It's so neat to see how Hwasa went from initially being bashed by many about her unconventional looks to now being one of the most popular brand ambassadors and a trendsetter. The thing is too that just about every group out there loves Mamamoo and often gushes about them, so its hard for their fans to not cheer for them as well. Plus Mamamoo puts an incredible amount of work into their stages for these awards shows often changing up Korea and musical arrangements and making them into a big production, so even other groups' fans are excited to see what they will do.

The States/Western music sphere is almost completely just White & Black artists/musicians with some Latin/Hispanics. It isn't that simple to just waltz over and promote as a Korean/Asian person musically. There is a lot of discrimination and so far only BTS & Black Pink to a smaller degree has managed to pave a way for themselves despite ungodly amounts of snarky condescension and racism from Non-Asian people.
