I have discovered bands that I should have known more about (The Doors ❤) and genres I never liked but now LOVE (80's/90's/Seattle sound or "grunge" if you will). My gold standard for everything now is Alice in Chains in the Layne era. So I got here to Deftones from a cover done by @DRUMMERMIKE (he did My Own Summer.) I have been working through the music and have to say I love this album. In particular Digital Bath and RX Queen but.... Holly hell! Change gave me goosebumps and yes I was channeling AIC. Haunting, grungy, ethereal/other worldly, harmonies and dare I say trippy/psychedelic. Everything I love in a song and music. I will now be listening a lot, even if 20+ years late. ❤🔥🤘
@@57ashdotKoi is fvcking EPIC just like White Pony. Honestly being a 91' baby I was a little late to the party, BUT my family is HEAVY into music and I particularly gravitated to Grunge and "Nu-Metal" and it never left me and never will. I played a few years of amateur football in Adelaide in the early 2000s. Occasionally we'd need to head out to the very working class northern suburbs and play against guys who were (with respect) rough. They had this wildness about them, they (and their supporters) were unpredictably violent (including off the ball), and were heavily tattooed well before it was cool. I remember one game cranking this album on the drive out north. The plan was for it to fire me up, but it just made me morose and sullen and I played like s**t. Absolutely amazing album though.

Entre la tuerie de Colombine et l'effondrement des tours jumelles du World Trade Center, il y a eu cet album magnifique qui sonne autant comme la fin de tout que comme un commencement. Fin de siècle et début d'un autre. Il a beaucoup de sens.
I cant believe the level of shitteness they felt down to from this. As a young man I always rebelled against musicians tearing apart their own bands "to exit on top". Now I totally get this idea. Deftones should have broken up in 2005.

My favorite album by it its my Thang
Anyone else notice the first song on here and Self Titled talk about ... Camera's, and Cars..
It's like this person he's telling " Soon , I'll let you go " gets caught up in the. " car bomb..click , click ..boom "
😂
I'm high and just messing..
Hard to pick a fave Lp.Maybe it’s the next one!
i love white pony, but the self titled album is their best, by far.
Ohms is the only album so far that I haven't really listened to or gotten in to, though I did buy one of the Dots and have the record. Gore is actually my favorite one. :)
Who's here in 2024?!
Um yes Hello people thank you for letting me find this great music AI of private thoughts for today ?!?!
I forgot how jacked this album is. I need a mosh pit
2:26 I cry sometimes at this part.. (Personal reasons)
okay
Why TF is this album so fresh 24 years later? Deftones is ageless. Thee most fire band in existence! Love the tones also pretty obsessed with crosses, chino is the man.
Just realized chino got the kool keith flow on this
pretty accurate
Immortal !!!!
Passenger what a tune 🎶
my favorite by them. hands down
@@katiestout505 aye my favourite aswell 🤘
@3:57 starts the album for the OGs... iyktyk
Right! "Back To School" it's the last one
Entre la tuerie de Colombine et l'effondrement des tours jumelles du World Trade Center, il y a eu cet album magnifique qui sonne autant comme la fin de tout que comme un commencement. Fin de siècle et début d'un autre. Il a beaucoup de sens.
🔥🔥🔥
Abe Cunningham 🙂
Not going to lie, they recycle a lot of the same rifts. Two songs have almost the same rift as engine 9
Whats ur point. U cant do it
@@setterhound7765 they’re power chords. Anyone intermediate guitar player can do it. Sorry you can’t
wait which songs?
Have you seen her
Grap the white pony cd where doing some lines of coke . .
Me:i dont have it
Urn: dude find it goes back to doing lol
Old heads know that Feticeira was the original opening track to White Pony
Digital Bath & Change (In the House of Flies) ... the X-tasis!
I cant believe the level of shitteness they felt down to from this. As a young man I always rebelled against musicians tearing apart their own bands "to exit on top". Now I totally get this idea. Deftones should have broken up in 2005.
but then we wouldn’t have receive great albums like diamond eyes koi no yokan and ohms
@@aaronb556 Exactly!
@@ФеофанЭтополедолжнобытьзаполнеif you don't like it you don't have to listen to it dude. Let people do what they want 😂
@@cybercheese3Well, since artsy-fartsy reasoning clearly won't work with your type, I'll tell you this: they can do what they want on their own time. When they sell music to me they have to deliver.
💜Classically delight😂💜
Around 2002, One of my friends said it best: ' Deftones are alright for a few songs..but then it's like "God, STFU Chino"'.
At that moment Relativity was General
i like back to school but the start with feticeira is way better
Just 👂🎶❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥
For me this is better than around the fur...
🔥
Type shit .... 💪🏼😎❤️🔥
I own this in White Vinyl🤌
so run
💗
29:31 Fuck...
Elite hits like a BMTH track well before thier time.
El disco que menos me gusta de Deftones, no entiendo por qué la gente dice que es el mejor o de los mejores... para mi es el peor, sin duda.
Just realized the typo on the title
Me too lol
@@rustyapellido4611 honestly it has some charm like knife prty
NOT the original release album. Back to school wasn't on this.
It was on the euro lp
@@mikie6582 No wasn't i am from Europe and got this album on release day. this is from a re-release or something
It says 2000 in the title
@@ticallianstallion9328 ......And? I don't care if it said 1988 (12yr before it was released). I'm telling you right now it was not on the original release! Do you understand or not?
@@TheMusicTimeMachine.Why so serious?
So??? They are the leaders, back at school----For the Def?

Непревзойденный альбом.
Great album, but Adrenaline is superior.
