I once dropped a mallet on the last note of a piece. And we were on like a suspended stage so it first dropped on the stage and then onto the floor. I was in last row tho. But then a bunch of people started giggling, the constructor had a weird look and everyone was looking akward and I was morified. But it was because of a phone going of in the audience and barely anyone noticed the mallet drop.
It was like a glissando when I dropped the mallet as well. So a big glissando on xylo, then I got caught on the top row, and dropped it lol And during that same performance someone had just packed the tambourine up during the break, and then I had to use the very heavy backup one (which sucked). But then during my part I started out holding it in my right hand for some reason and i just could not play at all
@@myotiswii Ahhh man that sucks lol. I play piano, so I have to perform alone. At one recital I forgot a single note and had to restart like twice, then at another one I completely forgot half of my song 💀. My last recital was my first close-to-flawless one but on the last note of my last song I got cocky, tried to play an octave, and hit the wrong note in my right hand. 🤣
The other day i was playing with my friends on stage and the drummer accidently lost his sticks during his solo and they went flying into the audience 😂
I feel you man ,_, This previous year I was playing in a Symphony and in one of the pieces I switched from snare to xylophone, but I forgot to put my plastic mallets out beforehand, so I grabbed the mallets that were there, which were rubber, and thus not audible (I was also mainly doing glissandos, which wasn't doing me any favors). I still enjoyed playing in the concert but I felt so bad after
I once played a solo xylophone piece and on the last note, the LAST note, the tip of my mallet flew off my stick right onto the saxophones. Luckily there was still warranty on that pair :)
one concert i forgot the fricking timpani mallets😭😭😭 but thankfully it wasnt like a rlly important concert and we didn't really need to play the timpani but still i felt so stupid lol

For anyone who’s curious: it’s at 7:08ish in his other full concerto video.
