Good stuff! It's funny how so many people at fly-ins feel the need to do a foot drag on takeoff. But, when I fly with people normally, they hardly ever do them. Just an observation
My thoughts too. When you have to do reverse launch on paramotor its probably too windy to fly. Unless you want to fly circles around LZ. Or launching from beach
@@jasonsatterley4282 maybe, but in case of a really bad drop, I'd still like my helmet - plus you definitely need ear protection and a place to mount a camera. ;) I've scraped my knee twice in ~400 flights, but long pants generally offset that risk. I've taken a few line burns and bruises on my arms, but never my elbows. I've twisted my ankle three times, so good boots are a high priority for me. A prop to the shins though . . ugggh, that would be terrible.
@@dkumpula001 10000% agree on the boots. I don't care if it's 99 degrees outside, I always have 2 pieces of gear - a helmet and my Saloman hiking boots. Good support for my old-man ankles and beefy heel coverage in case the worst happens. I'd prefer not to sever my achillies.
Lovin' these. Watching those long toe drags on launch, make me fear for peoples heels...
I always think the same thing
i learned so much! really helps to see all these different pilots launch differently.
5:50min STOP LOOKING AT THE BLOODY WING! add power ya knucklehead! wuhahahha 🤣
At least the swimmer was on the edge. He almost saved it too.
I hate that I missed the first swim. I'm glad you were there to memorialize it.
Bruh that nucleon was painful to watch......
Great footage thanks for sharing
Great content! Not sure if that guy is quite ready to fly that snake though. A bit sketchy.

People get big muscles around other people. You know that LOL
Not sure why people are so stuck on doing a reverse. If it's questionable, just do a forward.... Unless it is super gusty, then I get it.

I love these compilations you make Ripa! Sounds a bit windy from the wind hitting your mic.
7:09 Was that Tom from Parajet taking his annual bath again?
The knucklehead comment had me in stitches 😂
🤣.........he almost ran it out!
Yikes ! Was that the Parajet guy on the GTX taking the first swim?,,,again?
Job security for prop manufacturers, right there!
😂
Where are all the saucy dudek launches this year? Just saw the one.
ER- body getting Ripped by Ripman. Haha. love it.
Nice bro 👊🏻
Todd!! Everyone's there but me. What are those ozone wings with winglets?
Viper 5 think?
Tom likes that water. thats not his first time is it?
😂 2nd
I just don't understand why pilots with questionable skills attempt to take off with bare feet . . and then double-down with a foot-drag launch.
But they always have a helmet on .
Seems like knee pads , elbow pads and leave your phone in your pocket are extremely more important than a helmet
