The kitchen is looking great!!! Get some rubber feet for those beautiful cutting boards!! It will help stop the boards from slipping on the counter!! Love what you're doing with the place and looking forward to seeing more!!
Another great video. Your kitchen looks adorable. I didn’t want the video to stop. I wish they was longer. I love your videos. Thank you for sharing. I can’t wait for the next one.❤
I love your videos, just discovered the channel a couple weeks ago. My husband and I wanted to buy land near Lake Kabetogama 10 years ago but it was just too far from us, we live in central Illinois, so you are living our dream! Moose Lodge is awesome, it’s fun watching you 2 work together. We built a new house and my kitchen cabinets are green with green flecked granite counters and a walnut island, so I’m loving your kitchen. My green is lighter but I wanted closer to your color but hubby wasn’t so sure about that. Anyway, enjoy your videos because you aren’t afraid to do just about any project. Thanks for sharing with us.
Nice work Laura and Jason! Kitchener looks great! Good idea metal behind the fridge! No sandy spots at the lake? Perfect time of year: nobody around run in, soap up and run out, nude of course👍 Haha! Really like your Cabin: can’t believe how much you have done already!! Barry Deacon Mb. Canada 🇨🇦
I didn’t realize you guys were that far behind on your videos you said when you come back in November, this is now December wow😢 oh well, we’ll watch what you post when you post it😂
😊 2 fyi's 1. You can use washers to help even out spacing with the logs and shelf brackets. 2. You can use 2x 4 or 3" trees trunk from floor to top of wall height on 1 or both sides of wood stove , screw to the floor a foot apart for vertical supports and you can stack more of your firewood in a decorative rustic way and have a basket or wood box by the base full of kindling fire starting supplies 😊 ive seen it done in a tiny cabin and it was really cool done with tree support 😊
Moved to a large city to take care of dad. But your channel brings fond memories of living close to cabin life. Not as off grid as you guys. But rural outside of town.
Love the shelves in your kitchen…the kitchen island came up a treat with the linseed oil on it…very homely kitchen, well done…. Have a good week, from Ruth in NZ
Love it!!!! Will you be having Christmas there with your family?! Bet it will be so gorgeous if you decorate for Christmas!!! Nothing like a cabin decorated at Christmas time!!
“What are you talking about Willis?“ Is a phrase that actor Gary Coleman used on the program Different Strokes. Aired in 70’ & 80’s. He said it to his friend because he did not understand a word his friend was saying. I think you might have been joking about not knowing the info but, if not…here ya go. P.S the kitchen is looking great!
A suggestion. You should probably treat both side of that island top. It will warp over a short amount of time. Even shorter time with the fireplace sucking all the moisture out of the room. Great progress.
Love y'alls channel. Like my hubby and I (widow). We both worked together and apart very well to achieve our dream 60 acres. Place is looking steller! Sending love and light and positive vibes from Northern Arizona 😘
Good idea to put a heat protetion behing wood pipes cause years ago . I woke up at 3 am to a weard noise coming from the living room an I seen that my ex so an so . left the side door open to the wood stove .An the fire was roaring so much I seen in the dark the pipes wear glowing red . So, I stayed up untill it all slowed down . Thank God it didn,t start a fire . I told dumb ex about it that morning an also seen where the wall had been scorched from the heat .
I think that the water is red from wood tannins….at least that is what Brooke Whipple said on her channel, her little A frame cabin she built is on the river in the UP
Take a 2-3” slab off a branch like a saucer n install behind your lower bracket to make the space n give shelf leverage🤷♀️and use a battery operated light bar on the bottom side to give light to the sink🤷♀️
I would’ve just used wood dowels to hang your shelves. That way they’re floating drilled the doll through the wood shelving drill the Dow and glue into logs.
I like the metal idea behind the refrigerator but my husband said it might cause mice to crawl up between it n make nests? Just a thought. I love the butcher block that's beautiful. I live watching you guys. #Mainelifeoffgrid 🌲🦌❤️🫎🍁
I think the shelves are perfect 😊

Just put a damp cloth or paper towel under your cutting board!!👍
Shelves look good Laura. 👍😊

you should move the outlet above the sink

Your kitchen is awesome… beautiful green.. but I still would like to see the furniture by the door paint it but that’s your choice❤
Love it!!!! Will you be having Christmas there with your family?! Bet it will be so gorgeous if you decorate for Christmas!!! Nothing like a cabin decorated at Christmas time!!

Willis was Arnold’s older brother

Love watching you both and the improvements being made at the cabin 👍

I love your kitchen! You guys have done AMAZING things so far! ❤ I hope the water from the lake does discolour your lovely blond hair!
You’re Kitchen turned out so pretty, you should feel very proud, you’re such a hard worker ❤
It looks great! ❤
But that curtain beside the stove is stressing me. Lol
I love your channel. The progress you’ve made is incredible. 👍❤️
I just love it! Great job Laura!!
Kitchen is very nice
The kitchen looks good
It looking so homey, love it!
Kitchen looks great. nice job.
Looking like home. ❤
Another idea that might work is putting hooks under your shelf to hang mugs or other things to free up shelf space.
Looks good. I would suggest some under cabinet led lights
Awesome looking kitchen! Great job!
Light under bottom shelf ?
Battery sensor one
A great idea! 🎉
The kitchen looks great Laura. The curtain by the stove is concerning though. That tub is awesome, will be great when the plumbing is in :)
Nice to see you two
Great job guys! The kitchen is lovely Laura. You two tickle me, hehe such a fun couple...
The kitchen looks awesome!
You two are so funny. Love the kitchen !!!
Love y'alls channel. Like my hubby and I (widow). We both worked together and apart very well to achieve our dream 60 acres. Place is looking steller! Sending love and light and positive vibes from Northern Arizona 😘

Good night Clark. 🤣🤣🤣

🖐😎👍looks great!!
Yes I like it
Congrats on yr kitchen 😊
Kitchen looks wonderful 👍
Make the lower one only one board, then next up go 2. Gives y'all more room by sink
You did good Laura,
Y’all need a well,

LI would keep those curtains away from the cook stove. That would be a concern as well Just a thought. Love what you are doing.
That lower shelf looks a little close to the stove burners?
I think that the water is red from wood tannins….at least that is what Brooke Whipple said on her channel, her little A frame cabin she built is on the river in the UP
Yup
maybe cut a small disc from a 2 or 3 inch branch for the bottom of those shelf brackets
Take a 2-3” slab off a branch like a saucer n install behind your lower bracket to make the space n give shelf leverage🤷♀️and use a battery operated light bar on the bottom side to give light to the sink🤷♀️
Looks great. How many coats of oil did you do on butcher block? You might want a bar light attached to the underside of shelve.
Free floating shelves would be easier since you are mounting them to the logs.
You need to make floating shelves
With all the moisture from cooking on the stove and using the sink, should you coat the shelves with some protective substance (wax, oil, paint, etc.)
❤❤
Better to be safe than sorry later.
I think you might not like your shelves so far over your stove! Using the right rear burner might damage the shelves!
What is the type and color of paint you used on the kitchen island? Link to cabinet pulls?
I would’ve just used wood dowels to hang your shelves. That way they’re floating drilled the doll through the wood shelving drill the Dow and glue into logs.
I think you'll end up moving the lower shelf up. You'll bang your head on it eventually.
You’re going to be a redhead when you get done using that water
Pull Ur fridge away from the wall. Let air circulate.
Don't use it as butcher block linseed oil is not poisonous
You have your
You have curtains next to your Cooker 😮
Sorry dowels
I like the metal idea behind the refrigerator but my husband said it might cause mice to crawl up between it n make nests? Just a thought.
I love the butcher block that's beautiful.
I live watching you guys.
