget friendly car!!!

Very little was said about the transmissions though. In my country I suspect we will be getting the Qashqai with the CVT which may not do it any favors.

I'm REALLY surprised that the duster came second and the mazda third. Before I even clicked this video, I had my mind set on for nissan being first, mazda second and dacia third. Even though the reviewers say that the duster is better than the mazda, I thin the CX-5 is gonna sell and make customers WAY more happy than what the duster will do. I mean, look at it, I'd rather buy and ATV for offroading...
there is no doubt that duster is the worst car by far of those three. but duster came on second place because of its price , and also mazda is overprices I mean for that money people will buy qashqai ! Just like me :)

Its all just depends on what you want from your car.

I think the duster is the best to do you know why because it is four-wheel-drive and that thing can get you out of the sticky stuff situations and that’s something that the mask doesn’t have neither does the Nissan so the winner is duster
Qashqai cheapest to run ?! also the Duster was not made to be luxurious or anything more. The Duster has been made to be cheap, economical and reliable and it does very good at this chapter. In my opinion i believe the comparation between these cars is not fair
+Andrei Mostis when it comes to cheap to run you also have to think about brakes and tires. some people change the brakes more than 3 times per year. the duster weights 1200kg. for an suv!

The Mazda is the best car. It's bigger, made in Japan and still looks fresh inside and out. Can't understand why carbuyer always says Mazda interiors are no good because they are easily the highest quality out of all the asian makes and look great. The Nissan is still great car in its own right and a lot cheaper to buy then the Mazda so it comes down to budget. Personally I'd have the Nissan on price.

You get what you pay for. And those Dacias are being sold in thousends. As if streets and roads were not full of lousy cars allready.
Those 3 are different size, price and money. CX-5 feels most complete, but I'll go with Yeti. BTW You both look so lovely ;)

This is the first time I am beginning to suspect that they are getting paid to advertise certain cars. They did not even mention that the Mazda is 2 years old and comparing it with a brand new Nissan is not fair. The Mazda CX5 is a great SUV.
How come you did the non-facelifted version of Duster if you did this test on 2014? The facelift model was launched on 2013 and it differs quite a bit from the old one. Still, it's just a facelift but the whole equipping of the car is better. Also, the point you did not choose the version of Laureate Sports (thats how it's called here), it comes with quite a bit of more modern time equipment. So you picked entry-level 4wd diesel pre-liftface model, new Quashqai and the CX-5. All are good at their price range, especially if you would have picked the correct models for the test.
The only proper 4x4 car that can deal with off road situations is Dacia Duster. It is the only car that looks like a man's car.

Looks are purely a matter of taste. Personally, I find the Mazda more elegant and the Nissan to blingy. But you knew they were going to chose the Nissan within the first minute.

Plenty of space for 5 people to move around in. 7 at a pinch. Loads of toys for the boys to play with, Plenty of room to see the surrounding planet and what's more, very comfy seating.

The Mazda CX-5 is the best car there, however all are not as good as the Honda CrV

Comparative should be done with the same cubic.so we cant talk for fuel economy,its not the same .

Why they didn't reviewed the new Duster facelift ??
Nissan is not the best looking car for me,it is Mazda cx-5. I was on car fair a month ago and i was disappointed by new qashqai (too much plastic inside and it doesn't give you that special feeling),but mazda whoaa ..i was in love with that car as soon i stept into it ! and despite it has bigger price i would choose cx-5 any time.
