My youngest son always got a Easter basket he is 50 years old., But last year was his last. He passed away last Dec. he loved that he always got a Easter basket. I also gave my Mom and Dad Easter baskets till they passed away. So keep up the good work Brooke.
We never had big gifts in our Easter baskets! 🧺 It had candy! An we LOVED it! So I do the same with some small things like pens, cards books etc… Chocolate bunny, jelly beans 🫘 and other stuff!
I do Easter baskets for my 44 and 41 year old daughters and my 16 year old granddaughter. As long as I can I will continue. It makes my momma heart happy.
One thing we picked up from a friend, give the kids a choice to get a certain amount for an Easter basket bought before Easter or get to spend that same amount the day after when Walmart has candy marked way down. This was a great way to teach about how our holidays are used to market products and about budgeting and decisions. Guess what, no one ever opted for the basket and grass again! LOL
My mom did this with us as soon as the youngest figured out about the Easter Bunny... We would have more candy that way and we figured that out quickly. 😁
I have three children 21,18,16 all still get Easter 🐇 basket just like you i don't spend to much don't have that kind of money sometimes what i do is when Valentine's candy goes on sale i stock up on that candy and give it to the kids for Easter it's the same it's just instead of a Easter bunny it's shaped like a heart that saves me money too
When I was a kid (I’m 70 yo), my three siblings and I got a hollow chocolate Easter bunny and we shared a pkg of Easter plain M&Ms. We thought that was the best. Times changed over the years. My kids got a plastic basket filled with the dreaded Easter green grass and candy, usually $5 total per basket 😂😂. Debi in Vicksburg, MS. 🥰🥰
The Easter Bunny always left a swimsuit, flip flops, a chocolate bunny and candy when mine were young. Now that they’re older, they still expect an Easter basket. 😂
I used to put a kite in my boys baskets. I now carry on the tradition with all of my grandkids. That is their favorite thing in the basket. They could care less about the candy 😂. It is all about those kites.
If you have multiple kids and not much money buy multi packs at the dollar store like cookies in individual packets and buy a couple of big bags of candy and divide it into small zip lock bags. you don't have to spend allot of money to make most kids happy. They are just glad to get something. Get bags of things at the dollar tree like kettle corn. It's looks big in a basket and helps fill up space, When I was a kid the chocolate rabbit was what I really wanted. I think if that was all my mother could have given me, I would have been happy. Also, there are home made goods like chocolate chip cooks. Always a winner. Or rice Krispie bars.
Since I too HATE the easter grass, I buy packs of the plastic eggs AFTER Easter the year before, then fill them with bagged candy or cookies... like I buy a box of the Easter cookies, then put 2-3 in the eggs. Or I would buy bags of the sour candy, and half fill an egg with it, kisses work (generic is fine) or the footballs that type thing.
I use hats or caps for the upcoming warm weather for the " basket" for the treat holder for my grandkids. One year it was a child sized wheelbarrow for the three of them, filled with garden seeds/ items and some edible treats...
I will be 53 a few days after Easter and my mother still give my sisters and I Easter bags. Those of us that are local will see her but she sends my sister in Florida hers. Sometimes I come home and find a random bag hanging on my door with my favorite things she picked up while grocery shopping. The latest bag had all kinds of berries, a pineapple and chocolate covered jelly rings. Never stop treating your grown children like kids. These will be some of their most cherished memories.
My oldest daughter has three kids age 19, 16, and 12. They opted for a family Easter Basket last year instead of individual ones, so she is doing the same this year as well.
Brooke Your Easter 🐣 Baskets Are Cute and Thoughtful for each child. My boys are 28, 24 and 16. I was sad when they got older and the FuN and JoY seemed to fade. So I purchased large plastic eggs from the dollar tree and I bought a 50 piece neon glow bracelets container: the ones you bend and they glow in the dark. Well I bent the bracelets and placed them in the large plastic eggs and hid them in the backyard at night. I had the boys and there grown friends participating in the Night Time Easter 🐣 egg hunting Festivities. Such GREAT FuN 🤩 had by ALL. Make FuN and Loving 🥰 Memories that last a lifetime.

When I was little, my siblings and I would sometimes get bikes for Easter but i think it had to do with midwest family, all birthdays in December. Heres a bike, oh you cant ride it for four months. So Easter.
We did a cheap dollar tree bucket for each of mg kiddos, candy, a bathing suit & a pair of shorts and t shirt from the good ole Wally World! We keep it simple & small too!
My mom did Easter baskets for us until we moved to the states. We never made it home for Easter when we went to visit her. She did send all of us German chocolate calendars every year.
You treat your boys so specially. You give them things you know THEY love. Nice 👍 job, Brooke. Have a wonderful Palm Sunday and Easter. Love you, girl. Love 💕 and Hugs. 💙💙💙
When my daughter was little i would buy a semi lg gift bag and would put a new spring outfit, a solid Mally’s small milk chocolate bunny, acute carriture toothbrush, bubblegum toothpaste, coloring books new crayons, maybe a jump rope, bubbles and sidewalk chalk….to this day she’s not a big candy fend….halloween she would go all out w her costume, go trick or treating then come home and hand us all the candy….. nice baskets….our tradition was just what we called the community basket and we shared the eggs and candy….

One year I had the full grown single guys over for Easter Dinner. My kids decorated eggs and we hid them from the guys. They were acting to macho to look for eggs. Then they saw one, competition was on. We had so much fun! I even gave them Easter Baskets to collect eggs. Lol
We don't overspend on Easter baskets usually. This year, my oldest had Easter fall on their birthday, so we did celebrate it the day before and did do a few extra Easter basket items for him. In our Easter baskets everyone gets a requested item, a couple of needed items, a clothing item, a few fun items, and a couple of treats. We reuse our baskets every year.
I agree with you, I still make my son one he is 14 and I even do my husband one they both look forward to it, it’s like nostalgic, fun ❤ And I agree Dollar tree really is a great place to get some good stuff to stuff it with! ❤🎉
Super Awesome Parents!!! They're gonna be super happy. Great kids by the way. I remember one year we had kites in our easter baskets. I have 2 older brothers and one younger sister. So, Im the youngest boy and our sister is the baby. But, my parents split up 16 times and my Dad raised us for the most part. But, at the times that were good, we had a pretty cool easter basket during those times. I'll never forget our kites though. Mine was the teenage mutant ninja turtle's. Lol
These aren't bad ideas for easter baskets I love them. But I had to make my own with sensory approved toys and my special needs son favorite candy and gummies for his basket. ♥️♥️ I hope you have a wonderful easter weekend.
Brooke, I hate that little grass too!! I've banned it from my house! My MIL bought it anyway last year and it was such a pain!! I was a little grumpy about that! Love the idea of using tissue paper instead! Love the baskets you put together!! Thank you for sharing what you got for your kids!
OMG I live in Australia your Easter is like Christmas, here in Australia we only put Easter eggs in our kids Easter baskets. My kids would have loved what you do. ❤from Michelle in Australia
Different families here in the US do Easter baskets differently. Many spend closer to $5 to $10 worth of candy and items per basket. Others can afford more.
Definitely some good ideas. I have two nephews, 8 and 16. The 8 year old just got braces so nothing gummy for him this year. The little chocolate bunnies and the carrot pixie sticks they might have to share with their auntie. LOL I always get them some M & Ms. They also like PEZ dispensers and candy. Thanks again for another great video. Blessings to you and your family.
That’s a great idea! We don’t do candy a lot, mainly for holidays. Just a special little treat! One year I skimped on the candy 😂 they noticed. I was like Don’t break traditions Brooke! 😂
Great baskets Brooke , you tailored each barley to each child snd that’s important to them , they will remember that you did this for them well into adulthood ! And I made my son an Easter basket into his 40’s ! My son is now 53 and he feels he’s out grown such things but he has the memories as do I !! God bless ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈
Those are great baskets! My one and only is 28 so enjoy this time. He was Kylen's age yesterday. I think they are thoughtful, personalized and fun. Exactly what a basket needs to be. Have a wonderful weekend and be blessed always, my Southerland Squad! xoxo
We don't do Easter grass either -- just candy, a couple of inexpensive toys, bubbles, and an ounce of silver to add to their stash. I *thought* we were going to be able to skip the Easter egg hunt this year, but my almost 16-year-old insisted it was her favorite holiday tradition.
I loved this one because it reminded me of making my own 3 baskets. I now have six grandchildren as well as my 3 kids so Im not able to make them anymore. Their parents make their own children baskets so I guess Ive passed on the reigns lol. Still it was fun to see what you got for your kiddos. Happy Easter yall !
You could get Dollar Tree Easter cards. Put $5 in each card for their savings accounts. If they don't have savings accounts then start one for each child. Make it a rule with the parents that money you give the grandkids goes into savings accounts. Knowing that you're teaching them an important lesson of saving money is priceless. You can start a child's savings account with no minimum amount. Only give the cards and money for special holidays so you can afford it, too. Happy Easter to you! 🐇🐣🪺
That dang easter grass. I did it ONCE when my daughter was younger and my cat ate it! I saw that grass again later when she threw it up. No more grass ever! 🤣
I went to Aldi and got German chocolate bunnies and small chocolate eggs. I brought back a dozen real original Kinder eggs from Germany and some jelly beans. Used our own Easter baskets.
When my son (now 35) was about 5 he told me one day that he knew there was no Easter bunny. I asked him how he knew. Because of the basket his grandmother (my mil) gave him. He said "what Easter bunny would give you socks and underwear instead of candy?" Smart kid!
I still give my “adult” kids, 16, 19 and 21, Easter baskets. I also make their boyfriends/girlfriends baskets as well. They are always grateful and enjoy them.
My 24-year-old moved out this past fall, and I'm still making her a basket. It's actually a jelly tote that I'm putting paper grass in but I might trade it for that tissue paper. That's a great idea. Last year, I got each kid an age appropriate devotional for Easter beside their baskets. This year, I'm just getting candy and if I think of something else, that, too. Our girls won't be hunting eggs because they are grown (24 and 21). Our boys will be. They're 18 (he is very low functioning on the spectrum) and 8. I get Walmart grocery pickup orders every Friday and I've been getting a little at a time for Easter every week in March and putting it away so I didn't have to buy it all at once. Dollar General had several Easter things for $1 and $2, like pez and caramel eggs and cotton candy, so I got some of that this week, too.
Those baskets are great. I have already bought a lots of stuff for my grandkids baskets. I haven't bought any candy yet. I started out saying I'm not going to spend much this year and I had bought in different trips. I didn't realize that I had that much until I started putting it together 😮. It'll be fine! Next year I will do everything in one trip.
You are a momma after my own heart! Those could have been my own for my kids when they were little, right down to the tissue paper because I hated the grass! I bet they know exactly whose is whose without name tags. Mine did! I still contribute to my grandkids baskets and have one big basket for the adult “kids”. ❤
I hate hate hate Easter Grass!!! I've never used it, just leave it with nothing in the bottom here. My video came out yesterday, I spent a bit more but still don't feel like I went crazy. I tried to do fun snacks/treats that weren't candy. We have enough candy in this house for like 4 years!!! Plus, they will get tons of candy from my grandma (though I did tell her we have a ton of candy because she was getting us more every 2 weeks) and my dad. My mom tried to do less candy but still got some favorites just like I did.
The Easter baskets were cute and creative. Thank you for keeping them in a reasonable price. Love the description of the boy's interests. Have a blessed Spring and Easter.

That’s a great idea! We don’t do candy a lot, mainly for holidays. Just a special little treat! One year I skimped on the candy 😂 they noticed. I was like Don’t break traditions Brooke! 😂
Awesome job on the baskets❤ love ur channel so fun
Great baskets Brooke , you tailored each barley to each child snd that’s important to them , they will remember that you did this for them well into adulthood ! And I made my son an Easter basket into his 40’s ! My son is now 53 and he feels he’s out grown such things but he has the memories as do I !! God bless ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈
Nice baskets! Any kid would love that. Thank you Brooke.
Those are great baskets! My one and only is 28 so enjoy this time. He was Kylen's age yesterday. I think they are thoughtful, personalized and fun. Exactly what a basket needs to be. Have a wonderful weekend and be blessed always, my Southerland Squad! xoxo
Amen . Easter and Christmas are about the Lord.
😂 oh no
I went to Aldi and got German chocolate bunnies and small chocolate eggs. I brought back a dozen real original Kinder eggs from Germany and some jelly beans. Used our own Easter baskets.
You have been a Blessing for so long to many people. Thank you. 😊
Love these affordable ideas!! I'm always on a budget!
I’m a big kid! I’ll take one of each please!
Great ideas! You are an awesome Momma! My mom still makes basket for my sisters and I. Now I love making them for my Daughter🌷Have a wonderful Easter🌷
Great ideas and your kids are going to love 💕 the contents! Thanks for sharing the ideas! ✅
Looks perfect. I don't go overboard with Easter baskets either. ❤
We do summer stuff for easter. So basketball, jumprope, baseball/bat, towel etc sometimes a family board game if good sale.
Brooke! The tissue paper is a brilliant idea! 💗✌🏼
When cleaning out my attic i found Easter grass from 15 yrs ago. Lol. I used to give clothes as well lol
When my son (now 35) was about 5 he told me one day that he knew there was no Easter bunny. I asked him how he knew. Because of the basket his grandmother (my mil) gave him. He said "what Easter bunny would give you socks and underwear instead of candy?" Smart kid!
😂 that’s so funny! I bet I could find some of I looked hard enough
Baskets are cute. The grass does show up months later
I still give my “adult” kids, 16, 19 and 21, Easter baskets. I also make their boyfriends/girlfriends baskets as well. They are always grateful and enjoy them.
Great baskets !! I need ideas Brooke my granddaughter is 2.5 and my grandson is 1.5
Great job! Very similar to what we do for grands plus a few beach items.
I love the tissue paper idea!!! Thanks! Also I still make baskets for my family and their family, just little things =)
I love ❤ your Easter baskets on a budget too. You rock,,! Easter blessings to you and family everyone✝️ 🐇🌷🐣
You did a great job! I think I’m going to make a basket for my 20 year old son and my husband this year.
Easter 🐰🐣 goodness ❤
Cute baskets Brooke. I bought my kids some items at our local Walgreens too that was reasonable. Have a great weekend.
I bet they will be thrilled! Super nice baskets! Thanks for the ideas.

My sons are both grown and I still do Easter baskets for them! Thank you for sharing your beautiful family with us. Oh, and the fart whistle definitely would have been in the basket for my kids! 😅
I love making baskets for my 4 granddaughters it’s so much fun . Yes we know the real reason for Easter and my granddaughters are taught the real reason as well 😍 love what you fixed in the baskets ❤️
That’s awesome! Making baskets is a fun tradition. It’s something we will always remember doing.
