Is there a way to keep dash lights on anytime engine is on? 2014 tundra 1794 edition.

Good question! Well, this is what I think, please don't take this as correct this is just an unconfirmed idea. The idea will be to open the dimmer output circuit. This is literally cut that wire that goes from the dimmer to the lights and connect it to a 2 positions switch. Let say we have a switch with position A, B, and a common C terminal. The terminal A will be connected to the dimmer output and the common terminal C will be connected to the lights circuit. At this point if the switch it’s in the A position the lights will work as usual. The tricky part will be on terminal B. If the dimmer works with ground, then that terminal B must be connected to a ground when the truck is on. You can use a relay connected to the accessories circuit to provide ground to the switch when the truck is on. This is assuming that the dimmer works with ground. If the dimmer works with positive then the relay is no needed and the terminal B can be connected directly to the accessories circuit. But is very probable that the dimmer will work with ground. When the switch is in position B the dimmer will not have any effect and the lights will be On with full brightness. The other option will be to do something similar but opening the circuit in the dimmer input but this will be a very complex and even more risky. This is a really interesting question and this is only a conceptual idea. My recommendation will be to find the diagrams related to your model to confirm if this is possible and if you do this you have to be very careful because a short on this area will be an expensive repair or replacement. Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any damage. 😬 BTW, this is something I can try on my own Tundra a make a video about it.
